και ποιησεις ολοκαυτωματα κυριω ολοκαρπωμα η θυσιαν μεγαλυναι ευχην η καθ εκουσιον η εν ταις εορταις υμων ποιησαι οσμην ευωδιας κυριω ει μεν απο των βοων η απο των προβατων

You shall prepare wine for the drink offering, one fourth of a hin, with the burnt offering or for the sacrifice, for each lamb.

Thus it shall be done for each bull, for each ram, for each of the male lambs, or of the young goats.

“But you shall not redeem the firstborn of a cow, or the firstborn of a sheep, or the firstborn of a goat. They are holy. You shall sprinkle their blood on the altar, and shall burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.

πλην πρωτοτοκα μοσχων και πρωτοτοκα προβατων και πρωτοτοκα αιγων ου λυτρωση αγια εστιν και το αιμα αυτων προσχεεις προς το θυσιαστηριον και το στεαρ ανοισεις καρπωμα εις οσμην ευωδιας κυριω

“Whoever in the open field touches one who is slain with a sword, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.

A clean person shall take hyssop, dip it in the water, and sprinkle it on the tent, on all the vessels, on the persons who were there, and on him who touched the bone, or the slain, or the dead, or the grave.

και λημψεται υσσωπον και βαψει εις το υδωρ ανηρ καθαρος και περιρρανει επι τον οικον και επι τα σκευη και επι τας ψυχας οσαι εαν ωσιν εκει και επι τον ημμενον του οστεου του ανθρωπινου η του τραυματιου η του τεθνηκοτος η του μνηματος

Balaam answered the servants of Balak, “If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I can’t go beyond the word of Yahweh my God, to do less or more.

και απεκριθη βαλααμ και ειπεν τοις αρχουσιν βαλακ εαν δω μοι βαλακ πληρη τον οικον αυτου αργυριου και χρυσιου ου δυνησομαι παραβηναι το ρημα κυριου του θεου ποιησαι αυτο μικρον η μεγα εν τη διανοια μου

‘If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I can’t go beyond Yahweh’s word, to do either good or bad from my own mind. I will say what Yahweh says’?

εαν μοι δω βαλακ πληρη τον οικον αυτου αργυριου και χρυσιου ου δυνησομαι παραβηναι το ρημα κυριου ποιησαι αυτο πονηρον η καλον παρ εμαυτου οσα εαν ειπη ο θεος ταυτα ερω

When a man vows a vow to Yahweh, or swears an oath to bind his soul with a bond, he shall not break his word. He shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

If a man H376 vow H5087 (QalImpf) a vow H5088 unto the Lord, H3068 or swear H7650 (NiphInf) an oath H7621 to bind H631 (QalInf) his soul H5315 with a bond; H632 he shall not break H2490 (HiphImpf) his word, H1697 he shall do H6213 (QalImpf) according to all that proceedeth H3318 (QalActPtc) out of his mouth. ^[30:3] ανθρωπος ανθρωπος ος αν ευξηται ευχην κυριω η ομοση ορκον η ορισηται ορισμω περι της ψυχης αυτου ου βεβηλωσει το ρημα αυτου παντα οσα εαν εξελθη εκ του στοματος αυτου ποιησει

“If she has a husband, while her vows are on her, or the rash utterance of her lips with which she has bound her soul,

And if she had at all an husband, H376 when she vowed, H5088 or uttered H4008 ought out of her lips, H8193 wherewith she bound H631 (QalPerf) her soul; H5315

“If she vowed in her husband’s house or bound her soul by a bond with an oath,

^[30:11] εαν δε εν τω οικω του ανδρος αυτης η ευχη αυτης η ο ορισμος κατα της ψυχης αυτης μεθ ορκου

But if her husband says nothing to her from day to day, then he establishes all her vows or all her pledges which are on her. He has established them, because he said nothing to her in the day that he heard them.

But if her husband H376 altogether H2790 (HiphInf) hold his peace H2790 (HiphImpf) at her from day H3117 to day; H3117 then he establisheth H6965 (HiphPerf) all her vows, H5088 or all her bonds, H632 which [are] upon her: he confirmeth H6965 (HiphPerf) them, because he held his peace H2790 (HiphPerf) at her in the day H3117 that he heard H8085 (QalInf) [them].

