ιδου εγω διδωμι ενωπιον υμων σημερον ευλογιαν και καταραν

the blessing, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God, which I command you today;

την ευλογιαν εαν ακουσητε τας εντολας κυριου του θεου υμων ας εγω εντελλομαι υμιν σημερον

and the curse, if you do not listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God, but turn away out of the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known.

and a curse, H7045 if ye will not obey H8085 (QalImpf) the commandments H4687 of the Lord H3068 your God, H430 but turn aside H5493 (QalPerf) out of the way H1870 which I command H6680 (PielPtc) you this day, H3117 to go H3212 (QalInf) after H310 other H312 gods, H430 which ye have not known. H3045 (QalPerf)

και τας καταρας εαν μη ακουσητε τας εντολας κυριου του θεου υμων οσας εγω εντελλομαι υμιν σημερον και πλανηθητε απο της οδου ης ενετειλαμην υμιν πορευθεντες λατρευειν θεοις ετεροις ους ουκ οιδατε

You shall observe to do all the statutes and the ordinances which I set before you today.

And ye shall observe H8104 (QalPerf) to do H6213 (QalInf) all the statutes H2706 and judgments H4941 which I set H5414 (QalActPtc) before H6440 you this day. H3117

και φυλαξεσθε του ποιειν παντα τα προσταγματα αυτου και τας κρισεις ταυτας οσας εγω διδωμι ενωπιον υμων σημερον

then it shall happen that to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the wave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to Yahweh.

και εσται ο τοπος ον αν εκλεξηται κυριος ο θεος υμων επικληθηναι το ονομα αυτου εκει εκει οισετε παντα οσα εγω εντελλομαι υμιν σημερον τα ολοκαυτωματα υμων και τα θυσιασματα υμων και τα επιδεκατα υμων και τας απαρχας των χειρων υμων και τα δοματα υμων και παν εκλεκτον των δωρων υμων οσα εαν ευξησθε τω θεω υμων

but in the place which Yahweh chooses in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you.

αλλ η εις τον τοπον ον αν εκλεξηται κυριος ο θεος σου αυτον εν μια των φυλων σου εκει ανοισεις τα ολοκαυτωματα σου και εκει ποιησεις παντα οσα εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον

Observe and hear all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you and with your children after you forever, when you do that which is good and right in Yahweh your God’s eyes.

φυλασσου και ακουε και ποιησεις παντας τους λογους ους εγω εντελλομαι σοι ινα ευ σοι γενηται και τοις υιοις σου δι αιωνος εαν ποιησης το καλον και το αρεστον εναντιον κυριου του θεου σου

Whatever thing I command you, that you shall observe to do. You shall not add to it, nor take away from it.

if only you diligently listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, to observe to do all this commandment which I command you today.

εαν δε ακοη εισακουσητε της φωνης κυριου του θεου υμων φυλασσειν και ποιειν πασας τας εντολας ταυτας οσας εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον

For the poor will never cease out of the land. Therefore I command you to surely open your hand to your brother, to your needy, and to your poor, in your land.

It shall happen, that whoever will not listen to my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever H376 will not hearken H8085 (QalImpf) unto my words H1697 which he shall speak H1696 (PielImpf) in my name, H8034 I will require H1875 (QalImpf) it of him.

και ο ανθρωπος ος εαν μη ακουση οσα εαν λαληση ο προφητης επι τω ονοματι μου εγω εκδικησω εξ αυτου

Therefore I command you to set apart three cities for yourselves.

Wherefore I command H6680 (PielPtc) thee, saying, H559 (QalInf) Thou shalt separate H914 (HiphImpf) three H7969 cities H5892 for thee.

δια τουτο εγω σοι εντελλομαι το ρημα τουτο λεγων τρεις πολεις διαστελεις σεαυτω

and if you keep all this commandment to do it, which I command you today, to love Yahweh your God, and to walk ever in his ways, then you shall add three cities more for yourselves, in addition to these three.

Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, “Keep all the commandment which I command you today.

It shall be, when you have crossed over the Jordan, that you shall set up these stones, which I command you today, on Mount Ebal, and you shall coat them with plaster.

You shall therefore obey Yahweh your God’s voice, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command you today.”

