and they brought their offering before Yahweh, six covered wagons and twelve oxen; a wagon for every two of the princes, and for each one an ox. They presented them before the tabernacle.

When Moses went into the Tent of Meeting to speak with Yahweh, he heard his voice speaking to him from above the mercy seat that was on the ark of the Testimony, from between the two cherubim; and he spoke to him.

“After that, the Levites shall go in to do the service of the Tent of Meeting. You shall cleanse them, and offer them as a wave offering.

After that, the Levites went in to do their service in the Tent of Meeting before Aaron and before his sons: as Yahweh had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.

and afterwards have the Levites gone in to do their service in the tent of meeting, before Aaron and before his sons; as Jehovah hath commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they have done to them.

“This is what is assigned to the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to wait on the service in the work of the Tent of Meeting;

When you go to war in your land against the adversary who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets. Then you will be remembered before Yahweh your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.

‘And when ye go into battle in your land against the adversary who is distressing you, then ye have shouted with the trumpets, and ye have been remembered before Jehovah your God, and ye have been saved from your enemies.

The Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary. The others set up the tabernacle before they arrived.

And the Kohathites have journeyed, bearing the tabernacle, and the others have raised up the tabernacle until their coming in.

So they went up, and spied out the land from the wilderness of Zin to Rehob, to the entrance of Hamath.

and they go up by the south, and come in unto Hebron, and there are Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, children of Anak (and Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt),

They came to the valley of Eshcol, and cut down from there a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bore it on a staff between two. They also brought some of the pomegranates and figs.

And they came H935 (QalImpf) unto the brook H5158 of Eshcol, H812 and cut down H3772 (QalImpf) from thence a branch H2156 with one H259 cluster H811 of grapes, H6025 and they bare H5375 (QalImpf) it between two H8147 upon a staff; H4132 and [they brought] of the pomegranates, H7416 and of the figs. and they come in unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down thence a branch and one cluster of grapes, and they bear it on a staff by two, also some of the pomegranates, and of the figs.

They went and came to Moses, to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, to the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word to them and to all the congregation. They showed them the fruit of the land.

And they go and come in unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto all the company of the sons of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and they bring them and all the company back word, and shew them the fruit of the land.

They told him, and said, “We came to the land where you sent us. Surely it flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.

Why does Yahweh bring us to this land, to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will be captured or killed! Wouldn’t it be better for us to return into Egypt?”

And wherefore hath the Lord H3068 brought H935 (HiphPtc) us unto this land, H776 to fall H5307 (QalInf) by the sword, H2719 that our wives H802 and our children H2945 should be a prey? H957 were it not better H2896 for us to return H7725 (QalInf) into Egypt? H4714

and why is Jehovah bringing us in unto this land to fall by the sword? our wives and our infants are become a prey; is it not good for us to turn back to Egypt?’

If Yahweh delights in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it to us: a land which flows with milk and honey.

If the Lord H3068 delight H2654 (QalPerf) in us, then he will bring H935 (HiphPerf) us into this land, H776 and give H5414 (QalPerf) it us; a land H776 which floweth H2100 (QalActPtc) with milk H2461 and honey. H1706

if Jehovah hath delighted in us, then He hath brought us in unto this land, and hath given it to us, a land which is flowing with milk and honey;

‘Because Yahweh was not able to bring this people into the land which he swore to them, therefore he has slain them in the wilderness.’

Because the Lord H3068 was not H1115 able H3201 (QalInf) to bring H935 (HiphInf) this people H5971 into the land H776 which he sware H7650 (NiphPerf) unto them, therefore he hath slain H7819 (QalImpf) them in the wilderness. H4057

From Jehovah’s want of ability to bring in this people unto the land which He hath sworn to them-He doth slaughter them in the wilderness.

But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and has followed me fully, him I will bring into the land into which he went. His offspring shall possess it.

But my servant H5650 Caleb, H3612 because H6118 he had another H312 spirit H7307 with him, and hath followed H310 me fully, H4390 (PielImpf) him will I bring H935 (HiphPerf) into the land H776 whereinto he went; H935 (QalPerf) and his seed H2233 shall possess H3423 (HiphImpf) it.

and My servant Caleb, because there hath been another spirit with him, and he is fully after Me-I have brought him in unto the land whither he hath entered, and his seed doth possess it.

surely you shall not come into the land concerning which I swore that I would make you dwell therein, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

ye-ye come not in unto the land which I have lifted up My hand to cause you to tabernacle in it, except Caleb son of Jephunneh, and Joshua son of Nun.

But I will bring in your little ones that you said should be captured or killed, and they shall know the land which you have rejected.

‘As to your infants-of whom ye have said, A spoil they are become-I have even brought them in, and they have known the land which ye have kicked against;

“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When you have come into the land of your habitations, which I give to you,

‘And the priest hath made atonement for all the company of the sons of Israel, and it hath been forgiven them, for it is ignorance, and they-they have brought in their offering, a fire-offering to Jehovah, even their sin-offering before Jehovah for their ignorance;

Moreover you haven’t brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, nor given us inheritance of fields and vineyards. Will you put out the eyes of these men? We won’t come up.”

Moreover H637 thou hast not brought H935 (HiphPerf) us into a land H776 that floweth H2100 (QalActPtc) with milk H2461 and honey, H1706 or given H5414 (QalImpf) us inheritance H5159 of fields H7704 and vineyards: H3754 wilt thou put out H5365 (PielImpf) the eyes H5869 of these men? Yea, unto a land flowing with milk and honey thou hast not brought us in, nor dost thou give to us an inheritance of field and vineyard; the eyes of these men dost thou pick out? we do not come up.’

Moses and Aaron came to the front of the Tent of Meeting.

