Korah assembled all the congregation opposite them to the door of the Tent of Meeting. Yahweh’s glory appeared to all the congregation.

But on the next day all the congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and against Aaron, saying, “You have killed Yahweh’s people!”

When the congregation was assembled against Moses and against Aaron, they looked toward the Tent of Meeting. Behold, the cloud covered it, and Yahweh’s glory appeared.

It shall happen that the rod of the man whom I shall choose shall bud. I will make the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against you, cease from me.”

^[17:20] και εσται ο ανθρωπος ον εαν εκλεξωμαι αυτον η ραβδος αυτου εκβλαστησει και περιελω απ εμου τον γογγυσμον των υιων ισραηλ α αυτοι γογγυζουσιν εφ υμιν

Yahweh said to Moses, “Put back the rod of Aaron before the covenant, to be kept for a token against the children of rebellion; that you may make an end of their complaining against me, that they not die.”

^[17:25] και ειπεν κυριος προς μωυσην αποθες την ραβδον ααρων ενωπιον των μαρτυριων εις διατηρησιν σημειον τοις υιοις των ανηκοων και παυσασθω ο γογγυσμος αυτων απ εμου και ου μη αποθανωσιν

For the tithe of the children of Israel, which they offer as a wave offering to Yahweh, I have given to the Levites for an inheritance. Therefore I have said to them, ‘Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.’ ”

οτι τα επιδεκατα των υιων ισραηλ οσα αν αφορισωσιν κυριω αφαιρεμα δεδωκα τοις λευιταις εν κληρω δια τουτο ειρηκα αυτοις εν μεσω υιων ισραηλ ου κληρονομησουσιν κληρον

You shall bear no sin by reason of it, when you have heaved from it its best. You shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, that you not die.’ ”

There was no water for the congregation; and they assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.

και ουκ ην υδωρ τη συναγωγη και ηθροισθησαν επι μωυσην και ααρων

“Aaron shall be gathered to his people; for he shall not enter into the land which I have given to the children of Israel, because you rebelled against my word at the waters of Meribah.

δια τουτο ερουσιν οι αινιγματισται ελθετε εις εσεβων ινα οικοδομηθη και κατασκευασθη πολις σηων

He sent messengers to Balaam the son of Beor, to Pethor, which is by the River, to the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, “Behold, there is a people who came out of Egypt. Behold, they cover the surface of the earth, and they are staying opposite me.

Yahweh’s angel said to him, “Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out as an adversary, because your way is perverse before me.

και ειπεν αυτω ο αγγελος του θεου δια τι επαταξας την ονον σου τουτο τριτον και ιδου εγω εξηλθον εις διαβολην σου οτι ουκ αστεια η οδος σου εναντιον μου

Balaam said to Balak, “Stand by your burnt offering, and I will go. Perhaps Yahweh will come to meet me. Whatever he shows me I will tell you.” He went to a bare height.

And Balaam H1109 said H559 (QalImpf) unto Balak, H1111 Stand H3320 (HithImpv) by thy burnt offering, H5930 and I will go: H3212 (QalImpf) peradventure the Lord H3068 will come H7136 (NiphImpf) to meet H7125 (QalInf) me: and whatsoever H1697 he sheweth H7200 (HiphImpf) me I will tell H5046 (HiphPerf) thee. και ειπεν βαλααμ προς βαλακ παραστηθι επι της θυσιας σου και πορευσομαι ει μοι φανειται ο θεος εν συναντησει και ρημα ο εαν μοι δειξη αναγγελω σοι και παρεστη βαλακ επι της θυσιας αυτου και βαλααμ επορευθη επερωτησαι τον θεον και επορευθη ευθειαν

He returned to him, and behold, he was standing by his burnt offering, he, and all the princes of Moab.

And he returned H7725 (QalImpf) unto him, and, lo, he stood H5324 (NiphPtc) by his burnt sacrifice, H5930 he, and all the princes H8269 of Moab. H4124

και απεστραφη προς αυτον και οδε εφειστηκει επι των ολοκαυτωματων αυτου και παντες οι αρχοντες μωαβ μετ αυτου

He said to Balak, “Stand here by your burnt offering, while I meet God over there.”

He came to him, and behold, he was standing by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. Balak said to him, “What has Yahweh spoken?”

And when he came H935 (QalImpf) to him, behold, he stood H5324 (NiphPtc) by his burnt offering, H5930 and the princes H8269 of Moab H4124 with him. And Balak H1111 said H559 (QalImpf) unto him, What hath the Lord H3068 spoken? H1696 (PielPerf)

Balak took Balaam to the top of Peor, that looks down on the desert.

και παρελαβεν βαλακ τον βαλααμ επι κορυφην του φογωρ το παρατεινον εις την ερημον

As valleys they are spread out, as gardens by the riverside, as aloes which Yahweh has planted, as cedar trees beside the waters.

