He shall kill the lamb of the trespass offering. The priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering and put it on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.

Then the priest shall put some of the oil that is in his hand on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the trespass offering.

And the priest H3548 shall put H5414 (QalPerf) of the oil H8081 that [is] in his hand H3709 upon the tip H8571 of the right H3233 ear H241 of him that is to be cleansed, H2891 (HithPtc) and upon the thumb H931 of his right H3233 hand, H3027 and upon the great toe H931 of his right H3233 foot, H7272 upon the place H4725 of the blood H1818 of the trespass offering: H817

‘And the priest hath put of the oil which is on his palm, on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the guilt-offering;

He shall offer one of the turtledoves, or of the young pigeons, which ever he is able to afford,

And he shall offer H6213 (QalPerf) the one H259 of the turtledoves, H8449 or of the young H1121 pigeons, H3123 such as H834 he can get; H3027 H5381 (HiphImpf)

‘And he hath made the one of the turtle-doves, or of the young pigeons (from that which his hand reacheth to,

of the kind he is able to afford, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meal offering. The priest shall make atonement for him who is to be cleansed before Yahweh.”

[Even] such as he H3027 is able to get, H5381 (HiphImpf) the one H259 [for] a sin offering, H2403 and the other H259 [for] a burnt offering, H5930 with the meat offering: H4503 and the priest H3548 shall make an atonement H3722 (PielPerf) for him that is to be cleansed H2891 (HithPtc) before H6440 the Lord. even that which his hand reacheth to), the one a sin-offering, and the one a burnt offering, besides the present, and the priest hath made atonement for him who is to be cleansed before Jehovah.

This is the law for him in whom is the plague of leprosy, who is not able to afford the sacrifice for his cleansing.

This [is] the law H8451 [of him] in whom [is] the plague H5061 of leprosy, H6883 whose hand H3027 is not able to get H5381 (HiphImpf) [that which pertaineth] to his cleansing. H2893

This is a law of him in whom is a plague of leprosy, whose hand reacheth not to his cleansing.’

“ ‘Whomever he who has the discharge touches, without having rinsed his hands in water, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening.

And whomsoever he toucheth H5060 (QalImpf) that hath the issue, H2100 (QalActPtc) and hath not rinsed H7857 (QalPerf) his hands H3027 in water, H4325 he shall wash H3526 (PielPerf) his clothes, H899 and bathe H7364 (QalPerf) [himself] in water, H4325 and be unclean H2930 (QalPerf) until the even. ‘And anyone against whom he cometh who hath the issue (and his hands hath not rinsed with water) hath even washed his garments, and bathed with water, and been unclean till the evening.

Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, even all their sins; and he shall put them on the head of the goat, and shall send him away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who is ready.

The priest, who is anointed and who is consecrated to be priest in his father’s place, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen garments, even the holy garments.

‘And the priest whom he doth anoint, and whose hand he doth consecrate to act as priest instead of his father, hath made atonement, and hath put on the linen garments, the holy garments;

“ ‘He who is the high priest among his brothers, upon whose head the anointing oil is poured, and who is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not let the hair of his head hang loose, or tear his clothes.

‘And the high priest of his brethren, on whose head is poured the anointing oil, and hath consecrated his hand to put on the garments, his head doth not uncover, nor rend his garments,

or a man who has an injured foot, or an injured hand,

Or a man H376 that is brokenfooted, H7667 H7272 or brokenhanded, H7667 H3027

or a man in whom there is a breach in the foot, or a breach in the hand,

You must not offer any of these as the bread of your God from the hand of a foreigner, because their corruption is in them. There is a defect in them. They shall not be accepted for you.’ ”

Neither from a stranger’s H5236 hand H3027 H1121 shall ye offer H7126 (HiphImpf) the bread H3899 of your God H430 of any of these; because their corruption H4893 [is] in them, [and] blemishes H3971 [be] in them: they shall not be accepted H7521 (NiphImpf) for you.

And from the hand of a son of a stranger ye do not bring near the bread of your God, of any of these, for their corruption is in them; blemish is in them; they are not pleasing for you.’

