They came to the threshing floor of Atad, which is beyond the Jordan, and there they lamented with a very great and severe lamentation. He mourned for his father seven days.

και παρεγενοντο εφ αλωνα αταδ ο εστιν περαν του ιορδανου και εκοψαντο αυτον κοπετον μεγαν και ισχυρον σφοδρα και εποιησεν το πενθος τω πατρι αυτου επτα ημερας

When the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, saw the mourning in the floor of Atad, they said, “This is a grievous mourning by the Egyptians.” Therefore its name was called Abel Mizraim, which is beyond the Jordan.

And when the inhabitants H3427 (QalActPtc) of the land, H776 the Canaanites, H3669 saw H7200 (QalImpf) the mourning H60 in the floor H1637 of Atad, H329 they said, H559 (QalImpf) This [is] a grievous H3515 mourning H60 to the Egyptians: H4714 wherefore the name of it H8034 was called H7121 (QalPerf) Abelmizraim, H67 which [is] beyond H5676 Jordan. You shall make its lamps seven, and they shall light its lamps to give light to the space in front of it.

You shall make two rings of gold, and you shall put them on the two ends of the breastplate, on its edge, which is toward the side of the ephod inward.

And thou shalt make H6213 (QalPerf) two H8147 rings H2885 of gold, H2091 and thou shalt put H7760 (QalPerf) them upon the two H8147 ends H7098 of the breastplate H2833 in the border H8193 thereof, which [is] in the side H5676 of the ephod H646 inward. H1004

Moses turned, and went down from the mountain, with the two tablets of the covenant in his hand; tablets that were written on both their sides. They were written on one side and on the other.

And Moses H4872 turned, H6437 (QalImpf) and went down H3381 (QalImpf) from the mount, H2022 and the two H8147 tables H3871 of the testimony H5715 [were] in his hand: H3027 the tables H3871 [were] written H3789 (QalPasPtc) on both H8147 their sides; H5676 on the one side and on the other [were] they written. και αποστρεψας μωυσης κατεβη απο του ορους και αι δυο πλακες του μαρτυριου εν ταις χερσιν αυτου πλακες λιθιναι καταγεγραμμεναι εξ αμφοτερων των μερων αυτων ενθεν και ενθεν ησαν γεγραμμεναι

They made two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, on its edge, which was toward the side of the ephod inward.

And they made H6213 (QalImpf) two H8147 rings H2885 of gold, H2091 and put H7760 (QalImpf) [them] on the two H8147 ends H7098 of the breastplate, H2833 upon the border H8193 of it, which [was] on the side H5676 of the ephod H646 inward. H1004

From there they traveled, and encamped on the other side of the Arnon, which is in the wilderness that comes out of the border of the Amorites; for the Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.

και εκειθεν απαραντες παρενεβαλον εις το περαν αρνων εν τη ερημω το εξεχον απο των οριων των αμορραιων εστιν γαρ αρνων ορια μωαβ ανα μεσον μωαβ και ανα μεσον του αμορραιου

The children of Israel traveled, and encamped in the plains of Moab beyond the Jordan at Jericho.

And the children H1121 of Israel H3478 set forward, H5265 (QalImpf) and pitched H2583 (QalImpf) in the plains H6160 of Moab H4124 on this side H5676 Jordan H3383 [by] Jericho. H3405

και απαραντες οι υιοι ισραηλ παρενεβαλον επι δυσμων μωαβ παρα τον ιορδανην κατα ιεριχω

For we will not inherit with them on the other side of the Jordan and beyond, because our inheritance has come to us on this side of the Jordan eastward.”

For we will not inherit H5157 (QalImpf) with them on yonder side H5676 Jordan, H3383 or forward; H1973 because our inheritance H5159 is fallen H935 (QalPerf) to us on this side H5676 Jordan H3383 eastward. H4217

και ουκετι κληρονομησωμεν εν αυτοις απο του περαν του ιορδανου και επεκεινα οτι απεχομεν τους κληρους ημων εν τω περαν του ιορδανου εν ανατολαις

We will pass over armed before Yahweh into the land of Canaan, and the possession of our inheritance shall remain with us beyond the Jordan.”

We will H5168 pass over H5674 (QalImpf) armed H2502 (QalPasPtc) before H6440 the Lord H3068 into the land H776 of Canaan, H3667 that the possession H272 of our inheritance H5159 on this side H5676 Jordan H3383 [may be] ours.

