Through all that time, when one came to a heap of twenty measures, there were only ten. When one came to the wine vat to draw out fifty, there were only twenty.

Those who are far off shall come and build in Yahweh’s temple; and you shall know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you. This will happen, if you will diligently obey Yahweh your God’s voice.” ’ ”^§

Zechariah 6:15 The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “אֱלֹהִ֑ים” (Elohim).

και οι μακραν απ αυτων ηξουσιν και οικοδομησουσιν εν τω οικω κυριου και γνωσεσθε διοτι κυριος παντοκρατωρ απεσταλκεν με προς υμας και εσται εαν εισακουοντες εισακουσητε της φωνης κυριου του θεου υμων

I will bring them, and they will dwell within Jerusalem. They will be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.”

For before those days there was no wages for man nor any wages for an animal, neither was there any peace to him who went out or came in, because of the adversary. For I set all men everyone against his neighbor.

διοτι προ των ημερων εκεινων ο μισθος των ανθρωπων ουκ εσται εις ονησιν και ο μισθος των κτηνων ουχ υπαρξει και τω εκπορευομενω και τω εισπορευομενω ουκ εσται ειρηνη απο της θλιψεως και εξαποστελω παντας τους ανθρωπους εκαστον επι τον πλησιον αυτου

Yahweh of Armies says: “Many peoples and the inhabitants of many cities will yet come.

Yes, many peoples and strong nations will come to seek Yahweh of Armies in Jerusalem and to entreat the favor of Yahweh.”

Yea, many H7227 people H5971 and strong H6099 nations H1471 shall come H935 (QalPerf) to seek H1245 (PielInf) the Lord H3068 of hosts H6635 in Jerusalem, H3389 and to pray H2470 (PielInf) before H6440 the Lord. H3068

και ηξουσιν λαοι πολλοι και εθνη πολλα εκζητησαι το προσωπον κυριου παντοκρατορος εν ιερουσαλημ και του εξιλασκεσθαι το προσωπον κυριου

Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you! He is righteous, and having salvation; lowly, and riding on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria. I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and there won’t be room enough for them.

It will happen in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Behold, a day of Yahweh comes, when your plunder will be divided within you.

ιδου ημεραι ερχονται του κυριου και διαμερισθησεται τα σκυλα σου εν σοι

You shall flee by the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azel. Yes, you shall flee, just like you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Yahweh my God will come, and all the holy ones with you.^‡

It will happen that everyone who is left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, Yahweh of Armies, and to keep the feast of booths.

και εσται οσοι εαν καταλειφθωσιν εκ παντων των εθνων των ελθοντων επι ιερουσαλημ και αναβησονται κατ ενιαυτον του προσκυνησαι τω βασιλει κυριω παντοκρατορι και του εορταζειν την εορτην της σκηνοπηγιας

If the family of Egypt doesn’t go up and doesn’t come, neither will it rain on them. This will be the plague with which Yahweh will strike the nations that don’t go up to keep the feast of booths.

And if the family H4940 of Egypt H4714 go not up, H5927 (QalImpf) and come H935 (QalPerf) not, that [have] no [rain]; there shall be the plague, H4046 wherewith the Lord H3068 will smite H5062 (QalImpf) the heathen H1471 that come not up H5927 (QalImpf) to keep H2287 (QalInf) the feast H2282 of tabernacles. εαν δε φυλη αιγυπτου μη αναβη μηδε ελθη εκει και επι τουτοις εσται η πτωσις ην παταξει κυριος παντα τα εθνη οσα εαν μη αναβη του εορτασαι την εορτην της σκηνοπηγιας

Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to Yahweh of Armies; and all those who sacrifice will come and take of them, and cook in them. In that day there will no longer be a Canaanite^§ in the house of Yahweh of Armies.

You say also, ‘Behold,^§ what a weariness it is!’ And you have sniffed at it”, says Yahweh of Armies; “and you have brought that which was taken by violence, the lame, and the sick; thus you bring the offering. Should I accept this at your hand?” says Yahweh.

Malachi 1:13 “Behold”, from “הִנֵּה”, means look at, take notice, observe, see, or gaze at. It is often used as an interjection.

“Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me! The Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to his temple. Behold, the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, is coming!” says Yahweh of Armies.

“But who can endure the day of his coming? And who will stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner’s fire, and like launderers’ soap;