“Bring him who cursed out of the camp; and let all who heard him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

Bring forth H3318 (HiphImpv) him that hath cursed H7043 (PielPtc) without H2351 the camp; H4264 and let all that heard H8085 (QalActPtc) [him] lay H5564 (QalPerf) their hands H3027 upon his head, H7218 and let all the congregation H5712 stone H7275 (QalPerf) him.

‘Bring out the reviler unto the outside of the camp; and all those hearing have laid their hands on his head, and all the company have stoned him.

“ ‘If you sell anything to your neighbor, or buy from your neighbor, you shall not wrong one another.

And if thou sell H4376 (QalImpf) ought H4465 unto thy neighbour, H5997 or buyest H7069 (QalInf) [ought] of thy neighbour’s H5997 hand, H3027 ye shall not oppress H3238 (HiphImpf) one H376 another: H251

‘And when thou sellest anything to thy fellow, or buyest from the hand of thy fellow, ye do not oppress one another;

If a man has no one to redeem it, and he becomes prosperous and finds sufficient means to redeem it,

And if the man H376 have none to redeem H1350 (QalActPtc) it, and himself H3027 be able H1767 H5381 (HiphPerf) to redeem H4672 (QalPerf) H1353 it;

and when a man hath no redeemer, and his own hand hath attained, and he hath found as sufficient for its redemption,

But if he isn’t able to get it back for himself, then what he has sold shall remain in the hand of him who has bought it until the Year of Jubilee. In the Jubilee it shall be released, and he shall return to his property.

But if he H3027 be not able H1767 to restore H4672 (QalPerf) H7725 (HiphInf) [it] to him, then that which is sold H4465 shall remain in the hand H3027 of him that hath bought H7069 (QalActPtc) it until the year H8141 of jubile: H3104 and in the jubile H3104 it shall go out, H3318 (QalPerf) and he shall return H7725 (QalPerf) unto his possession. ‘And if his hand hath not found sufficiency to give back to him, then hath his sold thing been in the hand of him who buyeth it till the year of jubilee; and it hath gone out in the jubilee, and he hath returned to his possession.

“ ‘If your brother has become poor, and his hand can’t support himself among you, then you shall uphold him. He shall live with you like an alien and a temporary resident.

And if thy brother H251 be waxen poor, H4134 (QalImpf) and fallen in decay H4131 (QalPerf) with thee; H3027 then thou shalt relieve H2388 (HiphPerf) him: [yea, though he be] a stranger, H1616 or a sojourner; H8453 that he may live H2416 with thee.

‘And when thy brother is become poor, and his hand hath failed with thee, then thou hast kept hold on him, sojourner and settler, and he hath lived with thee;

“ ‘If an alien or temporary resident with you becomes rich, and your brother beside him has grown poor, and sells himself to the stranger or foreigner living among you, or to a member of the stranger’s family,

And if a sojourner H1616 or stranger H8453 wax rich H5381 (HiphImpf) by thee, H3027 and thy brother H251 [that dwelleth] by him wax poor, H4134 (QalActPtc) and sell H4376 (NiphPerf) himself unto the stranger H1616 [or] sojourner H8453 by thee, or to the stock H6133 of the stranger’s H1616 family: H4940

‘And when the hand of a sojourner or settler with thee attaineth riches, and thy brother with him hath become poor, and he hath been sold to a sojourner, a settler with thee, or to the root of the family of a sojourner,

or his uncle, or his uncle’s son, may redeem him, or any who is a close relative to him of his family may redeem him; or if he has grown rich, he may redeem himself.

Either his uncle, H1730 or his uncle’s H1730 son, H1121 may redeem H1350 (QalImpf) him, or [any] that is nigh H7607 of kin H1320 unto him of his family H4940 may redeem H1350 (QalImpf) him; or if he be able, H5381 (HiphPerf) he may redeem H1350 (NiphPerf) himself. H3027

or his uncle, or a son of his uncle, doth redeem him, or any of the relations of his flesh, of his family, doth redeem him, or-his own hand hath attained-then he hath been redeemed.