ημεις διαβησομεθα ενωπλισμενοι εναντι κυριου εις γην χανααν και δωσετε την κατασχεσιν ημιν εν τω περαν του ιορδανου

The two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan at Jericho eastward, toward the sunrise.”

The two H8147 tribes H4294 and the half H2677 tribe H4294 have received H3947 (QalPerf) their inheritance H5159 on this side H5676 Jordan H3383 [near] Jericho H3405 eastward, H6924 toward the sunrising. H4217

δυο φυλαι και ημισυ φυλης ελαβον τους κληρους αυτων περαν του ιορδανου κατα ιεριχω απο νοτου κατ ανατολας

You shall give three cities beyond the Jordan, and you shall give three cities in the land of Canaan. They shall be cities of refuge.

Ye shall give H5414 (QalImpf) three H7969 cities H5892 on this side H5676 Jordan, H3383 and three H7969 cities H5892 shall ye give H5414 (QalImpf) in the land H776 of Canaan, H3667 [which] shall be cities H5892 of refuge. H4733

τας τρεις πολεις δωσετε εν τω περαν του ιορδανου και τας τρεις πολεις δωσετε εν γη χανααν

These are the words which Moses spoke to all Israel beyond the Jordan in the wilderness, in the Arabah opposite Suf, between Paran, Tophel, Laban, Hazeroth, and Dizahab.

These [be] the words H1697 which Moses H4872 spake H1696 (PielPerf) unto all Israel H3478 on this side H5676 Jordan H3383 in the wilderness, H4057 in the plain H6160 over against H4136 the Red H5489 [sea], between Paran, H6290 and Tophel, H8603 and Laban, H3837 and Hazeroth, H2698 and Dizahab. ουτοι οι λογοι ους ελαλησεν μωυσης παντι ισραηλ περαν του ιορδανου εν τη ερημω προς δυσμαις πλησιον της ερυθρας ανα μεσον φαραν τοφολ και λοβον και αυλων και καταχρυσεα

Beyond the Jordan, in the land of Moab, Moses began to declare this law, saying,

On this side H5676 Jordan, H3383 in the land H776 of Moab, H4124 began H2974 (HiphPerf) Moses H4872 to declare H874 (PielInf) this law, H8451 saying, H559 (QalInf)

εν τω περαν του ιορδανου εν γη μωαβ ηρξατο μωυσης διασαφησαι τον νομον τουτον λεγων

We took the land at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, from the valley of the Arnon to Mount Hermon.

And we took H3947 at that time H6256 out H3947 (QalImpf) of the hand H3027 of the two H8147 kings H4428 of the Amorites H567 the land H776 that [was] on this side H5676 Jordan, H3383 from the river H5158 of Arnon H769 unto mount H2022 Hermon; H2768

και ελαβομεν εν τω καιρω εκεινω την γην εκ χειρων δυο βασιλεων των αμορραιων οι ησαν περαν του ιορδανου απο του χειμαρρου αρνων και εως αερμων

until Yahweh gives rest to your brothers, as to you, and they also possess the land which Yahweh your God gives them beyond the Jordan. Then you shall each return to his own possession, which I have given you.”

Until the Lord H3068 have given rest H5117 (HiphImpf) unto your brethren, H251 as well as unto you, and [until] they also possess H3423 (QalPerf) the land H776 which the Lord H3068 your God H430 hath given H5414 (QalActPtc) them beyond H5676 Jordan: H3383 and [then] shall ye return H7725 (QalPerf) every man H376 unto his possession, H3425 which I have given H5414 (QalPerf) you.

εως αν καταπαυση κυριος ο θεος υμων τους αδελφους υμων ωσπερ και υμας και κατακληρονομησουσιν και ουτοι την γην ην κυριος ο θεος ημων διδωσιν αυτοις εν τω περαν του ιορδανου και επαναστραφησεσθε εκαστος εις την κληρονομιαν αυτου ην εδωκα υμιν

Please let me go over and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan, that fine mountain, and Lebanon.”

