The priest shall come again on the seventh day, and look. If the plague has spread in the walls of the house,

‘And the priest hath turned back on the seventh day, and hath seen, and lo, the plague hath spread in the walls of the house,

then the priest shall come in and look; and behold, if the plague has spread in the house, it is a destructive mildew in the house. It is unclean.

then hath the priest come in and seen, and lo, the plague hath spread in the house; it is a fretting leprosy in the house; it is unclean.

“If the priest shall come in, and examine it, and behold, the plague hasn’t spread in the house, after the house was plastered, then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.

And if the priest H3548 shall come in, H935 (QalImpf) H935 (QalInf) and look H7200 (QalPerf) [upon it], and, behold, the plague H5061 hath not spread H6581 (QalPerf) in the house, H1004 after H310 the house H1004 was plaistered: H2902 (NiphInf) then the priest H3548 shall pronounce the house H1004 clean, H2891 (PielPerf) because the plague H5061 is healed. ‘And if the priest certainly come in, and hath seen, and lo, the plague hath not spread in the house after the daubing of the house, then hath the priest pronounced the house clean, for the plague hath been healed.

and Yahweh said to Moses, “Tell Aaron your brother not to come at just any time into the Most Holy Place within the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark; lest he die; for I will appear in the cloud on the mercy seat.

yea, Jehovah saith unto Moses, ‘Speak unto Aaron thy brother, and he cometh not in at all times unto the sanctuary within the vail, unto the front of the mercy-seat, which is upon the ark, and he dieth not, for in a cloud I am seen upon the mercy-seat.

“ ‘If a man takes his sister—his father’s daughter, or his mother’s daughter—and sees her nakedness, and she sees his nakedness, it is a shameful thing. They shall be cut off in the sight of the children of their people. He has uncovered his sister’s nakedness. He shall bear his iniquity.

‘And a man who taketh his sister, a daughter of his father or daughter of his mother, and he hath seen her nakedness, and she seeth his nakedness: it is a shame; and they have been cut off before the eyes of the sons of their people; the nakedness of his sister he hath uncovered; his iniquity he beareth.

but they shall not go in to see the sanctuary even for a moment, lest they die.”

But they shall not go in H935 (QalImpf) to see H7200 (QalInf) when the holy things H6944 are covered, H1104 (PielInf) lest they die. H4191 (QalPerf)

and they go not in to see when the holy thing is swallowed, that they have died.’

This was the workmanship of the lamp stand, beaten work of gold. From its base to its flowers, it was beaten work. He made the lamp stand according to the pattern which Yahweh had shown Moses.

And this work H4639 of the candlestick H4501 [was of] beaten H4749 gold, H2091 unto the shaft H3409 thereof, unto the flowers H6525 thereof, [was] beaten work: H4749 according unto the pattern H4758 which the Lord H3068 had shewed H7200 (HiphPerf) Moses, H4872 so he made H6213 (QalPerf) the candlestick. And this is the work of the candlestick: beaten work of gold; unto its thigh, unto its flower it is beaten work; as the appearance which Jehovah shewed Moses, so he hath made the candlestick.

If you treat me this way, please kill me right now, if I have found favor in your sight; and don’t let me see my wretchedness.”

And if thou deal H6213 (QalActPtc) thus with me, kill H2026 (QalImpv) me, I pray thee, out of hand, H2026 (QalInf) if I have found H4672 (QalPerf) favour H2580 in thy sight; H5869 and let me not see H7200 (QalImpf) my wretchedness. H7451

and if thus Thou art doing to me-slay me, I pray Thee; slay, if I have found grace in thine eyes, and let me not look on mine affliction.’

Yahweh said to Moses, “Has Yahweh’s hand grown short? Now you will see whether my word will happen to you or not.”

And the Lord H3068 said H559 (QalImpf) unto Moses, H4872 Is the Lord’s H3068 hand H3027 waxed short? H7114 (QalImpf) thou shalt see H7200 (QalImpf) now whether my word H1697 shall come to pass H7136 (QalImpf) unto thee or not.

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, ‘Is the hand of Jehovah become short? now thou dost see whether My word meeteth thee or not.’

See the land, what it is; and the people who dwell therein, whether they are strong or weak, whether they are few or many;

And see H7200 (QalPerf) the land, H776 what it [is]; and the people H5971 that dwelleth H3427 (QalActPtc) therein, whether they [be] strong H2389 or weak, H7504 few H4592 or many; H7227

and have seen the land what it is, and the people which is dwelling on it, whether it is strong or feeble; whether it is few or many;

They went and came to Moses, to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, to the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word to them and to all the congregation. They showed them the fruit of the land.