I will bring a sword upon you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant. You will be gathered together within your cities, and I will send the pestilence among you. You will be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

And I will bring H935 (HiphPerf) a sword H2719 upon you, that shall avenge H5358 (QalActPtc) the quarrel H5359 of [my] covenant: H1285 and when ye are gathered together H622 (NiphPerf) within H413 your cities, H5892 I will send H7971 (PielPerf) the pestilence H1698 among H8432 you; and ye shall be delivered H5414 (NiphPerf) into the hand H3027 of the enemy. and I have brought in on you a sword, executing the vengeance of a covenant; and ye have been gathered unto your cities, and I have sent pestilence into your midst, and ye have been given into the hand of an enemy.

These are the statutes, ordinances, and laws, which Yahweh made between him and the children of Israel in Mount Sinai by Moses.

These [are] the statutes H2706 and judgments H4941 and laws, H8451 which the Lord H3068 made H5414 (QalPerf) between him and the children H1121 of Israel H3478 in mount H2022 Sinai H5514 by the hand H3027 of Moses. H4872

These are the statutes, and the judgments, and the laws, which Jehovah hath given between Him and the sons of Israel, in mount Sinai, by the hand of Moses.

But if he is poorer than your valuation, then he shall be set before the priest, and the priest shall assign a value to him. The priest shall assign a value according to his ability to pay.

But if he be poorer H4134 (QalActPtc) than thy estimation, H6187 then he shall present H5975 (HiphPerf) himself before H6440 the priest, H3548 and the priest H3548 shall value H6186 (HiphPerf) him; according to H6310 his ability H3027 H5381 (HiphImpf) that vowed H5087 (QalActPtc) shall the priest H3548 value H6186 (HiphImpf) him.

‘And if he is poorer than thy valuation, then he hath presented himself before the priest, and the priest hath valued him; according to that which the hand of him who is vowing doth reach doth the priest value him.

“Then the Tent of Meeting shall set out, with the camp of the Levites in the middle of the camps. As they encamp, so shall they set out, every man in his place, by their standards.

Then the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 shall set forward H5265 (QalPerf) with the camp H4264 of the Levites H3881 in the midst H8432 of the camp: H4264 as they encamp, H2583 (QalImpf) so shall they set forward, H5265 (QalImpf) every man H376 in his place H3027 by their standards. H1714

And the tent of meeting-the camp of the Levites-hath journeyed in the midst of the camps; as they encamp so they journey, each at his station by their standards.

These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests who were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest’s office.

These [are] the names H8034 of the sons H1121 of Aaron, H175 the priests H3548 which were anointed, H4886 (QalPasPtc) whom he consecrated H4390 (PielPerf) H3027 to minister in the priest’s office. H3547 (PielInf)

these are the names of the sons of Aaron, the anointed priests, whose hand he hath consecrated for acting as priest.

This is the service of the families of the sons of the Gershonites in the Tent of Meeting. Their duty shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

This [is] the service H5656 of the families H4940 of the sons H1121 of Gershon H1649 in the tabernacle H168 of the congregation: H4150 and their charge H4931 [shall be] under the hand H3027 of Ithamar H385 the son H1121 of Aaron H175 the priest. H3548

This is the service of the families of the sons of the Gershonite in the tent of meeting; and their charge is under the hand of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.

This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service in the Tent of Meeting, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.”

This [is] the service H5656 of the families H4940 of the sons H1121 of Merari, H4847 according to all their service, H5656 in the tabernacle H168 of the congregation, H4150 under the hand H3027 of Ithamar H385 the son H1121 of Aaron H175 the priest. H3548

‘This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, for all their service, in the tent of meeting, by the hand of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.’

These are those who were counted of the families of the Kohathites, all who served in the Tent of Meeting, whom Moses and Aaron counted according to the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.

These [were] they that were numbered H6485 (QalPasPtc) of the families H4940 of the Kohathites, H6956 all that might do service H5647 (QalActPtc) in the tabernacle H168 of the congregation, H4150 which Moses H4872 and Aaron H175 did number H6485 (QalPerf) according to the commandment H6310 of the Lord H3068 by the hand H3027 of Moses. H4872

These are those numbered of the families of the Kohathite, every one who is serving in the tent of meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, by the command of Jehovah, by the hand of Moses.

These are those who were counted of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron counted according to the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.

These [be] those that were numbered H6485 (QalPasPtc) of the families H4940 of the sons H1121 of Merari, H4847 whom Moses H4872 and Aaron H175 numbered H6485 (QalPerf) according to the word H6310 of the Lord H3068 by the hand H3027 of Moses. H4872

These are those numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, by the command of Jehovah, by the hand of Moses.