I pray thee, let me go over, H5674 (QalImpf) and see H7200 (QalImpf) the good H2896 land H776 that [is] beyond H5676 Jordan, H3383 that goodly H2896 mountain, H2022 and Lebanon. H3844

διαβας ουν οψομαι την γην την αγαθην ταυτην την ουσαν περαν του ιορδανου το ορος τουτο το αγαθον και τον αντιλιβανον

Then Moses set apart three cities beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise,

Then Moses H4872 severed H914 (HiphImpf) three H7969 cities H5892 on this side H5676 Jordan H3383 toward the sunrising; H8121 H4217

τοτε αφωρισεν μωυσης τρεις πολεις περαν του ιορδανου απο ανατολων ηλιου

beyond the Jordan, in the valley opposite Beth Peor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel struck when they came out of Egypt.

On this side H5676 Jordan, H3383 in the valley H1516 over against H4136 Bethpeor, H1047 in the land H776 of Sihon H5511 king H4428 of the Amorites, H567 who dwelt H3427 (QalActPtc) at Heshbon, H2809 whom Moses H4872 and the children H1121 of Israel H3478 smote, H5221 (HiphPerf) after they were come forth H3318 (QalInf) out of Egypt: H4714

εν τω περαν του ιορδανου εν φαραγγι εγγυς οικου φογωρ εν γη σηων βασιλεως των αμορραιων ος κατωκει εν εσεβων ους επαταξεν μωυσης και οι υιοι ισραηλ εξελθοντων αυτων εκ γης αιγυπτου

They took possession of his land and the land of Og king of Bashan, the two kings of the Amorites, who were beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise;

And they possessed H3423 (QalImpf) his land, H776 and the land H776 of Og H5747 king H4428 of Bashan, H1316 two H8147 kings H4428 of the Amorites, H567 which [were] on this side H5676 Jordan H3383 toward the sunrising; H4217 H8121

και εκληρονομησαν την γην αυτου και την γην ωγ βασιλεως της βασαν δυο βασιλεων των αμορραιων οι ησαν περαν του ιορδανου κατ ανατολας ηλιου

and all the Arabah beyond the Jordan eastward, even to the sea of the Arabah, under the slopes of Pisgah.

And all the plain H6160 on this side H5676 Jordan H3383 eastward, H4217 even unto the sea H3220 of the plain, H6160 under the springs H794 of Pisgah. H6449

πασαν την αραβα περαν του ιορδανου κατ ανατολας ηλιου υπο ασηδωθ την λαξευτην

Aren’t they beyond the Jordan, behind the way of the going down of the sun, in the land of the Canaanites who dwell in the Arabah near Gilgal, beside the oaks of Moreh?

[Are] they not on the other side H5676 Jordan, H3383 by H310 the way H1870 where the sun H8121 goeth down, H3996 in the land H776 of the Canaanites, H3669 which dwell H3427 (QalActPtc) in the champaign H6160 over against H4136 Gilgal, H1537 beside H681 the plains H436 of Moreh? H4176

ουκ ιδου ταυτα περαν του ιορδανου οπισω οδον δυσμων ηλιου εν γη χανααν το κατοικουν επι δυσμων εχομενον του γολγολ πλησιον της δρυος της υψηλης

Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, “Who will go over the sea for us, bring it to us, and proclaim it to us, that we may do it?”

Neither [is] it beyond H5676 the sea, H3220 that thou shouldest say, H559 (QalInf) Who shall go H5674 (QalImpf) over H5676 the sea H3220 for us, and bring H3947 (QalImpf) it unto us, that we may hear H8085 (HiphImpf) it, and do H6213 (QalImpf) it?

ουδε περαν της θαλασσης εστιν λεγων τις διαπερασει ημιν εις το περαν της θαλασσης και λημψεται ημιν αυτην και ακουστην ημιν ποιησει αυτην και ποιησομεν

Your wives, your little ones, and your livestock shall live in the land which Moses gave you beyond the Jordan; but you shall pass over before your brothers armed, all the mighty men of valor, and shall help them

Your wives, H802 your little ones, H2945 and your cattle, H4735 shall remain H3427 (QalImpf) in the land H776 which Moses H4872 gave H5414 (QalPerf) you on this side H5676 Jordan; H3383 but ye shall pass H5674 (QalImpf) before H6440 your brethren H251 armed, H2571 all the mighty H1368 men of valour, H2428 and help H5826 (QalPerf) them;

