and the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before Yahweh. They are holy for the priest, together with the breast that is waved and the thigh that is offered. After that the Nazirite may drink wine.

και προσοισει αυτα ο ιερευς επιθεμα εναντι κυριου αγιον εσται τω ιερει επι του στηθυνιου του επιθεματος και επι του βραχιονος του αφαιρεματος και μετα ταυτα πιεται ο ηυγμενος οινον

“ ‘This is the law of the Nazirite who vows and of his offering to Yahweh for his separation, in addition to that which he is able to afford. According to his vow which he vows, so he must do after the law of his separation.’ ”

ουτος ο νομος του ευξαμενου ος αν ευξηται κυριω δωρον αυτου κυριω περι της ευχης χωρις ων αν ευρη η χειρ αυτου κατα δυναμιν της ευχης αυτου ην αν ευξηται κατα νομον αγνειας

the princes of Israel, the heads of their fathers’ houses, gave offerings. These were the princes of the tribes. These are they who were over those who were counted;

But to the sons of Kohath he gave none, because the service of the sanctuary belonged to them; they carried it on their shoulders.

When Moses went into the Tent of Meeting to speak with Yahweh, he heard his voice speaking to him from above the mercy seat that was on the ark of the Testimony, from between the two cherubim; and he spoke to him.

You shall do this to them to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of cleansing on them, let them shave their whole bodies with a razor, let them wash their clothes, and cleanse themselves.

I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the Tent of Meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel, so that there will be no plague among the children of Israel when the children of Israel come near to the sanctuary.”

After that, the Levites went in to do their service in the Tent of Meeting before Aaron and before his sons: as Yahweh had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.

On the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the Tent of the Testimony. At evening it was over the tabernacle, as it were the appearance of fire, until morning.

And on the day H3117 that the tabernacle H4908 was reared up H6965 (HiphInf) the cloud H6051 covered H3680 (PielPerf) the tabernacle, H4908 [namely], the tent H168 of the testimony: H5715 and at even H6153 there was upon the tabernacle H4908 as it were the appearance H4758 of fire, H784 until the morning. Whenever the cloud was taken up from over the Tent, then after that the children of Israel traveled; and in the place where the cloud remained, there the children of Israel encamped.

At the commandment of Yahweh, the children of Israel traveled, and at the commandment of Yahweh they encamped. As long as the cloud remained on the tabernacle they remained encamped.

When the cloud stayed on the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept Yahweh’s command, and didn’t travel.

And when the cloud H6051 tarried long H748 (HiphInf) upon the tabernacle H4908 many H7227 days, H3117 then the children H1121 of Israel H3478 kept H8104 (QalPerf) the charge H4931 of the Lord, H3068 and journeyed H5265 (QalImpf) not.

και οταν εφελκηται η νεφελη επι της σκηνης ημερας πλειους και φυλαξονται οι υιοι ισραηλ την φυλακην του θεου και ου μη εξαρωσιν

Sometimes the cloud was a few days on the tabernacle; then according to the commandment of Yahweh they remained encamped, and according to the commandment of Yahweh they traveled.

And [so] it was, H3426 when the cloud H6051 was a few H4557 days H3117 upon the tabernacle; H4908 according to the commandment H6310 of the Lord H3068 they abode H2583 (QalImpf) in their tents, and according to the commandment H6310 of the Lord H3068 they journeyed. H5265 (QalImpf)

και εσται οταν σκεπαση η νεφελη ημερας αριθμω επι της σκηνης δια φωνης κυριου παρεμβαλουσιν και δια προσταγματος κυριου απαρουσιν

Whether it was two days, or a month, or a year that the cloud stayed on the tabernacle, remaining on it, the children of Israel remained encamped, and didn’t travel; but when it was taken up, they traveled.

