και οσα εποιησεν τω δαθαν και αβιρων υιοις ελιαβ υιου ρουβην ους ανοιξασα η γη το στομα αυτης κατεπιεν αυτους και τους οικους αυτων και τας σκηνας αυτων και πασαν αυτων την υποστασιν την μετ αυτων εν μεσω παντος ισραηλ

You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

και διδαξετε αυτα τα τεκνα υμων λαλειν αυτα καθημενους εν οικω και πορευομενους εν οδω και κοιταζομενους και διανισταμενους

You shall write them on the door posts of your house and on your gates;

και γραψετε αυτα επι τας φλιας των οικιων υμων και των πυλων υμων

There you shall eat before Yahweh your God, and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, in which Yahweh your God has blessed you.

και φαγεσθε εκει εναντιον κυριου του θεου υμων και ευφρανθησεσθε επι πασιν ου αν την χειρα επιβαλητε υμεις και οι οικοι υμων καθοτι ευλογησεν σε κυριος ο θεος σου

That prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death, because he has spoken rebellion against Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to draw you aside out of the way which Yahweh your God commanded you to walk in. So you shall remove the evil from among you.

^[13:6] και ο προφητης εκεινος η ο το ενυπνιον ενυπνιαζομενος εκεινος αποθανειται ελαλησεν γαρ πλανησαι σε απο κυριου του θεου σου του εξαγαγοντος σε εκ γης αιγυπτου του λυτρωσαμενου σε εκ της δουλειας εξωσαι σε εκ της οδου ης ενετειλατο σοι κυριος ο θεος σου πορευεσθαι εν αυτη και αφανιεις τον πονηρον εξ υμων αυτων

You shall stone him to death with stones, because he has sought to draw you away from Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

You shall trade the money for whatever your soul desires: for cattle, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever your soul asks of you. You shall eat there before Yahweh your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household.

και δωσεις το αργυριον επι παντος ου εαν επιθυμη η ψυχη σου επι βουσι η επι προβατοις επι οινω η επι σικερα η επι παντος ου εαν επιθυμη η ψυχη σου και φαγη εκει εναντιον κυριου του θεου σου και ευφρανθηση συ και ο οικος σου

It shall be, if he tells you, “I will not go out from you,” because he loves you and your house, because he is well with you,

And it shall be, if he say H559 (QalImpf) unto thee, I will not go away H3318 (QalImpf) from thee; because he loveth H157 (QalPerf) thee and thine house, H1004 because he is well H2895 (QalPerf) with thee;

You shall eat it before Yahweh your God year by year in the place which Yahweh shall choose, you and your household.

When Yahweh your God cuts off the nations whose land Yahweh your God gives you, and you succeed them and dwell in their cities and in their houses,

εαν δε αφανιση κυριος ο θεος σου τα εθνη α ο θεος σου διδωσιν σοι την γην αυτων και κατακληρονομησητε αυτους και κατοικησητε εν ταις πολεσιν αυτων και εν τοις οικοις αυτων

The officers shall speak to the people, saying, “What man is there who has built a new house, and has not dedicated it? Let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.

και λαλησουσιν οι γραμματεις προς τον λαον λεγοντες τις ο ανθρωπος ο οικοδομησας οικιαν καινην και ουκ ενεκαινισεν αυτην πορευεσθω και αποστραφητω εις την οικιαν αυτου μη αποθανη εν τω πολεμω και ανθρωπος ετερος εγκαινιει αυτην

What man is there who has planted a vineyard, and has not used its fruit? Let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man use its fruit.

και τις ο ανθρωπος οστις εφυτευσεν αμπελωνα και ουκ ευφρανθη εξ αυτου πορευεσθω και αποστραφητω εις την οικιαν αυτου μη αποθανη εν τω πολεμω και ανθρωπος ετερος ευφρανθησεται εξ αυτου

What man is there who has pledged to be married to a wife, and has not taken her? Let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man take her.”

και προσθησουσιν οι γραμματεις λαλησαι προς τον λαον και ερουσιν τις ο ανθρωπος ο φοβουμενος και δειλος τη καρδια πορευεσθω και αποστραφητω εις την οικιαν αυτου ινα μη δειλιανη την καρδιαν του αδελφου αυτου ωσπερ η αυτου

then you shall bring her home to your house. She shall shave her head and trim her nails.

και εισαξεις αυτην ενδον εις την οικιαν σου και ξυρησεις την κεφαλην αυτης και περιονυχιεις αυτην

She shall take off the clothing of her captivity, and shall remain in your house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month. After that you shall go in to her and be her husband, and she shall be your wife.