οτι εχθραινουσιν αυτοι υμιν εν δολιοτητι οσα δολιουσιν υμας δια φογωρ και δια χασβι θυγατερα αρχοντος μαδιαν αδελφην αυτων την πεπληγυιαν εν τη ημερα της πληγης δια φογωρ

The sons of Eliab: Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. These are that Dathan and Abiram who were called by the congregation, who rebelled against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah when they rebelled against Yahweh;

And the sons H1121 of Eliab; H446 Nemuel, H5241 and Dathan, H1885 and Abiram. H48 This [is that] Dathan H1885 and Abiram, H48 [which were] famous H7148 H7121 (QalPasPtc) in the congregation, H5712 who strove H5327 (HiphPerf) against Moses H4872 and against Aaron H175 in the company H5712 of Korah, H7141 when they strove H5327 (HiphInf) against the Lord: H3068

και υιοι ελιαβ ναμουηλ και δαθαν και αβιρων ουτοι επικλητοι της συναγωγης ουτοι εισιν οι επισυσταντες επι μωυσην και ααρων εν τη συναγωγη κορε εν τη επισυστασει κυριου

According to the lot shall their inheritance be divided between the more and the fewer.”

According H6310 to the lot H1486 shall the possession H5159 thereof be divided H2505 (NiphImpf) between many H7227 and few. H4592

εκ του κληρου μεριεις την κληρονομιαν αυτων ανα μεσον πολλων και ολιγων

“Our father died in the wilderness. He was not among the company of those who gathered themselves together against Yahweh in the company of Korah, but he died in his own sin. He had no sons.

ο πατηρ ημων απεθανεν εν τη ερημω και αυτος ουκ ην εν μεσω της συναγωγης της επισυστασης εναντι κυριου εν τη συναγωγη κορε οτι δια αμαρτιαν αυτου απεθανεν και υιοι ουκ εγενοντο αυτω

“Let Yahweh, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,

Let the Lord, H3068 the God H430 of the spirits H7307 of all flesh, H1320 set H6485 (QalImpf) a man H376 over the congregation, H5712

επισκεψασθω κυριος ο θεος των πνευματων και πασης σαρκος ανθρωπον επι της συναγωγης ταυτης

this is the burnt offering of every Sabbath, in addition to the continual burnt offering and its drink offering.

[This is] the burnt offering H5930 of every sabbath, H7676 beside the continual H8548 burnt offering, H5930 and his drink offering. H5262

ολοκαυτωμα σαββατων εν τοις σαββατοις επι της ολοκαυτωσεως της δια παντος και την σπονδην αυτου

Also, one male goat for a sin offering to Yahweh shall be offered in addition to the continual burnt offering and its drink offering.

And one H259 kid H8163 of the goats H5795 for a sin offering H2403 unto the Lord H3068 shall be offered, H6213 (NiphImpf) beside the continual H8548 burnt offering, H5930 and his drink offering. H5262

και χιμαρον εξ αιγων ενα περι αμαρτιας κυριω επι της ολοκαυτωσεως της δια παντος ποιηθησεται και η σπονδη αυτου

In this way you shall offer daily, for seven days, the food of the offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh. It shall be offered in addition to the continual burnt offering and its drink offering.

After this manner ye shall offer H6213 (QalImpf) daily, H3117 throughout the seven H7651 days, H3117 the meat H3899 of the sacrifice made by fire, H801 of a sweet H5207 savour H7381 unto the Lord: H3068 it shall be offered H6213 (NiphImpf) beside the continual H8548 burnt offering, H5930 and his drink offering. ταυτα κατα ταυτα ποιησετε την ημεραν εις τας επτα ημερας δωρον καρπωμα εις οσμην ευωδιας κυριω επι του ολοκαυτωματος του δια παντος ποιησεις την σπονδην αυτου

“If she has a husband, while her vows are on her, or the rash utterance of her lips with which she has bound her soul,

^[30:7] εαν δε γενομενη γενηται ανδρι και αι ευχαι αυτης επ αυτη κατα την διαστολην των χειλεων αυτης ους ωρισατο κατα της ψυχης αυτης

But if her husband forbids her in the day that he hears it, then he makes void her vow which is on her and the rash utterance of her lips, with which she has bound her soul. Yahweh will forgive her.

But if her husband H376 disallowed H5106 (HiphImpf) her on the day H3117 that he heard H8085 (QalInf) [it]; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, H5088 and that which she uttered H4008 with her lips, H8193 wherewith she bound H631 (QalPerf) her soul, H5315 of none effect: H6565 (HiphPerf) and the Lord H3068 shall forgive H5545 (QalImpf) her.

^[30:9] εαν δε ανανευων ανανευση ο ανηρ αυτης η αν ημερα ακουση πασαι αι ευχαι αυτης και οι ορισμοι αυτης ους ωρισατο κατα της ψυχης αυτης ου μενουσιν οτι ο ανηρ ανενευσεν απ αυτης και κυριος καθαριει αυτην

“But the vow of a widow, or of her who is divorced, everything with which she has bound her soul shall stand against her.

But every vow H5088 of a widow, H490 and of her that is divorced, H1644 (QalPasPtc) wherewith they have bound H631 (QalPerf) their souls, H5315 shall stand H6965 (QalImpf) against her.