Or [whether it were] two days, H3117 or a month, H2320 or a year, H3117 that the cloud H6051 tarried H748 (HiphInf) upon the tabernacle, H4908 remaining H7931 (QalInf) thereon, the children H1121 of Israel H3478 abode H2583 (QalImpf) in their tents, and journeyed H5265 (QalImpf) not: but when it was taken up, H5927 (NiphInf) they journeyed. μηνος ημερας πλεοναζουσης της νεφελης σκιαζουσης επ αυτης παρεμβαλουσιν οι υιοι ισραηλ και ου μη απαρωσιν

At the commandment of Yahweh they encamped, and at the commandment of Yahweh they traveled. They kept Yahweh’s command, at the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.

οτι δια προσταγματος κυριου απαρουσιν την φυλακην κυριου εφυλαξαντο δια προσταγματος κυριου εν χειρι μωυση

When you go to war in your land against the adversary who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets. Then you will be remembered before Yahweh your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.

εαν δε εξελθητε εις πολεμον εν τη γη υμων προς τους υπεναντιους τους ανθεστηκοτας υμιν και σημανειτε ταις σαλπιγξιν και αναμνησθησεσθε εναντι κυριου και διασωθησεσθε απο των εχθρων υμων

“Also in the day of your gladness, and in your set feasts, and in the beginnings of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God. I am Yahweh your God.”

In the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle of the covenant.

They first went forward according to the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.

First, the standard of the camp of the children of Judah went forward according to their armies. Nahshon the son of Amminadab was over his army.

Nethanel the son of Zuar was over the army of the tribe of the children of Issachar.

Eliab the son of Helon was over the army of the tribe of the children of Zebulun.

The standard of the camp of Reuben went forward according to their armies. Elizur the son of Shedeur was over his army.

And the standard H1714 of the camp H4264 of Reuben H7205 set forward H5265 (QalPerf) according to their armies: H6635 and over his host H6635 [was] Elizur H468 the son H1121 of Shedeur. H7707

Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai was over the army of the tribe of the children of Simeon.

και εξαρουσιν ταγμα παρεμβολης εφραιμ συν δυναμει αυτων και επι της δυναμεως αυτων ελισαμα υιος εμιουδ

Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur was over the army of the tribe of the children of Manasseh.

The standard of the camp of the children of Dan, which was the rear guard of all the camps, set forward according to their armies. Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai was over his army.

Moses said to Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses’ father-in-law, “We are journeying to the place of which Yahweh said, ‘I will give it to you.’ Come with us, and we will treat you well; for Yahweh has spoken good concerning Israel.”

Moses said, “Don’t leave us, please; because you know how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and you can be our eyes.

The cloud of Yahweh was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.

And the cloud H6051 of the Lord H3068 [was] upon them by day, H3119 when they went out H5265 (QalInf) of the camp. H4264

Where could I get meat to give all these people? For they weep before me, saying, ‘Give us meat, that we may eat.’

ποθεν μοι κρεα δουναι παντι τω λαω τουτω οτι κλαιουσιν επ εμοι λεγοντες δος ημιν κρεα ινα φαγωμεν

A wind from Yahweh went out and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, about a day’s journey on this side, and a day’s journey on the other side, around the camp, and about two cubits° above the surface of the earth.

Numbers 11:31 A cubit is the length from the tip of the middle finger to the elbow on a man’s arm, or about 18 inches or 46 centimeters.

Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married; for he had married a Cushite woman.

That place was called the valley of Eshcol, because of the cluster which the children of Israel cut down from there.

All the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron. The whole congregation said to them, “We wish that we had died in the land of Egypt, or that we had died in this wilderness!

και διεγογγυζον επι μωυσην και ααρων παντες οι υιοι ισραηλ και ειπαν προς αυτους πασα η συναγωγη οφελον απεθανομεν εν γη αιγυπτω η εν τη ερημω ταυτη ει απεθανομεν

They will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that you Yahweh are among this people; for you Yahweh are seen face to face, and your cloud stands over them, and you go before them, in a pillar of cloud by day, and in a pillar of fire by night.

