Exodus 23:1 Or, receive

Pay attention to him, and listen to his voice. Don’t provoke him, for he will not pardon your disobedience, for my name is in him.

You shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry the ark.

You shall put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be on Aaron’s heart, when he goes in before Yahweh. Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel on his heart before Yahweh continually.

It shall be on Aaron’s forehead, and Aaron shall bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall make holy in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always on his forehead, that they may be accepted before Yahweh.

“‘If anyone sins, in that he hears a public adjuration to testify, he being a witness, whether he has seen or known, if he doesn’t report it, then he shall bear his iniquity.

“If anyone sins, doing any of the things which Yahweh has commanded not to be done, though he didn’t know it, he is still guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.

And if a soul H5315 sin, H2398 (QalImpf) and commit H6213 (QalPerf) any H259 of these things which are forbidden to be done H6213 (NiphImpf) by the commandments H4687 of the Lord; H3068 though he wist H3045 (QalPerf) it not, yet is he guilty, H816 (QalPerf) and shall bear H5375 (QalPerf) his iniquity. If any of the meat of the sacrifice of his peace offerings is eaten on the third day, it will not be accepted, and it shall not be credited to him who offers it. It will be an abomination, and the soul who eats any of it will bear his iniquity.

Whoever carries any part of their carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.

Whoever touches anything that was under him shall be unclean until the evening. He who carries those things shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening.

And whosoever toucheth H5060 (QalActPtc) any thing that was under him shall be unclean H2930 (QalImpf) until the even: H6153 and he that beareth H5375 (QalActPtc) any of those things shall wash H3526 (PielImpf) his clothes, H899 and bathe H7364 (QalPerf) himself in water, H4325 and be unclean H2930 (QalPerf) until the even. The goat shall carry all their iniquities on himself to a solitary land, and he shall release the goat in the wilderness.

Leviticus 19:17 Or, that thou bear not sin for him

Leviticus 20:19 Heb. hath made naked

και ασχημοσυνην αδελφης πατρος σου και αδελφης μητρος σου ουκ αποκαλυψεις την γαρ οικειοτητα απεκαλυψεν αμαρτιαν αποισονται

If a man lies with his uncle’s wife, he has uncovered his uncle’s nakedness. They shall bear their sin. They shall die childless.