^[30:15] εαν δε σιωπων παρασιωπηση αυτη ημεραν εξ ημερας και στησει αυτη πασας τας ευχας αυτης και τους ορισμους τους επ αυτης στησει αυτη οτι εσιωπησεν αυτη τη ημερα η ηκουσεν

Or if he struck him with a weapon of wood in the hand, by which a man may die, and he died, he is a murderer. The murderer shall surely be put to death.

Or [if] he smite H5221 (HiphPerf) him with an hand H3027 weapon H3627 of wood, H6086 wherewith he may die, H4191 (QalImpf) and he die, H4191 (QalImpf) he [is] a murderer: H7523 (QalActPtc) the murderer H7523 (QalActPtc) shall surely H4191 (QalInf) be put to death. H4191 (HophImpf)

εαν δε εν σκευει ξυλινω εκ χειρος εξ ου αποθανειται εν αυτω παταξη αυτον και αποθανη φονευτης εστιν θανατω θανατουσθω ο φονευτης

If he shoved him out of hatred, or hurled something at him while lying in wait, so that he died,

But if he thrust H1920 (QalImpf) him of hatred, H8135 or hurl H7993 (HiphPerf) at him by laying of wait, H6660 that he die; H4191 (QalImpf)

εαν δε δι εχθραν ωση αυτον και επιρριψη επ αυτον παν σκευος εξ ενεδρου και αποθανη

or in hostility struck him with his hand, so that he died, he who struck him shall surely be put to death. He is a murderer. The avenger of blood shall put the murderer to death when he meets him.

Or in enmity H342 smite H5221 (HiphPerf) him with his hand, H3027 that he die: H4191 (QalImpf) he that smote H5221 (HiphPtc) [him] shall surely H4191 (QalInf) be put to death; H4191 (HophImpf) [for] he [is] a murderer: H7523 (QalActPtc) the revenger H1350 (QalActPtc) of blood H1818 shall slay H4191 (HiphImpf) the murderer, H7523 (QalActPtc) when he meeteth H6293 (QalInf) him.

η δια μηνιν επαταξεν αυτον τη χειρι και αποθανη θανατω θανατουσθω ο παταξας φονευτης εστιν θανατω θανατουσθω ο φονευων ο αγχιστευων το αιμα αποκτενει τον φονευσαντα εν τω συναντησαι αυτω

“ ‘But if he shoved him suddenly without hostility, or hurled on him anything without lying in wait,

But if he thrust H1920 (QalPerf) him suddenly H6621 without H3808 enmity, H342 or have cast H7993 (HiphPerf) upon him any thing H3627 without laying of wait, H6660

εαν δε εξαπινα ου δι εχθραν ωση αυτον η επιρριψη επ αυτον παν σκευος ουκ εξ ενεδρου

or with any stone, by which a man may die, not seeing him, and cast it on him so that he died, and he was not his enemy and not seeking his harm,

η παντι λιθω εν ω αποθανειται εν αυτω ουκ ειδως και επιπεση επ αυτον και αποθανη αυτος δε ουκ εχθρος αυτου ην ουδε ζητων κακοποιησαι αυτον

lest you corrupt yourselves, and make yourself a carved image in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

μη ανομησητε και ποιησητε υμιν εαυτοις γλυπτον ομοιωμα πασαν εικονα ομοιωμα αρσενικου η θηλυκου

For ask now of the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and from the one end of the sky to the other, whether there has been anything as great as this thing is, or has been heard like it?

επερωτησατε ημερας προτερας τας γενομενας προτερας σου απο της ημερας ης εκτισεν ο θεος ανθρωπον επι της γης και επι το ακρον του ουρανου εως ακρου του ουρανου ει γεγονεν κατα το ρημα το μεγα τουτο ει ηκουσται τοιουτο

Or has God tried to go and take a nation for himself from among another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, by war, by a mighty hand, by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Yahweh your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

ει επειρασεν ο θεος εισελθων λαβειν εαυτω εθνος εκ μεσου εθνους εν πειρασμω και εν σημειοις και εν τερασιν και εν πολεμω και εν χειρι κραταια και εν βραχιονι υψηλω και εν οραμασιν μεγαλοις κατα παντα οσα εποιησεν κυριος ο θεος ημων εν αιγυπτω ενωπιον σου βλεποντος

If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you, and he gives you a sign or a wonder,

^[13:2] εαν δε αναστη εν σοι προφητης η ενυπνιαζομενος ενυπνιον και δω σοι σημειον η τερας

you shall not listen to the words of that prophet, or to that dreamer of dreams; for Yahweh your God is testing you, to know whether you love Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