και περιελεις τα ιματια της αιχμαλωσιας αυτης απ αυτης και καθιεται εν τη οικια σου και κλαυσεται τον πατερα και την μητερα μηνος ημερας και μετα ταυτα εισελευση προς αυτην και συνοικισθηση αυτη και εσται σου γυνη

If your brother isn’t near to you, or if you don’t know him, then you shall bring it home to your house, and it shall be with you until your brother comes looking for it, and you shall restore it to him.

When you build a new house, then you shall make a railing around your roof, so that you don’t bring blood on your house if anyone falls from there.

εαν δε οικοδομησης οικιαν καινην και ποιησεις στεφανην τω δωματι σου και ου ποιησεις φονον εν τη οικια σου εαν πεση ο πεσων απ αυτου

then they shall bring out the young lady to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has done folly in Israel, to play the prostitute in her father’s house. So you shall remove the evil from among you.

και εξαξουσιν την νεανιν επι τας θυρας οικου πατρος αυτης και λιθοβολησουσιν αυτην οι ανδρες της πολεως αυτης εν λιθοις και αποθανειται οτι εποιησεν αφροσυνην εν υιοις ισραηλ εκπορνευσαι τον οικον του πατρος αυτης και εξαρεις τον πονηρον εξ υμων αυτων

You shall not bring the hire of a prostitute, or the wages of a male prostitute,^§ into the house of Yahweh your God for any vow; for both of these are an abomination to Yahweh your God.

His name shall be called in Israel, “The house of him who had his sandal removed.”

και κληθησεται το ονομα αυτου εν ισραηλ οικος του υπολυθεντος το υποδημα

You shall not have in your house diverse measures, one large and one small.

You shall rejoice in all the good which Yahweh your God has given to you, and to your house, you, and the Levite, and the foreigner who is among you.

You shall say before Yahweh your God, “I have put away the holy things out of my house, and also have given them to the Levite, to the foreigner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all your commandment which you have commanded me. I have not transgressed any of your commandments, neither have I forgotten them.

και ερεις εναντιον κυριου του θεου σου εξεκαθαρα τα αγια εκ της οικιας μου και εδωκα αυτα τω λευιτη και τω προσηλυτω και τω ορφανω και τη χηρα κατα πασας τας εντολας ας ενετειλω μοι ου παρηλθον την εντολην σου και ουκ επελαθομην

You will betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her. You will build a house, and you won’t dwell in it. You will plant a vineyard, and not use its fruit.

γυναικα λημψη και ανηρ ετερος εξει αυτην οικιαν οικοδομησεις και ουκ οικησεις εν αυτη αμπελωνα φυτευσεις και ου τρυγησεις αυτον

Joshua the son of Nun secretly sent two men out of Shittim as spies, saying, “Go, view the land, including Jericho.” They went and came into the house of a prostitute whose name was Rahab, and slept there.

και απεστειλεν ιησους υιος ναυη εκ σαττιν δυο νεανισκους κατασκοπευσαι λεγων αναβητε και ιδετε την γην και την ιεριχω και πορευθεντες εισηλθοσαν οι δυο νεανισκοι εις ιεριχω και εισηλθοσαν εις οικιαν γυναικος πορνης η ονομα ρααβ και κατελυσαν εκει

Jericho’s king sent to Rahab, saying, “Bring out the men who have come to you, who have entered into your house; for they have come to spy out all the land.”

Now therefore, please swear to me by Yahweh, since I have dealt kindly with you, that you also will deal kindly with my father’s house, and give me a true sign;

Then she let them down by a cord through the window; for her house was on the side of the wall, and she lived on the wall.

και κατεχαλασεν αυτους δια της θυριδος

Behold, when we come into the land, tie this line of scarlet thread in the window which you used to let us down. Gather to yourself into the house your father, your mother, your brothers, and all your father’s household.

Behold, [when] we come H935 (QalActPtc) into the land, H776 thou shalt bind H7194 (QalImpf) this line H8615 of scarlet H8144 thread H2339 in the window H2474 which thou didst let us down by: H3381 (HiphPerf) and thou shalt bring H622 (QalImpf) thy father, H1 and thy mother, H517 and thy brethren, H251 and all thy father’s H1 household, H1004 home H1004 unto thee.

ιδου ημεις εισπορευομεθα εις μερος της πολεως και θησεις το σημειον το σπαρτιον το κοκκινον τουτο εκδησεις εις την θυριδα δι ης κατεβιβασας ημας δι αυτης τον δε πατερα σου και την μητερα σου και τους αδελφους σου και παντα τον οικον του πατρος σου συναξεις προς σεαυτην εις την οικιαν σου

It shall be that whoever goes out of the doors of your house into the street, his blood will be on his head, and we will be guiltless. Whoever is with you in the house, his blood shall be on our head, if any hand is on him.