According to the commandment of Yahweh they were counted by Moses, everyone according to his service and according to his burden. Thus they were counted by him, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

According to the commandment H6310 of the Lord H3068 they were numbered H6485 (QalPerf) by the hand H3027 of Moses, H4872 every H376 one H376 according to his service, H5656 and according to his burden: H4853 thus were they numbered H6485 (QalPasPtc) of him, as the Lord H3068 commanded H6680 (PielPerf) Moses. H4872

by the command of Jehovah hath one numbered them, by the hand of Moses, each man by his service, and by his burden, with his numbered ones, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

The priest shall set the woman before Yahweh, and let the hair of the woman’s head go loose, and put the meal offering of memorial in her hands, which is the meal offering of jealousy. The priest shall have in his hand the water of bitterness that brings a curse.

And the priest H3548 shall set H5975 (HiphPerf) the woman H802 before H6440 the Lord, H3068 and uncover H6544 (QalPerf) the woman’s H802 head, H7218 and put H5414 (QalPerf) the offering H4503 of memorial H2146 in her hands, H3709 which [is] the jealousy H7068 offering: H4503 and the priest H3548 shall have in his hand H3027 the bitter H4751 water H4325 that causeth the curse: H779 (PielPtc)

and the priest hath caused the woman to stand before Jehovah, and hath uncovered the woman’s head, and hath given into her hands the present of the memorial, it is a present of jealousy, and in the hand of the priest are the bitter waters which cause the curse.

The priest shall take the meal offering of jealousy out of the woman’s hand, and shall wave the meal offering before Yahweh, and bring it to the altar.

Then the priest H3548 shall take H3947 (QalPerf) the jealousy H7068 offering H4503 out of the woman’s H802 hand, H3027 and shall wave H5130 (HiphPerf) the offering H4503 before H6440 the Lord, H3068 and offer H7126 (HiphPerf) it upon the altar: H4196

‘And the priest hath taken out of the hand of the woman the present of jealousy, and hath waved the present before Jehovah, and hath brought it near unto the altar;

“ ‘This is the law of the Nazirite who vows and of his offering to Yahweh for his separation, in addition to that which he is able to afford. According to his vow which he vows, so he must do after the law of his separation.’ ”

This [is] the law H8451 of the Nazarite H5139 who hath vowed, H5087 (QalImpf) [and of] his offering H7133 unto the Lord H3068 for his separation, H5145 beside [that] that his hand H3027 shall get: H5381 (HiphImpf) according H6310 to the vow H5088 which he vowed, H5087 (QalImpf) so he must do H6213 (QalImpf) after the law H8451 of his separation. H5145

‘This is the law of the Nazarite, who voweth his offering to Jehovah for his separation, apart from that which his hand attaineth; according to his vow which he voweth so he doth by the law of his separation.’

He gave four wagons and eight oxen to the sons of Merari, according to their service, under the direction of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

And four H702 wagons H5699 and eight H8083 oxen H1241 he gave H5414 (QalPerf) unto the sons H1121 of Merari, H4847 according H6310 unto their service, H5656 under the hand H3027 of Ithamar H385 the son H1121 of Aaron H175 the priest. H3548

and the four of the waggons and the eight of the oxen he hath given to the sons of Merari, according to their service, by the hand of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest;

You shall present the Levites before Yahweh. The children of Israel shall lay their hands on the Levites,

And thou shalt bring H7126 (HiphPerf) the Levites H3881 before H6440 the Lord: H3068 and the children H1121 of Israel H3478 shall put H5564 (QalPerf) their hands H3027 upon the Levites: H3881

and thou hast brought near the Levites before Jehovah, and the sons of Israel have laid their hands on the Levites,

“The Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, and you shall offer the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering to Yahweh, to make atonement for the Levites.