Thou shalt not hearken H8085 (QalImpf) unto the words H1697 of that prophet, H5030 or that dreamer H2492 (QalActPtc) of dreams: H2472 for the Lord H3068 your God H430 proveth H5254 (PielPtc) you, to know H3045 (QalInf) whether ye H3426 love H157 (QalActPtc) the Lord H3068 your God H430 with all your heart H3824 and with all your soul. ^[13:4] ουκ ακουσεσθε των λογων του προφητου εκεινου η του ενυπνιαζομενου το ενυπνιον εκεινο οτι πειραζει κυριος ο θεος υμας ειδεναι ει αγαπατε κυριον τον θεον υμων εξ ολης της καρδιας υμων και εξ ολης της ψυχης υμων

That prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death, because he has spoken rebellion against Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to draw you aside out of the way which Yahweh your God commanded you to walk in. So you shall remove the evil from among you.

And that prophet, H5030 or that dreamer H2492 (QalActPtc) of dreams, H2472 shall be put to death; H4191 (HophImpf) because he hath spoken H1696 (PielPerf) to turn H5627 [you] away from the Lord H3068 your God, H430 which brought you out H3318 (HiphPtc) of the land H776 of Egypt, H4714 and redeemed H6299 (QalActPtc) you out of the house H1004 of bondage, H5650 to thrust H5080 (HiphInf) thee out of the way H1870 which the Lord H3068 thy God H430 commanded H6680 (PielPerf) thee to walk in. ^[13:6] και ο προφητης εκεινος η ο το ενυπνιον ενυπνιαζομενος εκεινος αποθανειται ελαλησεν γαρ πλανησαι σε απο κυριου του θεου σου του εξαγαγοντος σε εκ γης αιγυπτου του λυτρωσαμενου σε εκ της δουλειας εξωσαι σε εκ της οδου ης ενετειλατο σοι κυριος ο θεος σου πορευεσθαι εν αυτη και αφανιεις τον πονηρον εξ υμων αυτων

If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend who is as your own soul, entices you secretly, saying, “Let’s go and serve other gods”—which you have not known, you, nor your fathers;

^[13:7] εαν δε παρακαλεση σε ο αδελφος σου εκ πατρος σου η εκ μητρος σου η ο υιος σου η η θυγατηρ σου η η γυνη η εν κολπω σου η ο φιλος ο ισος της ψυχης σου λαθρα λεγων βαδισωμεν και λατρευσωμεν θεοις ετεροις ους ουκ ηδεις συ και οι πατερες σου

of the gods of the peoples who are around you, near to you, or far off from you, from the one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth—

[Namely], of the gods H430 of the people H5971 which [are] round about H5439 you, nigh H7138 unto thee, or far off H7350 from thee, from the [one] end H7097 of the earth H776 even unto the [other] end H7097 of the earth; H776

^[13:8] απο των θεων των εθνων των περικυκλω υμων των εγγιζοντων σοι η των μακραν απο σου απ ακρου της γης εως ακρου της γης

You shall not eat of anything that dies of itself. You may give it to the foreigner living among you who is within your gates, that he may eat it; or you may sell it to a foreigner; for you are a holy people to Yahweh your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.

παν θνησιμαιον ου φαγεσθε τω παροικω τω εν ταις πολεσιν σου δοθησεται και φαγεται η αποδωση τω αλλοτριω οτι λαος αγιος ει κυριω τω θεω σου ουχ εψησεις αρνα εν γαλακτι μητρος αυτου

If your brother, a Hebrew man, or a Hebrew woman, is sold to you and serves you six years, then in the seventh year you shall let him go free from you.

εαν δε πραθη σοι ο αδελφος σου ο εβραιος η η εβραια δουλευσει σοι εξ ετη και τω εβδομω εξαποστελεις αυτον ελευθερον απο σου

If it has any defect—is lame or blind, or has any defect whatever, you shall not sacrifice it to Yahweh your God.