και εισακουση της φωνης κυριου του θεου σου και ποιησεις πασας τας εντολας αυτου και τα δικαιωματα αυτου οσα εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον

It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to Yahweh your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you today, that Yahweh your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken H8085 (QalImpf) diligently H8085 (QalInf) unto the voice H6963 of the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 to observe H8104 (QalInf) and to do H6213 (QalInf) all his commandments H4687 which I command H6680 (PielPtc) thee this day, H3117 that the Lord H3068 thy God H430 will set H5414 (QalPerf) thee on high H5945 above all nations H1471 of the earth: H776

και εσται ως αν διαβητε τον ιορδανην εις την γην ην κυριος ο θεος υμων διδωσιν υμιν εαν ακοη εισακουσητε της φωνης κυριου του θεου υμων φυλασσειν και ποιειν πασας τας εντολας αυτου ας εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον και δωσει σε κυριος ο θεος σου υπερανω παντων των εθνων της γης

Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail. You will be above only, and you will not be beneath, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God which I command you today, to observe and to do,

And the Lord H3068 shall make H5414 (QalPerf) thee the head, H7218 and not the tail; H2180 and thou shalt be above only, H4605 and thou shalt not be beneath; H4295 if that thou hearken H8085 (QalImpf) unto the commandments H4687 of the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 which I command H6680 (PielPtc) thee this day, H3117 to observe H8104 (QalInf) and to do H6213 (QalInf) them:

καταστησαι σε κυριος ο θεος σου εις κεφαλην και μη εις ουραν και εση τοτε επανω και ουκ εση υποκατω εαν ακουσης των εντολων κυριου του θεου σου οσα εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον φυλασσειν και ποιειν

and shall not turn away from any of the words which I command you today, to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

and thou shalt not go aside H5493 (QalImpf) from any of the words H1697 which I command H6680 (PielPtc) thee this day, H3117 to the right hand, H3225 or to the left, H8040 to go H3212 (QalInf) after H310 other H312 gods H430 to serve H5647 (QalInf) them.

ου παραβηση απο παντων των λογων ων εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον δεξια ουδε αριστερα πορευεσθαι οπισω θεων ετερων λατρευειν αυτοις

But it shall come to pass, if you will not listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come on you and overtake you.

But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken H8085 (QalImpf) unto the voice H6963 of the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 to observe H8104 (QalInf) to do H6213 (QalInf) all his commandments H4687 and his statutes H2708 which I command H6680 (PielPtc) thee this day; H3117 that all these curses H7045 shall come H935 (QalPerf) upon thee, and overtake H5381 (HiphPerf) thee:

και εσται εαν μη εισακουσης της φωνης κυριου του θεου σου φυλασσειν και ποιειν πασας τας εντολας αυτου οσας εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον και ελευσονται επι σε πασαι αι καταραι αυται και καταλημψονται σε

Neither do I make this covenant and this oath with you only,

and return to Yahweh your God and obey his voice according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul,

και επιστραφηση επι κυριον τον θεον σου και υπακουση της φωνης αυτου κατα παντα οσα εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον εξ ολης της καρδιας σου και εξ ολης της ψυχης σου

You shall return and obey Yahweh’s voice, and do all his commandments which I command you today.

And thou shalt return H7725 (QalImpf) and obey H8085 (QalPerf) the voice H6963 of the Lord, H3068 and do H6213 (QalPerf) all his commandments H4687 which I command H6680 (PielPtc) thee this day. H3117

και συ επιστραφηση και εισακουση της φωνης κυριου του θεου σου και ποιησεις τας εντολας αυτου οσας εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον

For this commandment which I command you today is not too hard for you or too distant.

For this commandment H4687 which I command H6680 (PielPtc) thee this day, H3117 it is not hidden H6381 (NiphPtc) from thee, neither is it far off. H7350

οτι η εντολη αυτη ην εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον ουχ υπερογκος εστιν ουδε μακραν απο σου

For I command you today to love Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances, that you may live and multiply, and that Yahweh your God may bless you in the land where you go in to possess it.

in that I command H6680 (PielPtc) thee this day H3117 to love H157 (QalInf) the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 to walk H3212 (QalInf) in his ways, H1870 and to keep H8104 (QalInf) his commandments H4687 and his statutes H2708 and his judgments, H4941 that thou mayest live H2421 (QalPerf) and multiply: H7235 (QalPerf) and the Lord H3068 thy God H430 shall bless H1288 (PielPerf) thee in the land H776 whither thou goest H935 (QalActPtc) to possess H3423 (QalInf) it.