And they went H3212 (QalImpf) and came H935 (QalImpf) to Moses, H4872 and to Aaron, H175 and to all the congregation H5712 of the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 unto the wilderness H4057 of Paran, H6290 to Kadesh; H6946 and brought back H7725 (HiphImpf) word H1697 unto them, and unto all the congregation, H5712 and shewed H7200 (HiphImpf) them the fruit H6529 of the land. And they go and come in unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto all the company of the sons of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and they bring them and all the company back word, and shew them the fruit of the land.

However, the people who dwell in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large. Moreover, we saw the children of Anak there.

only, surely the people which is dwelling in the land is strong; and the cities are fenced, very great; and also children of Anak we have seen there.

They brought up an evil report of the land which they had spied out to the children of Israel, saying, “The land, through which we have gone to spy it out, is a land that eats up its inhabitants; and all the people who we saw in it are men of great stature.

and they bring out an evil account of the land which they have spied unto the sons of Israel, saying, ‘The land into which we passed over to spy it, is a land eating up its inhabitants; and all the people whom we saw in its midst are men of stature;

There we saw the Nephilim,^§ the sons of Anak, who come from the Nephilim.^§ We were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.”

But all the congregation threatened to stone them with stones. Yahweh’s glory appeared in the Tent of Meeting to all the children of Israel.

But all the congregation H5712 bade H559 (QalImpf) stone H7275 (QalInf) them with stones. H68 And the glory H3519 of the Lord H3068 appeared H7200 (NiphPerf) in the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 before all the children H1121 of Israel. H3478

And all the company say to stone them with stones, and the honour of Jehovah hath appeared in the tent of meeting unto all the sons of Israel.

They will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that you Yahweh are among this people; for you Yahweh are seen face to face, and your cloud stands over them, and you go before them, in a pillar of cloud by day, and in a pillar of fire by night.

And they will tell H559 (QalPerf) [it] to the inhabitants H3427 (QalActPtc) of this land: H776 [for] they have heard H8085 (QalPerf) that thou Lord H3068 [art] among H7130 this people, H5971 that thou Lord H3068 art seen H7200 (NiphPerf) face H5869 to face, H5869 and [that] thy cloud H6051 standeth H5975 (QalActPtc) over them, and [that] thou goest H1980 (QalActPtc) before H6440 them, by day time H3119 in a pillar H5982 of a cloud, H6051 and in a pillar H5982 of fire H784 by night. and they have said it unto the inhabitant of this land, they have heard that Thou, Jehovah, art in the midst of this people, that eye to eye Thou art seen-O Jehovah, and Thy cloud is standing over them,-and in a pillar of cloud Thou art going before them by day, and in a pillar of fire by night.

because all those men who have seen my glory and my signs, which I worked in Egypt and in the wilderness, yet have tempted me these ten times, and have not listened to my voice;

for all the men who are seeing My honour, and My signs, which I have done in Egypt, and in the wilderness, and try Me these ten times, and have not hearkened to My voice-

surely they shall not see the land which I swore to their fathers, neither shall any of those who despised me see it.

they see not the land which I have sworn to their fathers, yea, none of those despising Me see it;

It shall be to you for a fringe,^§ that you may see it, and remember all Yahweh’s commandments, and do them; and that you don’t follow your own heart and your own eyes, after which you used to play the prostitute;

and it hath been to you for a fringe, and ye have seen it, and have remembered all the commands of Jehovah, and have done them, and ye search not after your heart, and after your eyes, after which ye are going a-whoring;

Korah assembled all the congregation opposite them to the door of the Tent of Meeting. Yahweh’s glory appeared to all the congregation.

And Korah H7141 gathered H6950 (HiphImpf) all the congregation H5712 against them unto the door H6607 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation: H4150 and the glory H3519 of the Lord H3068 appeared H7200 (NiphImpf) unto all the congregation. H5712

And Korah assembleth against them all the company unto the opening of the tent of meeting, and the honour of Jehovah is seen by all the company.

When the congregation was assembled against Moses and against Aaron, they looked toward the Tent of Meeting. Behold, the cloud covered it, and Yahweh’s glory appeared.

And it came to pass, when the congregation H5712 was gathered H6950 (NiphInf) against Moses H4872 and against Aaron, H175 that they looked H6437 (QalImpf) toward the tabernacle H168 of the congregation: H4150 and, behold, the cloud H6051 covered H3680 (PielPerf) it, and the glory H3519 of the Lord H3068 appeared. And it cometh to pass, in the company being assembled against Moses and against Aaron, that they turn towards the tent of meeting, and lo, the cloud hath covered it, and the honour of Jehovah is seen;

Moses brought out all the rods from before Yahweh to all the children of Israel. They looked, and each man took his rod.