And the Levites H3881 shall lay H5564 (QalImpf) their hands H3027 upon the heads H7218 of the bullocks: H6499 and thou shalt offer H6213 (QalImpv) the one H259 [for] a sin offering, H2403 and the other H259 [for] a burnt offering, H5930 unto the Lord, H3068 to make an atonement H3722 (PielInf) for the Levites. ‘And the Levites lay their hands on the head of the bullocks, and make thou the one a sin-offering, and the one a burnt-offering to Jehovah, to atone for the Levites,

At the commandment of Yahweh they encamped, and at the commandment of Yahweh they traveled. They kept Yahweh’s command, at the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.

At the commandment H6310 of the Lord H3068 they rested H2583 (QalImpf) in the tents, and at the commandment H6310 of the Lord H3068 they journeyed: H5265 (QalImpf) they kept H8104 (QalPerf) the charge H4931 of the Lord, H3068 at the commandment H6310 of the Lord H3068 by the hand H3027 of Moses. by the command of Jehovah they encamp, and by the command of Jehovah they journey; the charge of Jehovah they have kept, by the command of Jehovah in the hand of Moses.

They first went forward according to the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.

And they first H7223 took their journey H5265 (QalImpf) according to the commandment H6310 of the Lord H3068 by the hand H3027 of Moses. H4872

and they journey at first, by the command of Jehovah, in the hand of Moses.

Yahweh said to Moses, “Has Yahweh’s hand grown short? Now you will see whether my word will happen to you or not.”

And the Lord H3068 said H559 (QalImpf) unto Moses, H4872 Is the Lord’s H3068 hand H3027 waxed short? H7114 (QalImpf) thou shalt see H7200 (QalImpf) now whether my word H1697 shall come to pass H7136 (QalImpf) unto thee or not.

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, ‘Is the hand of Jehovah become short? now thou dost see whether My word meeteth thee or not.’

Amalek dwells in the land of the South. The Hittite, the Jebusite, and the Amorite dwell in the hill country. The Canaanite dwells by the sea, and along the side of the Jordan.”

Amalek is dwelling in the land of the south, and the Hittite, and the Jebusite, and the Amorite is dwelling in the hill country, and the Canaanite is dwelling by the sea, and by the side of the Jordan.’

surely you shall not come into the land concerning which I swore that I would make you dwell therein, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

Doubtless ye shall not H518 come H935 (QalImpf) into the land, H776 [concerning] which I sware H3027 H5375 (QalPerf) to make you dwell H7931 (PielInf) therein, save Caleb H3612 the son H1121 of Jephunneh, H3312 and Joshua H3091 the son H1121 of Nun. H5126

ye-ye come not in unto the land which I have lifted up My hand to cause you to tabernacle in it, except Caleb son of Jephunneh, and Joshua son of Nun.

even all that Yahweh has commanded you by Moses, from the day that Yahweh gave commandment and onward throughout your generations—

[Even] all that the Lord H3068 hath commanded H6680 (PielPerf) you by the hand H3027 of Moses, H4872 from the day H3117 that the Lord H3068 commanded H6680 (PielPerf) [Moses], and henceforward H1973 among your generations; H1755

the whole that Jehovah hath charged upon you by the hand of Moses, from the day that Jehovah hath commanded, and henceforth, to your generations,

“ ‘But the soul who does anything with a high hand, whether he is native-born or a foreigner, blasphemes Yahweh. That soul shall be cut off from among his people.

‘And the person who doth aught with a high hand-of the native or of the sojourner-Jehovah he is reviling, and that person hath been cut off from the midst of his people;

to be a memorial to the children of Israel, to the end that no stranger who isn’t of the offspring of Aaron, would come near to burn incense before Yahweh, that he not be as Korah and as his company; as Yahweh spoke to him by Moses.

a memorial to the sons of Israel, so that a stranger who is not of the seed of Aaron doth not draw near to make a perfume before Jehovah, and is not as Korah, and as his company,-as Jehovah hath spoken by the hand of Moses to him.

Moses lifted up his hand, and struck the rock with his rod twice, and water came out abundantly. The congregation and their livestock drank.

And Moses H4872 lifted up H7311 (HiphImpf) his hand, H3027 and with his rod H4294 he smote H5221 (HiphImpf) the rock H5553 twice: H6471 and the water H4325 came out H3318 (QalImpf) abundantly, H7227 and the congregation H5712 drank, H8354 (QalImpf) and their beasts H1165 [also].

and Moses lifteth up his hand, and smiteth the rock with his rod twice; and much water cometh out, and the company drink, also their beasts.