εαν εισακουσης τας εντολας κυριου του θεου σου ας εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον αγαπαν κυριον τον θεον σου πορευεσθαι εν πασαις ταις οδοις αυτου φυλασσεσθαι τα δικαιωματα αυτου και τας κρισεις αυτου και ζησεσθε και πολλοι εσεσθε και ευλογησει σε κυριος ο θεος σου εν παση τη γη εις ην εισπορευη εκει κληρονομησαι αυτην

He said to them, “I am one hundred twenty years old today. I can no more go out and come in. Yahweh has said to me, ‘You shall not go over this Jordan.’

και ειπεν προς αυτους εκατον και εικοσι ετων εγω ειμι σημερον ου δυνησομαι ετι εισπορευεσθαι και εκπορευεσθαι κυριος δε ειπεν προς με ου διαβηση τον ιορδανην τουτον

I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evil which they have done, in that they have turned to other gods.

And I will surely H5641 (HiphInf) hide H5641 (HiphImpf) my face H6440 in that day H3117 for all the evils H7451 which they shall have wrought, H6213 (QalPerf) in that H3588 they are turned H6437 (QalPerf) unto other H312 gods. H430

εγω δε αποστροφη αποστρεψω το προσωπον μου απ αυτων εν τη ημερα εκεινη δια πασας τας κακιας ας εποιησαν οτι επεστρεψαν επι θεους αλλοτριους

He commissioned Joshua the son of Nun, and said, “Be strong and courageous; for you shall bring the children of Israel into the land which I swore to them. I will be with you.”

και ενετειλατο μωυσης ιησοι και ειπεν αυτω ανδριζου και ισχυε συ γαρ εισαξεις τους υιους ισραηλ εις την γην ην ωμοσεν κυριος αυτοις και αυτος εσται μετα σου

For I know your rebellion and your stiff neck. Behold, while I am yet alive with you today, you have been rebellious against Yahweh. How much more after my death?

For I know H3045 (QalPerf) thy rebellion, H4805 and thy stiff H7186 neck: H6203 behold, while I am yet alive H2416 with you this day, H3117 ye have been rebellious H4784 (HiphPtc) against the Lord; H3068 and how much more after H310 my death? H4194

οτι εγω επισταμαι τον ερεθισμον σου και τον τραχηλον σου τον σκληρον ετι γαρ εμου ζωντος μεθ υμων σημερον παραπικραινοντες ητε τα προς τον θεον πως ουχι και εσχατον του θανατου μου

For I lift up my hand to heaven and declare, as I live forever,

οτι αρω εις τον ουρανον την χειρα μου και ομουμαι τη δεξια μου και ερω ζω εγω εις τον αιωνα

He said to them, “Set your heart to all the words which I testify to you today, which you shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.

και ειπεν προς αυτους προσεχετε τη καρδια επι παντας τους λογους τουτους ους εγω διαμαρτυρομαι υμιν σημερον α εντελεισθε τοις υιοις υμων φυλασσειν και ποιειν παντας τους λογους του νομου τουτου

“Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go across this Jordan, you and all these people, to the land which I am giving to them, even to the children of Israel.

μωυσης ο θεραπων μου τετελευτηκεν νυν ουν αναστας διαβηθι τον ιορδανην συ και πας ο λαος ουτος εις την γην ην εγω διδωμι αυτοις

Achan answered Joshua, and said, “I have truly sinned against Yahweh, the God of Israel, and this is what I have done.

και απεκριθη αχαρ τω ιησοι και ειπεν αληθως ημαρτον εναντιον κυριου θεου ισραηλ ουτως και ουτως εποιησα

Yahweh said to Joshua, “Don’t be afraid because of them; for tomorrow at this time, I will deliver them up all slain before Israel. You shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.”

και ειπεν κυριος προς ιησουν μη φοβηθης απο προσωπου αυτων οτι αυριον ταυτην την ωραν εγω παραδιδωμι τετροπωμενους αυτους εναντιον του ισραηλ τους ιππους αυτων νευροκοπησεις και τα αρματα αυτων κατακαυσεις εν πυρι

all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim, even all the Sidonians. I will drive them out from before the children of Israel. Just allocate it to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded you.

I was forty years old when Moses the servant of Yahweh sent me from Kadesh Barnea to spy out the land. I brought him word again as it was in my heart.

“Now, behold, Yahweh has kept me alive, as he spoke, these forty-five years, from the time that Yahweh spoke this word to Moses, while Israel walked in the wilderness. Now, behold, I am eighty-five years old, today.