αι γυναικες υμων και τα παιδια υμων και τα κτηνη υμων κατοικειτωσαν εν τη γη η εδωκεν υμιν υμεις δε διαβησεσθε ευζωνοι προτεροι των αδελφων υμων πας ο ισχυων και συμμαχησετε αυτοις

until Yahweh has given your brothers rest, as he has given you, and they have also possessed the land which Yahweh your God gives them. Then you shall return to the land of your possession and possess it, which Moses the servant of Yahweh gave you beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise.’ ”

Until the Lord H3068 have given H5117 your brethren H251 rest, H5117 (HiphImpf) as [he hath given] you, and they also have possessed H3423 (QalPerf) the land H776 which the Lord H3068 your God H430 giveth H5414 (QalActPtc) them: then ye shall return H7725 (QalPerf) unto the land H776 of your possession, H3425 and enjoy H3423 (QalPerf) it, which Moses H4872 the Lord’s H3068 servant H5650 gave H5414 (QalPerf) you on this side H5676 Jordan H3383 toward the sunrising. H4217 H8121

εως αν καταπαυση κυριος ο θεος υμων τους αδελφους υμων ωσπερ και υμας και κληρονομησωσιν και ουτοι την γην ην κυριος ο θεος ημων διδωσιν αυτοις και απελευσεσθε εκαστος εις την κληρονομιαν αυτου ην δεδωκεν υμιν μωυσης εις το περαν του ιορδανου απ ανατολων ηλιου

For we have heard how Yahweh dried up the water of the Red Sea before you, when you came out of Egypt; and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites, who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon and to Og, whom you utterly destroyed.

For we have heard H8085 (QalPerf) how the Lord H3068 dried up H3001 (HiphPerf) the water H4325 of the Red H5488 sea H3220 for you, H6440 when ye came out H3318 (QalInf) of Egypt; H4714 and what ye did H6213 (QalPerf) unto the two H8147 kings H4428 of the Amorites, H567 that [were] on the other side H5676 Jordan, H3383 Sihon H5511 and Og, H5747 whom ye utterly destroyed. ακηκοαμεν γαρ οτι κατεξηρανεν κυριος ο θεος την ερυθραν θαλασσαν απο προσωπου υμων οτε εξεπορευεσθε εκ γης αιγυπτου και οσα εποιησεν τοις δυσι βασιλευσιν των αμορραιων οι ησαν περαν του ιορδανου τω σηων και ωγ ους εξωλεθρευσατε αυτους

When all the kings of the Amorites, who were beyond the Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, who were by the sea, heard how Yahweh had dried up the waters of the Jordan from before the children of Israel until we had crossed over, their heart melted, and there was no more spirit in them, because of the children of Israel.

And it came to pass, when all the kings H4428 of the Amorites, H567 which [were] on the side H5676 of Jordan H3383 westward, H3220 and all the kings H4428 of the Canaanites, H3669 which [were] by the sea, H3220 heard H8085 (QalInf) that the Lord H3068 had dried up H3001 (HiphPerf) the waters H4325 of Jordan H3383 from before H6440 the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 until we were passed over, H5674 (QalInf) that their heart H3824 melted, H4549 (NiphImpf) neither was there spirit H7307 in them any more, because H6440 of the children H1121 of Israel. H3478

και εγενετο ως ηκουσαν οι βασιλεις των αμορραιων οι ησαν περαν του ιορδανου και οι βασιλεις της φοινικης οι παρα την θαλασσαν οτι απεξηρανεν κυριος ο θεος τον ιορδανην ποταμον εκ των εμπροσθεν των υιων ισραηλ εν τω διαβαινειν αυτους και ετακησαν αυτων αι διανοιαι και κατεπλαγησαν και ουκ ην εν αυτοις φρονησις ουδεμια απο προσωπου των υιων ισραηλ

Joshua said, “Alas, Lord Yahweh, why have you brought this people over the Jordan at all, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to cause us to perish? I wish that we had been content and lived beyond the Jordan!