And Moses H4872 brought out H3318 (HiphImpf) all the rods H4294 from before H6440 the Lord H3068 unto all the children H1121 of Israel: H3478 and they looked, H7200 (QalImpf) and took H3947 (QalImpf) every man H376 his rod. H4294

and Moses bringeth out all the rods from before Jehovah, unto all the sons of Israel, and they look, and take each his rod.

Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and fell on their faces. Yahweh’s glory appeared to them.

And Moses H4872 and Aaron H175 went H935 (QalImpf) from the presence H6440 of the assembly H6951 unto the door H6607 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation, H4150 and they fell H5307 (QalImpf) upon their faces: H6440 and the glory H3519 of the Lord H3068 appeared H7200 (NiphImpf) unto them.

And Moses and Aaron go in from the presence of the assembly unto the opening of the tent of meeting, and fall on their faces, and the honour of Jehovah is seen by them.

When all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they wept for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel.

And when all the congregation H5712 saw H7200 (QalImpf) that Aaron H175 was dead, H1478 (QalPerf) they mourned H1058 (QalImpf) for Aaron H175 thirty H7970 days, H3117 [even] all the house H1004 of Israel. H3478

and all the company see that Aaron hath expired, and they bewail Aaron thirty days-all the house of Israel.

Yahweh said to Moses, “Make a venomous snake, and set it on a pole. It shall happen that everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.”

And the Lord H3068 said H559 (QalImpf) unto Moses, H4872 Make H6213 (QalImpv) thee a fiery serpent, H8314 and set H7760 (QalImpv) it upon a pole: H5251 and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, H5391 (QalPasPtc) when he looketh H7200 (QalPerf) upon it, shall live. H2425 (QalPerf)

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, ‘Make for thee a burning serpent, and set it on an ensign; and it hath been, every one who is bitten and hath seen it-he hath lived.

Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites.

And Balak H1111 the son H1121 of Zippor H6834 saw H7200 (QalImpf) all that Israel H3478 had done H6213 (QalPerf) to the Amorites. H567

And Balak son of Zippor seeth all that Israel hath done to the Amorite,

The donkey saw Yahweh’s angel standing in the way, with his sword drawn in his hand; and the donkey turned out of the path, and went into the field. Balaam struck the donkey, to turn her into the path.

And the ass H860 saw H7200 (QalImpf) the angel H4397 of the Lord H3068 standing H5324 (NiphPtc) in the way, H1870 and his sword H2719 drawn H8025 (QalPasPtc) in his hand: H3027 and the ass H860 turned aside H5186 (QalImpf) out of the way, H1870 and went H3212 (QalImpf) into the field: H7704 and Balaam H1109 smote H5221 (HiphImpf) the ass, H860 to turn H5186 (HiphInf) her into the way. and the ass seeth the messenger of Jehovah standing in the way, and his drawn sword in his hand, and the ass turneth aside out of the way, and goeth into a field, and Balaam smiteth the ass to turn it aside into the way.

The donkey saw Yahweh’s angel, and she thrust herself to the wall, and crushed Balaam’s foot against the wall. He struck her again.

And when the ass H860 saw H7200 (QalImpf) the angel H4397 of the Lord, H3068 she thrust H3905 (NiphImpf) herself unto the wall, H7023 and crushed H3905 (QalImpf) Balaam’s H1109 foot H7272 against the wall: H7023 and he smote H5221 (HiphInf) her again. H3254 (HiphImpf)

and the ass seeth the messenger of Jehovah, and is pressed unto the wall, and presseth Balaam’s foot unto the wall, and he addeth to smite her;

The donkey saw Yahweh’s angel, and she lay down under Balaam. Balaam’s anger burned, and he struck the donkey with his staff.

And when the ass H860 saw H7200 (QalImpf) the angel H4397 of the Lord, H3068 she fell down H7257 (QalImpf) under Balaam: H1109 and Balaam’s H1109 anger H639 was kindled, H2734 (QalImpf) and he smote H5221 (HiphImpf) the ass H860 with a staff. H4731

and the ass seeth the messenger of Jehovah, and croucheth under Balaam, and the anger of Balaam burneth, and he smiteth the ass with a staff.

Then Yahweh opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw Yahweh’s angel standing in the way, with his sword drawn in his hand; and he bowed his head, and fell on his face.

And Jehovah uncovereth the eyes of Balaam, and he seeth the messenger of Jehovah standing in the way, and his drawn sword in his hand, and he boweth and doth obeisance, to his face;

The donkey saw me, and turned away before me these three times. Unless she had turned away from me, surely now I would have killed you, and saved her alive.”