And if there be [any] blemish H3971 therein, [as if it be] lame, H6455 or blind, H5787 [or have] any ill H7451 blemish, H3971 thou shalt not sacrifice H2076 (QalImpf) it unto the Lord H3068 thy God. H430

εαν δε η εν αυτω μωμος χωλον η τυφλον η και πας μωμος πονηρος ου θυσεις αυτο κυριω τω θεω σου

If there is found among you, within any of your gates which Yahweh your God gives you, a man or woman who does that which is evil in Yahweh your God’s sight in transgressing his covenant,

If there be found H4672 (NiphImpf) among H7130 you, within any H259 of thy gates H8179 which the Lord H3068 thy God H430 giveth H5414 (QalActPtc) thee, man H376 or woman, H802 that hath wrought H6213 (QalImpf) wickedness H7451 in the sight H5869 of the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 in transgressing H5674 (QalInf) his covenant, H1285

εαν δε ευρεθη εν σοι εν μια των πολεων σου ων κυριος ο θεος σου διδωσιν σοι ανηρ η γυνη οστις ποιησει το πονηρον εναντιον κυριου του θεου σου παρελθειν την διαθηκην αυτου

and has gone and served other gods and worshiped them, or the sun, or the moon, or any of the stars of the sky, which I have not commanded,

And hath gone H3212 (QalImpf) and served H5647 (QalImpf) other H312 gods, H430 and worshipped H7812 (HithImpf) them, either the sun, H8121 or moon, H3394 or any of the host H6635 of heaven, H8064 which I have not commanded; H6680 (PielPerf)

και ελθοντες λατρευσωσιν θεοις ετεροις και προσκυνησωσιν αυτοις τω ηλιω η τη σεληνη η παντι των εκ του κοσμου του ουρανου α ου προσεταξεν

then you shall bring out that man or that woman who has done this evil thing to your gates, even that same man or woman; and you shall stone them to death with stones.

Then shalt thou bring forth H3318 (HiphPerf) that man H376 or that woman, H802 which have committed H6213 (QalPerf) that wicked H7451 thing, H1697 unto thy gates, H8179 [even] that man H376 or that woman, H802 and shalt stone H5619 (QalPerf) them with stones, H68 till they die. H4191 (QalPerf)

και εξαξεις τον ανθρωπον εκεινον η την γυναικα εκεινην και λιθοβολησετε αυτους εν λιθοις και τελευτησουσιν

At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, he who is to die shall be put to death. At the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.

At the mouth H6310 of two H8147 witnesses, H5707 or three H7969 witnesses, H5707 shall he that is worthy of death H4191 (HophImpf) be put to death; H4191 (QalPtc) [but] at the mouth H6310 of one H259 witness H5707 he shall not be put to death. H4191 (HophImpf)

επι δυσιν μαρτυσιν η επι τρισιν μαρτυσιν αποθανειται ο αποθνησκων ουκ αποθανειται εφ ενι μαρτυρι

The man who does presumptuously in not listening to the priest who stands to minister there before Yahweh your God, or to the judge, even that man shall die. You shall put away the evil from Israel.

And the man H376 that will do H6213 (QalImpf) presumptuously, H2087 and will not hearken H8085 (QalInf) unto the priest H3548 that standeth H5975 (QalActPtc) to minister H8334 (PielInf) there before the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 or unto the judge, H8199 (QalActPtc) even that man H376 shall die: H4191 (QalPerf) and thou shalt put away H1197 (PielPerf) the evil H7451 from Israel. και ο ανθρωπος ος αν ποιηση εν υπερηφανια του μη υπακουσαι του ιερεως του παρεστηκοτος λειτουργειν επι τω ονοματι κυριου του θεου σου η του κριτου ος αν η εν ταις ημεραις εκειναις και αποθανειται ο ανθρωπος εκεινος και εξαρεις τον πονηρον εξ ισραηλ

One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin that he sins. At the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall a matter be established.

ουκ εμμενει μαρτυς εις μαρτυρησαι κατα ανθρωπου κατα πασαν αδικιαν και κατα παν αμαρτημα και κατα πασαν αμαρτιαν ην αν αμαρτη επι στοματος δυο μαρτυρων και επι στοματος τριων μαρτυρων σταθησεται παν ρημα

You shall not see your brother’s ox or his sheep go astray and hide yourself from them. You shall surely bring them again to your brother.

Thou shalt not see H7200 (QalImpf) thy brother’s H251 ox H7794 or his sheep H7716 go astray, H5080 (NiphPtc) and hide H5956 (HithPerf) thyself from them: thou shalt in any case H7725 (HiphInf) bring them again H7725 (HiphImpf) unto thy brother. H251

μη ιδων τον μοσχον του αδελφου σου η το προβατον αυτου πλανωμενα εν τη οδω υπεριδης αυτα αποστροφη αποστρεψεις αυτα τω αδελφω σου και αποδωσεις αυτω