και εσται πας ος αν εξελθη την θυραν της οικιας σου εξω ενοχος εαυτω εσται ημεις δε αθωοι τω ορκω σου τουτω και οσοι εαν γενωνται μετα σου εν τη οικια σου ημεις ενοχοι εσομεθα

The city shall be devoted, even it and all that is in it, to Yahweh. Only Rahab the prostitute shall live, she and all who are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.

και εσται η πολις αναθεμα αυτη και παντα οσα εστιν εν αυτη κυριω σαβαωθ πλην ρααβ την πορνην περιποιησασθε αυτην και οσα εστιν εν τω οικω αυτης

Joshua said to the two men who had spied out the land, “Go into the prostitute’s house, and bring the woman and all that she has out from there, as you swore to her.”

και τοις δυσιν νεανισκοις τοις κατασκοπευσασιν ειπεν ιησους εισελθατε εις την οικιαν της γυναικος και εξαγαγετε αυτην εκειθεν και οσα εστιν αυτη

They burned the city with fire, and all that was in it. Only they put the silver, the gold, and the vessels of bronze and of iron into the treasury of Yahweh’s house.

και η πολις ενεπρησθη εμπυρισμω συν πασιν τοις εν αυτη πλην αργυριου και χρυσιου και χαλκου και σιδηρου εδωκαν εις θησαυρον κυριου εισενεχθηναι

But Rahab the prostitute, her father’s household, and all that she had, Joshua saved alive. She lives in the middle of Israel to this day, because she hid the messengers whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

και ρααβ την πορνην και παντα τον οικον τον πατρικον αυτης εζωγρησεν ιησους και κατωκησεν εν τω ισραηλ εως της σημερον ημερας διοτι εκρυψεν τους κατασκοπευσαντας ους απεστειλεν ιησους κατασκοπευσαι την ιεριχω

In the morning therefore you shall be brought near by your tribes. It shall be that the tribe which Yahweh selects shall come near by families. The family which Yahweh selects shall come near by households. The household which Yahweh selects shall come near man by man.

και συναχθησεσθε παντες το πρωι κατα φυλας και εσται η φυλη ην αν δειξη κυριος προσαξετε κατα δημους και τον δημον ον εαν δειξη κυριος προσαξετε κατ οικον και τον οικον ον εαν δειξη κυριος προσαξετε κατ ανδρα

He brought near his household man by man, and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was selected.

και ενεδειχθη αχαρ υιος ζαμβρι υιου ζαρα

This our bread we took hot for our supplies out of our houses on the day we went out to go to you; but now, behold, it is dry, and has become moldy.

ουτοι οι αρτοι θερμους εφωδιασθημεν αυτους εν τη ημερα η εξηλθομεν παραγενεσθαι προς υμας νυν δε εξηρανθησαν και γεγονασιν βεβρωμενοι

Now therefore you are cursed, and some of you will never fail to be slaves, both wood cutters and drawers of water for the house of my God.”

Now therefore ye [are] cursed, H779 (QalPasPtc) and there shall none of you be freed H3772 (NiphImpf) from being bondmen, H5650 and hewers H2404 (QalActPtc) of wood H6086 and drawers H7579 (QalActPtc) of water H4325 for the house H1004 of my God. H430

και νυν επικαταρατοι εστε ου μη εκλιπη εξ υμων δουλος ουδε ξυλοκοπος εμοι και τω θεω μου

Joshua spoke to the house of Joseph, that is, to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying, “You are a numerous people, and have great power. You shall not have one lot only;

They shall divide it into seven portions. Judah shall live in his borders on the south, and the house of Joseph shall live in their borders on the north.

και διειλεν αυτοις επτα μεριδας ιουδας στησεται αυτοις οριον απο λιβος και οι υιοι ιωσηφ στησονται αυτοις απο βορρα

He shall dwell in that city until he stands before the congregation for judgment, until the death of the high priest that shall be in those days. Then the man slayer shall return, and come to his own city, and to his own house, to the city he fled from.’ ”

Nothing failed of any good thing which Yahweh had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.

ου διεπεσεν απο παντων των ρηματων των καλων ων ελαλησεν κυριος τοις υιοις ισραηλ παντα παρεγενετο

With him were ten princes, one prince of a fathers’ house for each of the tribes of Israel; and they were each head of their fathers’ houses among the thousands of Israel.