αλλα και παντες οι κατοικουντες επι της γης ταυτης ακηκοασιν οτι συ ει κυριος εν τω λαω τουτω οστις οφθαλμοις κατ οφθαλμους οπταζη κυριε και η νεφελη σου εφεστηκεν επ αυτων και εν στυλω νεφελης συ πορευη προτερος αυτων την ημεραν και εν στυλω πυρος την νυκτα

“How long shall I bear with this evil congregation that complain against me? I have heard the complaints of the children of Israel, which they complain against me.

εως τινος την συναγωγην την πονηραν ταυτην α αυτοι γογγυζουσιν εναντιον εμου την γογγυσιν των υιων ισραηλ ην εγογγυσαν περι υμων ακηκοα

Your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness; and all who were counted of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, who have complained against me,

Your carcases H6297 shall fall H5307 (QalImpf) in this wilderness; H4057 and all that were numbered H6485 (QalPasPtc) of you, according to your whole number, H4557 from twenty H6242 years H8141 old H1121 and upward, H4605 which have murmured H3885 (HiphPerf) against me,

εν τη ερημω ταυτη πεσειται τα κωλα υμων και πασα η επισκοπη υμων και οι κατηριθμημενοι υμων απο εικοσαετους και επανω οσοι εγογγυσαν επ εμοι

I, Yahweh, have spoken. I will surely do this to all this evil congregation who are gathered together against me. In this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.”

I the Lord H3068 have said, H1696 (PielPerf) I will surely H518 H3808 do H6213 (QalImpf) it H2063 unto all this evil H7451 congregation, H5712 that are gathered together H3259 (NiphPtc) against me: in this wilderness H4057 they shall be consumed, H8552 (NiphImpf) and there they shall die. εγω κυριος ελαλησα η μην ουτως ποιησω τη συναγωγη τη πονηρα ταυτη τη επισυνεσταμενη επ εμε εν τη ερημω ταυτη εξαναλωθησονται και εκει αποθανουνται

The men whom Moses sent to spy out the land, who returned and made all the congregation to murmur against him by bringing up an evil report against the land,

και οι ανθρωποι ους απεστειλεν μωυσης κατασκεψασθαι την γην και παραγενηθεντες διεγογγυσαν κατ αυτης προς την συναγωγην εξενεγκαι ρηματα πονηρα περι της γης

For there the Amalekite and the Canaanite are before you, and you will fall by the sword because you turned back from following Yahweh; therefore Yahweh will not be with you.”

οτι ο αμαληκ και ο χαναναιος εκει εμπροσθεν υμων και πεσεισθε μαχαιρα ου εινεκεν απεστραφητε απειθουντες κυριω και ουκ εσται κυριος εν υμιν

They assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said to them, “You take too much on yourself, since all the congregation are holy, everyone of them, and Yahweh is among them! Why do you lift yourselves up above Yahweh’s assembly?”

συνεστησαν επι μωυσην και ααρων και ειπαν εχετω υμιν οτι πασα η συναγωγη παντες αγιοι και εν αυτοις κυριος και δια τι κατανιστασθε επι την συναγωγην κυριου

Therefore you and all your company have gathered together against Yahweh! What is Aaron that you complain against him?”

For which cause H3651 [both] thou and all thy company H5712 [are] gathered together H3259 (NiphPtc) against the Lord: H3068 and what [is] Aaron, H175 that ye murmur H3885 (HiphImpf) (Qere) H3885 (NiphImpf) against him?

ουτως συ και πασα η συναγωγη σου η συνηθροισμενη προς τον θεον και ααρων τις εστιν οτι διαγογγυζετε κατ αυτου

Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, but you must also make yourself a prince over us?

[Is it] a small thing H4592 that H3588 thou hast brought us up H5927 (HiphPerf) out of a land H776 that floweth H2100 (QalActPtc) with milk H2461 and honey, H1706 to kill H4191 (HiphInf) us in the wilderness, H4057 except thou make H8323 thyself altogether H8323 (HithInf) a prince H8323 (HithImpf) over us?

μη μικρον τουτο οτι ανηγαγες ημας εκ γης ρεουσης γαλα και μελι αποκτειναι ημας εν τη ερημω οτι καταρχεις ημων αρχων