And Joshua H3091 said, H559 (QalImpf) Alas, O H162 Lord H136 God, H3069 wherefore hast thou at all H5674 (HiphInf) brought H5674 this people H5971 over H5674 (HiphPerf) Jordan, H3383 to deliver H5414 (QalInf) us into the hand H3027 of the Amorites, H567 to destroy H6 (HiphInf) us? would to God H3863 we had been content, H2974 (HiphPerf) and dwelt H3427 (QalImpf) on the other side H5676 Jordan! H3383

και ειπεν ιησους δεομαι κυριε ινα τι διεβιβασεν ο παις σου τον λαον τουτον τον ιορδανην παραδουναι αυτον τω αμορραιω απολεσαι ημας και ει κατεμειναμεν και κατωκισθημεν παρα τον ιορδανην

When all the kings who were beyond the Jordan, in the hill country, and in the lowland, and on all the shore of the great sea in front of Lebanon, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard of it

And it came to pass, when all the kings H4428 which [were] on this side H5676 Jordan, H3383 in the hills, H2022 and in the valleys, H8219 and in all the coasts H2348 of the great H1419 sea H3220 over against H4136 Lebanon, H3844 the Hittite, H2850 and the Amorite, H567 the Canaanite, H3669 the Perizzite, H6522 the Hivite, H2340 and the Jebusite, H2983 heard H8085 (QalInf) [thereof];

ως δ ηκουσαν οι βασιλεις των αμορραιων οι εν τω περαν του ιορδανου οι εν τη ορεινη και οι εν τη πεδινη και οι εν παση τη παραλια της θαλασσης της μεγαλης και οι προς τω αντιλιβανω και οι χετταιοι και οι χαναναιοι και οι φερεζαιοι και οι ευαιοι και οι αμορραιοι και οι γεργεσαιοι και οι ιεβουσαιοι

and all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon and to Og king of Bashan, who was at Ashtaroth.

And all that he did H6213 (QalPerf) to the two H8147 kings H4428 of the Amorites, H567 that [were] beyond H5676 Jordan, H3383 to Sihon H5511 king H4428 of Heshbon, H2809 and to Og H5747 king H4428 of Bashan, H1316 which [was] at Ashtaroth. H6252

και οσα εποιησεν τοις βασιλευσιν των αμορραιων οι ησαν περαν του ιορδανου τω σηων βασιλει εσεβων και τω ωγ βασιλει της βασαν ος κατωκει εν ασταρωθ και εν εδραιν

Now these are the kings of the land, whom the children of Israel struck, and possessed their land beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise, from the valley of the Arnon to Mount Hermon, and all the Arabah eastward:

Now these [are] the kings H4428 of the land, H776 which the children H1121 of Israel H3478 smote, H5221 (HiphPerf) and possessed H3423 (QalImpf) their land H776 on the other side H5676 Jordan H3383 toward the rising H4217 of the sun, H8121 from the river H5158 Arnon H769 unto mount H2022 Hermon, H2768 and all the plain H6160 on the east: H4217

και ουτοι οι βασιλεις της γης ους ανειλον οι υιοι ισραηλ και κατεκληρονομησαν την γην αυτων περαν του ιορδανου αφ ηλιου ανατολων απο φαραγγος αρνων εως του ορους αερμων και πασαν την γην αραβα απ ανατολων

These are the kings of the land whom Joshua and the children of Israel struck beyond the Jordan westward, from Baal Gad in the valley of Lebanon even to Mount Halak, that goes up to Seir. Joshua gave it to the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;

And these [are] the kings H4428 of the country H776 which Joshua H3091 and the children H1121 of Israel H3478 smote H5221 (HiphPerf) on this side H5676 Jordan H3383 on the west, H3220 from Baalgad H1171 in the valley H1237 of Lebanon H3844 even unto the mount H2022 Halak, H2510 that goeth up H5927 (QalActPtc) to Seir; H8165 which Joshua H3091 gave H5414 (QalImpf) unto the tribes H7626 of Israel H3478 [for] a possession H3425 according to their divisions; H4256

και ουτοι οι βασιλεις των αμορραιων ους ανειλεν ιησους και οι υιοι ισραηλ εν τω περαν του ιορδανου παρα θαλασσαν βααλγαδ εν τω πεδιω του λιβανου και εως του ορους χελχα αναβαινοντων εις σηιρ και εδωκεν αυτην ιησους ταις φυλαις ισραηλ κληρονομειν κατα κληρον αυτων

With him the Reubenites and the Gadites received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond the Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of Yahweh gave them:

With whom the Reubenites H7206 and the Gadites H1425 have received H3947 (QalPerf) their inheritance, H5159 which Moses H4872 gave H5414 (QalPerf) them, beyond H5676 Jordan H3383 eastward, H4217 [even] as Moses H4872 the servant H5650 of the Lord H3068 gave H5414 (QalPerf) them;

ταις δε δυο φυλαις και τω ημισει φυλης μανασση τω ρουβην και τω γαδ εδωκεν μωυσης εν τω περαν του ιορδανου κατ ανατολας ηλιου δεδωκεν αυτην μωυσης ο παις κυριου

and in the valley, Beth Haram, Beth Nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, the Jordan’s bank, to the uttermost part of the sea of Chinnereth beyond the Jordan eastward.