^[30:10] και ευχη χηρας και εκβεβλημενης οσα αν ευξηται κατα της ψυχης αυτης μενουσιν αυτη

Moses spoke to the people, saying, “Arm men from among you for war, that they may go against Midian, to execute Yahweh’s vengeance on Midian.

και ελαλησεν μωυσης προς τον λαον λεγων εξοπλισατε εξ υμων ανδρας παραταξασθαι εναντι κυριου επι μαδιαν αποδουναι εκδικησιν παρα του κυριου τη μαδιαν

They fought against Midian, as Yahweh commanded Moses. They killed every male.

And they warred H6633 (QalImpf) against the Midianites, H4080 as the Lord H3068 commanded H6680 (PielPerf) Moses; H4872 and they slew H2026 (QalImpf) all the males. H2145

και παρεταξαντο επι μαδιαν καθα ενετειλατο κυριος τω μωυση και απεκτειναν παν αρσενικον

They killed the kings of Midian with the rest of their slain: Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba, the five kings of Midian. They also killed Balaam the son of Beor with the sword.

They traveled from Etham, and turned back to Pihahiroth, which is before Baal Zephon, and they encamped before Migdol.

And they removed H5265 (QalImpf) from Etham, H864 and turned again H7725 (QalImpf) unto Pihahiroth, H6367 which [is] before Baalzephon: H1189 and they pitched H2583 (QalImpf) before H6440 Migdol. H4024

then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the side of Edom, and your south border shall be from the end of the Salt Sea eastward.

και εσται υμιν το κλιτος το προς λιβα απο ερημου σιν εως εχομενον εδωμ και εσται υμιν τα ορια προς λιβα απο μερους της θαλασσης της αλυκης απο ανατολων

“The cities which you shall give to the Levites, they shall be the six cities of refuge, which you shall give for the man slayer to flee to. Besides them you shall give forty-two cities.

then the congregation shall judge between the striker and the avenger of blood according to these ordinances.

και ελαβον εξ υμων ανδρας σοφους και επιστημονας και συνετους και κατεστησα αυτους ηγεισθαι εφ υμων χιλιαρχους και εκατονταρχους και πεντηκονταρχους και δεκαδαρχους και γραμματοεισαγωγεις τοις κριταις υμων

και ιαιρ υιος μανασση ελαβεν πασαν την περιχωρον αργοβ εως των οριων γαργασι και ομαχαθι επωνομασεν αυτας επι τω ονοματι αυτου την βασαν αυωθ ιαιρ εως της ημερας ταυτης

Furthermore Yahweh was angry with me for your sakes, and swore that I should not go over the Jordan, and that I should not go in to that good land which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance;

και κυριος εθυμωθη μοι περι των λεγομενων υφ υμων και ωμοσεν ινα μη διαβω τον ιορδανην τουτον και ινα μη εισελθω εις την γην ην κυριος ο θεος διδωσιν σοι εν κληρω

και μνησθηση οτι οικετης ησθα εν γη αιγυπτω και εξηγαγεν σε κυριος ο θεος σου εκειθεν εν χειρι κραταια και εν βραχιονι υψηλω δια τουτο συνεταξεν σοι κυριος ο θεος σου ωστε φυλασσεσθαι την ημεραν των σαββατων και αγιαζειν αυτην

for Yahweh your God among you is a jealous God, lest the anger of Yahweh your God be kindled against you, and he destroy you from off the face of the earth.

οτι θεος ζηλωτης κυριος ο θεος σου εν σοι μη οργισθεις θυμωθη κυριος ο θεος σου εν σοι και εξολεθρευση σε απο προσωπου της γης

Yahweh your God will cast out those nations before you little by little. You may not consume them at once, lest the animals of the field increase on you.

And the Lord H3068 thy God H430 will put out H5394 (QalPerf) those H411 nations H1471 before H6440 thee by little H4592 and little: H4592 thou mayest H3201 (QalImpf) not consume H3615 (PielInf) them at once, H4118 lest the beasts H2416 of the field H7704 increase H7235 (QalImpf) upon thee.

και καταναλωσει κυριος ο θεος σου τα εθνη ταυτα απο προσωπου σου κατα μικρον μικρον ου δυνηση εξαναλωσαι αυτους το ταχος ινα μη γενηται η γη ερημος και πληθυνθη επι σε τα θηρια τα αγρια

I took hold of the two tablets, and threw them out of my two hands, and broke them before your eyes.

και επιλαβομενος των δυο πλακων ερριψα αυτας απο των δυο χειρων μου και συνετριψα εναντιον υμων

I fell down before Yahweh, as at the first, forty days and forty nights. I neither ate bread nor drank water, because of all your sin which you sinned, in doing that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, to provoke him to anger.

και εδεηθην εναντιον κυριου δευτερον καθαπερ και το προτερον τεσσαρακοντα ημερας και τεσσαρακοντα νυκτας αρτον ουκ εφαγον και υδωρ ουκ επιον περι πασων των αμαρτιων υμων ων ημαρτετε ποιησαι το πονηρον εναντιον κυριου του θεου υμων παροξυναι αυτον