And the ass H860 saw H7200 (QalImpf) me, and turned H5186 (QalImpf) from me H6440 these three H7969 times: H7272 unless H194 she had turned H5186 (QalPerf) from me, H6440 surely now also I had slain H2026 (QalPerf) thee, and saved her alive. H2421 (HiphPerf)

and the ass seeth me, and turneth aside at my presence these three times; unless she had turned aside from my presence, surely now also, thee I had slain, and her kept alive.’

In the morning, Balak took Balaam, and brought him up into the high places of Baal; and he saw from there part of the people.

And it came to pass on the morrow, H1242 that Balak H1111 took H3947 (QalImpf) Balaam, H1109 and brought him up H5927 (HiphImpf) into the high places H1116 of Baal, H1120 that thence he might see H7200 (QalImpf) the utmost H7097 [part] of the people. H5971

and it cometh to pass in the morning, that Balak taketh Balaam, and causeth him to go up the high places of Baal, and he seeth from thence the extremity of the people.

Balaam said to Balak, “Stand by your burnt offering, and I will go. Perhaps Yahweh will come to meet me. Whatever he shows me I will tell you.” He went to a bare height.

and Balaam saith to Balak, ‘Station thyself by thy burnt-offering and I go on, it may be Jehovah doth come to meet me, and the thing which He sheweth me-I have declared to thee;’ and he goeth to a high place.

For from the top of the rocks I see him. From the hills I see him. Behold, it is a people that dwells alone, and shall not be listed among the nations.

For from the top H7218 of the rocks H6697 I see H7200 (QalImpf) him, and from the hills H1389 I behold H7789 (QalImpf) him: lo, the people H5971 shall dwell H7931 (QalImpf) alone, H910 and shall not be reckoned H2803 (HithImpf) among the nations. H1471

For from the top of rocks I see it, And from heights I behold it; Lo a people! alone it doth tabernacle, And among nations doth not reckon itself.

Balak said to him, “Please come with me to another place, where you may see them. You shall see just part of them, and shall not see them all. Curse them from there for me.”

And Balak H1111 said H559 (QalImpf) unto him, Come, H3212 (QalImpv) I pray thee, with me unto another H312 place, H4725 from whence thou mayest see H7200 (QalImpf) them: thou shalt see H7200 (QalImpf) but H657 the utmost H7097 part of them, and shalt not see H7200 (QalImpf) them all: and curse H6895 (QalImpv) me them from thence.

And Balak saith unto him, ‘Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, whence thou dost see it, only its extremity thou dost see, and all of it thou dost not see, and pierce it for me thence;’

He has not seen iniquity in Jacob. Neither has he seen perverseness in Israel. Yahweh his God is with him. The shout of a king is among them.

He hath not beheld H5027 (HiphPerf) iniquity H205 in Jacob, H3290 neither hath he seen H7200 (QalPerf) perverseness H5999 in Israel: H3478 the Lord H3068 his God H430 [is] with him, and the shout H8643 of a king H4428 [is] among them.

He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, Nor hath He seen perverseness in Israel; Jehovah his God is with him, And a shout of a king is in him.

When Balaam saw that it pleased Yahweh to bless Israel, he didn’t go, as at the other times, to use divination, but he set his face toward the wilderness.

And when Balaam H1109 saw H7200 (QalImpf) that it pleased H5869 H2895 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 to bless H1288 (PielInf) Israel, H3478 he went H1980 (QalPerf) not, as at other times, H6471 to seek H7125 (QalInf) for enchantments, H5173 but he set H7896 (QalImpf) his face H6440 toward the wilderness. H4057

And Balaam seeth that it is good in the eyes of Jehovah to bless Israel, and he hath not gone as time by time to meet enchantments, and he setteth towards the wilderness his face;

Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel dwelling according to their tribes; and the Spirit of God came on him.

And Balaam H1109 lifted up H5375 (QalImpf) his eyes, H5869 and he saw H7200 (QalImpf) Israel H3478 abiding H7931 (QalActPtc) [in his tents] according to their tribes; H7626 and the spirit H7307 of God H430 came upon him.

and Balaam lifteth up his eyes, and seeth Israel tabernacling, by its tribes, and the Spirit of God is upon him,

I see him, but not now. I see him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob. A scepter will rise out of Israel, and shall strike through the corners of Moab, and crush all the sons of Sheth.

I see it, but not now; I behold it, but not near; A star hath proceeded from Jacob, And a sceptre hath risen from Israel, And hath smitten corners of Moab, And hath destroyed all sons of Sheth.

He looked at Amalek, and took up his parable, and said, “Amalek was the first of the nations, but his latter end shall come to destruction.”