And in the valley, H6010 Betharam, H1027 and Bethnimrah, H1039 and Succoth, H5523 and Zaphon, H6829 the rest H3499 of the kingdom H4468 of Sihon H5511 king H4428 of Heshbon, H2809 Jordan H3383 and [his] border, H1366 [even] unto the edge H7097 of the sea H3220 of Chinnereth H3672 on the other side H5676 Jordan H3383 eastward. H4217

και εν εμεκ βαιθαραμ και βαιθαναβρα και σοκχωθα και σαφαν και την λοιπην βασιλειαν σηων βασιλεως εσεβων και ο ιορδανης οριει εως μερους της θαλασσης χενερεθ περαν του ιορδανου απ ανατολων

These are the inheritances which Moses distributed in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan at Jericho, eastward.

These [are the countries] which Moses H4872 did distribute for inheritance H5157 (PielPerf) in the plains H6160 of Moab, H4124 on the other side H5676 Jordan, H3383 by Jericho, H3405 eastward. H4217

ουτοι ους κατεκληρονομησεν μωυσης περαν του ιορδανου εν αραβωθ μωαβ εν τω περαν του ιορδανου κατα ιεριχω απο ανατολων

For Moses had given the inheritance of the two tribes and the half-tribe beyond the Jordan; but to the Levites he gave no inheritance among them.

For Moses H4872 had given H5414 (QalPerf) the inheritance H5159 of two H8147 tribes H4294 and an half H2677 tribe H4294 on the other side H5676 Jordan: H3383 but unto the Levites H3881 he gave H5414 (QalPerf) none inheritance H5159 among H8432 them.

απο του περαν του ιορδανου και τοις λευιταις ουκ εδωκεν κληρον εν αυτοις

Ten parts fell to Manasseh, in addition to the land of Gilead and Bashan, which is beyond the Jordan;

And there fell H5307 (QalImpf) ten H6235 portions H2256 to Manasseh, H4519 beside the land H776 of Gilead H1568 and Bashan, H1316 which [were] on the other side H5676 Jordan; H3383

και επεσεν ο σχοινισμος αυτων απο ανασσα και πεδιον λαβεκ εκ της γαλααδ η εστιν περαν του ιορδανου

However, the Levites have no portion among you; for the priesthood of Yahweh is their inheritance. Gad, Reuben, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance east of the Jordan, which Moses the servant of Yahweh gave them.”

But the Levites H3881 have no part H2506 among H7130 you; for the priesthood H3550 of the Lord H3068 [is] their inheritance: H5159 and Gad, H1410 and Reuben, H7205 and half H2677 the tribe H7626 of Manasseh, H4519 have received H3947 (QalPerf) their inheritance H5159 beyond H5676 Jordan H3383 on the east, H4217 which Moses H4872 the servant H5650 of the Lord H3068 gave H5414 (QalPerf) them.

Beyond the Jordan at Jericho eastward, they assigned Bezer in the wilderness in the plain out of the tribe of Reuben, Ramoth in Gilead out of the tribe of Gad, and Golan in Bashan out of the tribe of Manasseh.

And on the other side H5676 Jordan H3383 by Jericho H3405 eastward, H4217 they assigned H5414 (QalPerf) Bezer H1221 in the wilderness H4057 upon the plain H4334 out of the tribe H4294 of Reuben, H7205 and Ramoth H7216 in Gilead H1568 out of the tribe H4294 of Gad, H1410 and Golan H1474 in Bashan H1316 out of the tribe H4294 of Manasseh. και εν τω περαν του ιορδανου εδωκεν βοσορ εν τη ερημω εν τω πεδιω απο της φυλης ρουβην και αρημωθ εν τη γαλααδ εκ της φυλης γαδ και την γαυλων εν τη βασανιτιδι εκ της φυλης μανασση

Now Yahweh your God has given rest to your brothers, as he spoke to them. Therefore now return and go to your tents, to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of Yahweh gave you beyond the Jordan.

