εποιησεν ταυτα σοι εν τω εκπορνευσαι σε οπισω εθνων και εμιαινου εν τοις ενθυμημασιν αυτων

The people asked me, “Won’t you tell us what these things mean to us, that you act like this?”

και ειπεν προς με ο λαος ουκ αναγγελεις ημιν τι εστιν ταυτα α συ ποιεις

“Son of man, those who inhabit the waste places in the land of Israel speak, saying, ‘Abraham was one, and he inherited the land; but we are many. The land is given us for inheritance.’

υιε ανθρωπου οι κατοικουντες τας ηρημωμενας επι της γης του ισραηλ λεγουσιν εις ην αβρααμ και κατεσχεν την γην και ημεις πλειους εσμεν ημιν δεδοται η γη εις κατασχεσιν

When they came to the nations where they went, they profaned my holy name, in that men said of them, ‘These are Yahweh’s people, and have left his land.’

And when they entered H935 (QalImpf) unto the heathen, H1471 whither they went, H935 (QalPerf) they profaned H2490 (PielImpf) my holy H6944 name, H8034 when they said H559 (QalInf) to them, These are the people H5971 of the Lord, H3068 and are gone forth H3318 (QalPerf) out of his land. H776

και εισηλθοσαν εις τα εθνη ου εισηλθοσαν εκει και εβεβηλωσαν το ονομα μου το αγιον εν τω λεγεσθαι αυτους λαος κυριου ουτοι και εκ της γης αυτου εξεληλυθασιν

He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I answered, “Lord Yahweh, you know.”

και ειπεν προς με υιε ανθρωπου ει ζησεται τα οστα ταυτα και ειπα κυριε συ επιστη ταυτα

Again he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones, and tell them, ‘You dry bones, hear Yahweh’s word.

Again he said H559 (QalImpf) unto me, Prophesy H5012 (NiphImpv) upon these bones, H6106 and say H559 (QalPerf) unto them, O ye dry H3002 bones, H6106 hear H8085 (QalImpv) the word H1697 of the Lord. H3068

και ειπεν προς με προφητευσον επι τα οστα ταυτα και ερεις αυτοις τα οστα τα ξηρα ακουσατε λογον κυριου

The Lord Yahweh says to these bones: “Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you will live.

Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God H3069 unto these bones; H6106 Behold, I will cause breath H7307 to enter H935 (HiphPtc) into you, and ye shall live: H2421 (QalPerf)

ταδε λεγει κυριος τοις οστεοις τουτοις ιδου εγω φερω εις υμας πνευμα ζωης

Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the wind, prophesy, son of man, and tell the wind, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Come from the four winds, breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” ’ ”

Ezekiel 37:9 Or, breath

και ειπεν προς με προφητευσον υιε ανθρωπου προφητευσον επι το πνευμα και ειπον τω πνευματι ταδε λεγει κυριος εκ των τεσσαρων πνευματων ελθε και εμφυσησον εις τους νεκρους τουτους και ζησατωσαν

Then he said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost. We are completely cut off.’

και ελαλησεν κυριος προς με λεγων υιε ανθρωπου τα οστα ταυτα πας οικος ισραηλ εστιν και αυτοι λεγουσιν ξηρα γεγονεν τα οστα ημων απολωλεν η ελπις ημων διαπεφωνηκαμεν

“When the children of your people speak to you, saying, ‘Won’t you show us what you mean by these?’

And when the children H1121 of thy people H5971 shall speak H559 (QalImpf) unto thee, saying, H559 (QalInf) Wilt thou not shew H5046 (HiphImpf) us what thou meanest by these?

και εσται οταν λεγωσιν προς σε οι υιοι του λαου σου ουκ αναγγελεις ημιν τι εστιν ταυτα σοι

He led me toward the south; and behold, there was a gate toward the south. He measured its posts and its arches according to these measurements.

After that he brought H3212 (HiphImpf) me toward H1870 the south, H1864 and behold a gate H8179 toward H1870 the south: H1864 and he measured H4058 (QalPerf) the posts H352 thereof and the arches H361 thereof according to these measures. H4060

και ηγαγεν με κατα νοτον και ιδου πυλη βλεπουσα προς νοτον και διεμετρησεν αυτην και τα θεε και τα αιλευ και τα αιλαμμω κατα τα μετρα ταυτα

There were windows in it and in its arches all around, like the other windows: the length was fifty cubits, and the width twenty-five cubits.

And there were windows H2474 in it and in the arches H361 thereof round about, H5439 like those windows: H2474 the length H753 was fifty H2572 cubits, H520 and the breadth H7341 five H2568 and twenty H6242 cubits. H520

και αι θυριδες αυτης και τα αιλαμμω κυκλοθεν καθως αι θυριδες του αιλαμ πηχων πεντηκοντα το μηκος αυτης και πηχων εικοσι πεντε το ευρος αυτης

Then he brought me to the inner court by the south gate. He measured the south gate according to these measurements;

And he brought H935 (HiphImpf) me to the inner H6442 court H2691 by the south H1864 gate: H8179 and he measured H4058 (QalImpf) the south H1864 gate H8179 according to these measures; H4060

και εισηγαγεν με εις την αυλην την εσωτεραν της πυλης της προς νοτον και διεμετρησεν την πυλην κατα τα μετρα ταυτα

with its lodges, its posts, and its arches, according to these measurements. There were windows in it and in its arches all around. It was fifty cubits long, and twenty-five cubits wide.

and the little chambers H8372 thereof, and the posts H352 thereof, and the arches H361 thereof, according to these measures: H4060 and there were windows H2474 in it and in the arches H361 thereof round about: H5439 it was fifty H2572 cubits H520 long, H753 and five H2568 and twenty H6242 cubits H520 broad. H7341

και τα θεε και τα αιλευ και τα αιλαμμω κατα τα μετρα ταυτα και θυριδες αυτη και τω αιλαμμω κυκλω πηχεις πεντηκοντα το μηκος αυτης και το ευρος πηχεις εικοσι πεντε

He brought me into the inner court toward the east. He measured the gate according to these measurements;

And he brought H935 (HiphImpf) me into the inner H6442 court H2691 toward H1870 the east: H6921 and he measured H4058 (QalImpf) the gate H8179 according to these measures. H4060
