[1] Then Job answered,
[2] “How long will you torment me,
and crush me with words?
[3] You have reproached me ten times.
You aren’t ashamed that you attack me.
[4] If it is true that I have erred,
my error remains with myself.
[5] If indeed you will magnify yourselves against me,
and plead against me my reproach,
[6] know now that God has subverted me,
and has surrounded me with his net. [7] “Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard.
I cry for help, but there is no justice.
[8] He has walled up my way so that I can’t pass,
and has set darkness in my paths.
[9] He has stripped me of my glory,
and taken the crown from my head.
[10] He has broken me down on every side, and I am gone.
He has plucked my hope up like a tree.
[11] He has also kindled his wrath against me.
He counts me among his adversaries.
[12] His troops come on together,
build a siege ramp against me,
and encamp around my tent. [13] “He has put my brothers far from me.
My acquaintances are wholly estranged from me.
[14] My relatives have gone away.
My familiar friends have forgotten me.
[15] Those who dwell in my house and my maids consider me a stranger.
I am an alien in their sight.
[16] I call to my servant, and he gives me no answer.
I beg him with my mouth.
[17] My breath is offensive to my wife.
I am loathsome to the children of my own mother.
[18] Even young children despise me.
If I arise, they speak against me.
[19] All my familiar friends abhor me.
They whom I loved have turned against me.
[20] My bones stick to my skin and to my flesh.
I have escaped by the skin of my teeth. [21] “Have pity on me. Have pity on me, you my friends,
for the hand of God has touched me.
[22] Why do you persecute me as God,
and are not satisfied with my flesh? [23] “Oh that my words were now written!
Oh that they were inscribed in a book!
[24] That with an iron pen and lead
they were engraved in the rock forever!
[25] But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives.
In the end, he will stand upon the earth.
[26] After my skin is destroyed,
then I will see God in my flesh,
[27] whom I, even I, will see on my side.
My eyes will see, and not as a stranger.“My heart is consumed within me.
[28] If you say, ‘How we will persecute him!’
because the root of the matter is found in me,
[29] be afraid of the sword,
for wrath brings the punishments of the sword,
that you may know there is a judgment.”

King James Version
[1] Then JobH347 answeredH6030(QalImpf) and said,H559(QalImpf) [2] How long will ye vexH3013(HiphImpf) my soul,H5315 and breakH1792(PielImpf) me in pieces with words?H4405 [3] These tenH6235 timesH6471 have ye reproachedH3637(HiphImpf) me: ye are not ashamedH954(QalImpf) [that] ye make yourselves strangeH1970(HiphImpf) to me. [4] And be it indeedH551 [that] I have erred,H7686(QalPerf) mine errorH4879 remainethH3885(QalImpf) with myself. [5] If indeedH551 ye will magnifyH1431(HiphImpf) [yourselves] against me, and pleadH3198(HiphImpf) against me my reproach:H2781 [6] KnowH3045(QalImpv) nowH645 that GodH433 hath overthrownH5791(PielPerf) me, and hath compassedH5362(HiphPerf) me with his net.H4686 [7] Behold, I cry outH6817(QalImpf) of wrong,H2555 but I am not heard:H6030(NiphImpf) I cry aloud,H7768(PielImpf) but [there is] no judgment.H4941 [8] He hath fenced upH1443(QalPerf) my wayH734 that I cannot pass,H5674(QalImpf) and he hath setH7760(QalImpf) darknessH2822 in my paths.H5410 [9] He hath strippedH6584(HiphPerf) me of my glory,H3519 and takenH5493(HiphImpf) the crownH5850 [from] my head.H7218 [10] He hath destroyedH5422(QalImpf) me on every side,H5439 and I am gone:H3212(QalImpf) and mine hopeH8615 hath he removedH5265(HiphImpf) like a tree.H6086 [11] He hath also kindledH2734(HiphImpf) his wrathH639 against me, and he countethH2803(QalImpf) me unto him as [one of] his enemies.H6862 [12] His troopsH1416 comeH935(QalImpf) together,H3162 and raise upH5549(QalImpf) their wayH1870 against me, and encampH2583(QalImpf) round aboutH5439 my tabernacle.H168 [13] He hath putH7368 my brethrenH251 farH7368(HiphPerf) from me, and mine acquaintanceH3045(QalActPtc) are verily estrangedH2114(QalPerf) from me. [14] My kinsfolkH7138 have failed,H2308(QalPerf) and my familiar friendsH3045(PualPtc) have forgottenH7911(QalPerf) me. [15] They that dwellH1481(QalActPtc) in mine house,H1004 and my maids,H519 countH2803(QalImpf) me for a stranger:H2114(QalPtc) I am an alienH5237 in their sight.H5869 [16] I calledH7121(QalPerf) my servant,H5650 and he gave [me] no answer;H6030(QalImpf) I intreatedH2603(HithImpf) him withH1119 my mouth.H6310 [17] My breathH7307 is strangeH2114(QalPerf) to my wife,H802 though I intreatedH2589(QalInf) for the children’sH1121 [sake] of mine own body.H990 [18] Yea, young childrenH5759 despisedH3988(QalPerf) me; I arose,H6965(QalImpf) and they spakeH1696(PielImpf) against me. [19] All my inwardH5475 friendsH4962 abhorredH8581(PielPerf) me: and they whom I lovedH157(QalPerf) are turnedH2015(NiphPerf) against me. [20] My boneH6106 cleavethH1692(QalPerf) to my skinH5785 and to my flesh,H1320 and I am escapedH4422(HithImpf) with the skinH5785 of my teeth.H8127 [21] Have pityH2603(QalImpv) upon me, have pityH2603(QalImpv) upon me, O ye my friends;H7453 for the handH3027 of GodH433 hath touchedH5060(QalPerf) me. [22] Why do ye persecuteH7291(QalImpf) me as God,H410 and are not satisfiedH7646(QalImpf) with my flesh?H1320 [23] Oh thatH5414(QalImpf) my wordsH4405 were nowH645 written!H3789(NiphImpf) oh thatH5414(QalImpf) they were printedH2710(HophImpf) in a book!H5612 [24] That they were gravenH2672(NiphImpf) with an ironH1270 penH5842 and leadH5777 in the rockH6697 for ever!H5703 [25] For I knowH3045(QalPerf) [that] my redeemerH1350(QalActPtc) liveth,H2416 and [that] he shall standH6965(QalImpf) at the latterH314 [day] upon the earth:H6083 [26] And [though] afterH310 my skinH5785 [worms] destroyH5362(PielPerf) this [body], yet in my fleshH1320 shall I seeH2372(QalImpf) God:H433 [27] Whom I shall seeH2372(QalImpf) for myself, and mine eyesH5869 shall behold,H7200(QalPerf) and not another;H2114(QalPtc) [though] my reinsH3629 be consumedH3615(QalPerf) withinH2436 me. [28] But ye should say,H559(QalImpf) Why persecuteH7291(QalImpf) we him, seeing the rootH8328 of the matterH1697 is foundH4672(NiphPerf) in me? [29] Be ye afraidH1481(QalImpv) of the sword:H2719 for wrathH2534 [bringeth] the punishmentsH5771 ofH6440 the sword,H2719 that ye may knowH3045(QalImpf) [there is] a judgment.H1779(Qere)