νυν δε κατεπαυσεν κυριος ο θεος ημων τους αδελφους ημων ον τροπον ειπεν αυτοις νυν ουν αποστραφεντες απελθατε εις τους οικους υμων και εις την γην της κατασχεσεως υμων ην εδωκεν υμιν μωυσης εν τω περαν του ιορδανου

Now to the one half-tribe of Manasseh Moses had given inheritance in Bashan; but Joshua gave to the other half among their brothers beyond the Jordan westward. Moreover when Joshua sent them away to their tents, he blessed them,

Now to the [one] half H2677 of the tribe H7626 of Manasseh H4519 Moses H4872 had given H5414 (QalPerf) [possession] in Bashan: H1316 but unto the [other] half H2677 thereof gave H5414 (QalPerf) Joshua H3091 among H5973 their brethren H251 on this side H5676 Jordan H3383 westward. και τω ημισει φυλης μανασση εδωκεν μωυσης εν τη βασανιτιδι και τω ημισει εδωκεν ιησους μετα των αδελφων αυτου εν τω περαν του ιορδανου παρα θαλασσαν και ηνικα εξαπεστειλεν αυτους ιησους εις τους οικους αυτων και ευλογησεν αυτους

The children of Israel heard this, “Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh have built an altar along the border of the land of Canaan, in the region around the Jordan, on the side that belongs to the children of Israel.”

Joshua said to all the people, “Yahweh, the God of Israel, says, ‘Your fathers lived of old time beyond the River, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nahor. They served other gods.

I took your father Abraham from beyond the River, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his offspring,^§ and gave him Isaac.

“ ‘I brought you into the land of the Amorites, that lived beyond the Jordan. They fought with you, and I gave them into your hand. You possessed their land, and I destroyed them from before you.

και ηγαγεν υμας εις γην αμορραιων των κατοικουντων περαν του ιορδανου και παρεταξαντο υμιν και παρεδωκεν αυτους κυριος εις τας χειρας υμων και κατεκληρονομησατε την γην αυτων και εξωλεθρευσατε αυτους απο προσωπου υμων

“Now therefore fear Yahweh, and serve him in sincerity and in truth. Put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River, in Egypt; and serve Yahweh.

και νυν φοβηθητε κυριον και λατρευσατε αυτω εν ευθυτητι και εν δικαιοσυνη και περιελεσθε τους θεους τους αλλοτριους οις ελατρευσαν οι πατερες υμων εν τω περαν του ποταμου και εν αιγυπτω και λατρευετε κυριω

If it seems evil to you to serve Yahweh, choose today whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh.”

ει δε μη αρεσκει υμιν λατρευειν κυριω ελεσθε υμιν εαυτοις σημερον τινι λατρευσητε ειτε τοις θεοις των πατερων υμων τοις εν τω περαν του ποταμου ειτε τοις θεοις των αμορραιων εν οις υμεις κατοικειτε επι της γης αυτων εγω δε και η οικια μου λατρευσομεν κυριω οτι αγιος εστιν

Gilead lived beyond the Jordan. Why did Dan remain in ships? Asher sat still at the haven of the sea, and lived by his creeks.

γαλααδ εν τω περαν του ιορδανου κατεσκηνωσεν και δαν ινα τι παροικει πλοιοις ασηρ παρωκησεν παρ αιγιαλον θαλασσων και επι τας διακοπας αυτου κατεσκηνωσεν

They took the two princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb. They killed Oreb at Oreb’s rock, and Zeeb they killed at Zeeb’s wine press, as they pursued Midian. Then they brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon beyond the Jordan.

και συνελαβον τους δυο αρχοντας μαδιαμ τον ωρηβ και τον ζηβ και απεκτειναν τον ωρηβ εν σουριν και τον ζηβ απεκτειναν εν ιακεφζηβ και κατεδιωξαν μαδιαμ και την κεφαλην ωρηβ και ζηβ ηνεγκαν προς γεδεων εκ του περαν του ιορδανου

They troubled and oppressed the children of Israel that year. For eighteen years they oppressed all the children of Israel that were beyond the Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.