He said, “You shall not pass through.” Edom came out against him with many people, and with a strong hand.

And he said, H559 (QalImpf) Thou shalt not go through. H5674 (QalImpf) And Edom H123 came out H3318 (QalImpf) against H7125 (QalInf) him with much H3515 people, H5971 and with a strong H2389 hand. H3027

And he saith, ‘Thou dost not pass over;’ and Edom cometh out to meet him with much people, and with a strong hand;

Israel vowed a vow to Yahweh, and said, “If you will indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.”

And Israel H3478 vowed H5087 (QalImpf) a vow H5088 unto the Lord, H3068 and said, H559 (QalImpf) If thou wilt indeed H5414 (QalInf) deliver H5414 (QalImpf) this people H5971 into my hand, H3027 then I will utterly destroy H2763 (HiphPerf) their cities. H5892

And Israel voweth a vow to Jehovah, and saith, ‘If Thou dost certainly give this people into my hand, then I have devoted their cities;’

For Heshbon was the city of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who had fought against the former king of Moab, and taken all his land out of his hand, even to the Arnon.

For Heshbon H2809 [was] the city H5892 of Sihon H5511 the king H4428 of the Amorites, H567 who had fought H3898 (NiphPerf) against the former H7223 king H4428 of Moab, H4124 and taken H3947 (QalImpf) all his land H776 out of his hand, H3027 even unto Arnon. H769

for Heshbon is a city of Sihon king of the Amorite, and he hath fought against the former king of Moab, and taketh all his land out of his hand, unto Arnon;

Yahweh said to Moses, “Don’t fear him, for I have delivered him into your hand, with all his people, and his land. You shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.”

And the Lord H3068 said H559 (QalImpf) unto Moses, H4872 Fear H3372 (QalImpf) him not: for I have delivered H5414 (QalPerf) him into thy hand, H3027 and all his people, H5971 and his land; H776 and thou shalt do H6213 (QalPerf) to him as thou didst H6213 (QalPerf) unto Sihon H5511 king H4428 of the Amorites, H567 which dwelt H3427 (QalActPtc) at Heshbon. And Jehovah saith unto Moses, ‘Fear him not, for into thy hand I have given him, and all his people, and his land, and thou hast done to him as thou hast done to Sihon king of the Amorite, who is dwelling in Heshbon.’

The elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the rewards of divination in their hand. They came to Balaam, and spoke to him the words of Balak.

And the elders H2205 of Moab H4124 and the elders H2205 of Midian H4080 departed H3212 (QalImpf) with the rewards of divination H7081 in their hand; H3027 and they came H935 (QalImpf) unto Balaam, H1109 and spake H1696 (PielImpf) unto him the words H1697 of Balak. H1111

And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian go, and divinations in their hand, and they come in unto Balaam, and speak unto him the words of Balak,

The donkey saw Yahweh’s angel standing in the way, with his sword drawn in his hand; and the donkey turned out of the path, and went into the field. Balaam struck the donkey, to turn her into the path.

And the ass H860 saw H7200 (QalImpf) the angel H4397 of the Lord H3068 standing H5324 (NiphPtc) in the way, H1870 and his sword H2719 drawn H8025 (QalPasPtc) in his hand: H3027 and the ass H860 turned aside H5186 (QalImpf) out of the way, H1870 and went H3212 (QalImpf) into the field: H7704 and Balaam H1109 smote H5221 (HiphImpf) the ass, H860 to turn H5186 (HiphInf) her into the way. H1870

and the ass seeth the messenger of Jehovah standing in the way, and his drawn sword in his hand, and the ass turneth aside out of the way, and goeth into a field, and Balaam smiteth the ass to turn it aside into the way.

Balaam said to the donkey, “Because you have mocked me, I wish there were a sword in my hand, for now I would have killed you.”

And Balaam H1109 said H559 (QalImpf) unto the ass, H860 Because thou hast mocked H5953 (HithPerf) me: I would H3863 there were H3426 a sword H2719 in mine hand, H3027 for now would I kill H2026 (QalPerf) thee.

and Balaam saith to the ass, ‘Because thou hast rolled thyself against me; oh that there were a sword in my hand, for now I had slain thee;’