And Moses H4872 and Aaron H175 came H935 (QalImpf) before H6440 the tabernacle H168 of the congregation. H4150

and Moses cometh-Aaron also-unto the front of the tent of meeting.

On the next day, Moses went into the Tent of the Testimony; and behold, Aaron’s rod for the house of Levi had sprouted, budded, produced blossoms, and bore ripe almonds.

And it came to pass, that on the morrow H4283 Moses H4872 went H935 (QalImpf) into the tabernacle H168 of witness; H5715 and, behold, the rod H4294 of Aaron H175 for the house H1004 of Levi H3878 was budded, H6524 (QalPerf) and brought forth H3318 (HiphImpf) buds, H6525 and bloomed H6692 (HiphImpf) blossoms, H6731 and yielded H1580 (QalImpf) almonds. And it cometh to pass, on the morrow, that Moses goeth in unto the tent of the testimony, and lo, the rod of Aaron hath flourished for the house of Levi, and is bringing out flourishing, and doth blossom blossoms, and doth produce almonds;

The first-ripe fruits of all that is in their land, which they bring to Yahweh, shall be yours. Everyone who is clean in your house shall eat of it.

[And] whatsoever is first ripe H1061 in the land, H776 which they shall bring H935 (HiphImpf) unto the Lord, H3068 shall be thine; every one that is clean H2889 in thine house H1004 shall eat H398 (QalImpf) [of] it.

‘The first-fruits of all that is in their land, which they bring in to Jehovah, are thine; every clean one in thy house doth eat it;

Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the evening.

Then the priest H3548 shall wash H3526 (PielPerf) his clothes, H899 and he shall bathe H7364 (QalPerf) his flesh H1320 in water, H4325 and afterward H310 he shall come H935 (QalImpf) into the camp, H4264 and the priest H3548 shall be unclean H2930 (QalPerf) until the even. H6153

and the priest hath washed his garments, and hath bathed his flesh with water, and afterwards doth come in unto the camp, and the priest is unclean till the evening;

“This is the law when a man dies in a tent: everyone who comes into the tent, and everyone who is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.

This [is] the law, H8451 when a man H120 dieth H4191 (QalImpf) in a tent: H168 all that come H935 (QalActPtc) into the tent, H168 and all that [is] in the tent, H168 shall be unclean H2930 (QalImpf) seven H7651 days. H3117

‘This is the law, when a man dieth in a tent: every one who is coming in unto the tent, and all that is in the tent, is unclean seven days;

The children of Israel, even the whole congregation, came into the wilderness of Zin in the first month. The people stayed in Kadesh. Miriam died there, and was buried there.

Then came H935 (QalImpf) the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 [even] the whole congregation, H5712 into the desert H4057 of Zin H6790 in the first H7223 month: H2320 and the people H5971 abode H3427 (QalImpf) in Kadesh; H6946 and Miriam H4813 died H4191 (QalImpf) there, and was buried H6912 (NiphImpf) there.

And the sons of Israel come in,-all the company-to the wilderness of Zin, in the first month, and the people abide in Kadesh, and Miriam dieth there, and is buried there.

Why have you brought Yahweh’s assembly into this wilderness, that we should die there, we and our animals?

And why have ye brought up H935 (HiphPerf) the congregation H6951 of the Lord H3068 into this wilderness, H4057 that we and our cattle H1165 should die H4191 (QalInf) there?

and why have ye brought in the assembly of Jehovah unto this wilderness to die there, we and our beasts?

Why have you made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in to this evil place? It is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.”

And wherefore have ye made us to come up H5927 (HiphPerf) out of Egypt, H4714 to bring H935 (HiphInf) us in unto this evil H7451 place? H4725 it [is] no place H4725 of seed, H2233 or of figs, H8384 or of vines, H1612 or of pomegranates; H7416 neither [is] there any water H4325 to drink. H8354 (QalInf)

and why hast thou brought us up out of Egypt to bring us in unto this evil place? no place of seed, and fig, and vine, and pomegranate; and water there is none to drink.

Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and fell on their faces. Yahweh’s glory appeared to them.

And Moses H4872 and Aaron H175 went H935 (QalImpf) from the presence H6440 of the assembly H6951 unto the door H6607 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation, H4150 and they fell H5307 (QalImpf) upon their faces: H6440 and the glory H3519 of the Lord H3068 appeared H7200 (NiphImpf) unto them.

And Moses and Aaron go in from the presence of the assembly unto the opening of the tent of meeting, and fall on their faces, and the honour of Jehovah is seen by them.

Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you didn’t believe in me, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

And the Lord H3068 spake H559 (QalImpf) unto Moses H4872 and Aaron, H175 Because ye believed H539 (HiphPerf) me not, to sanctify H6942 (HiphInf) me in the eyes H5869 of the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 therefore ye shall not bring H935 (HiphImpf) this congregation H6951 into the land H776 which I have given H5414 (QalPerf) them.

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, and unto Aaron, ‘Because ye have not believed in Me to sanctify Me before the eyes of the sons of Israel, therefore ye do not bring in this assembly unto the land which I have given to them.’

They traveled from Kadesh, and the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, came to Mount Hor.

And the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 [even] the whole congregation, H5712 journeyed H5265 (QalImpf) from Kadesh, H6946 and came H935 (QalImpf) unto mount H2022 Hor. H2023

And the sons of Israel, the whole company, journey from Kadesh, and come in unto mount Hor,

“Aaron shall be gathered to his people; for he shall not enter into the land which I have given to the children of Israel, because you rebelled against my word at the waters of Meribah.

Aaron H175 shall be gathered H622 (NiphImpf) unto his people: H5971 for he shall not enter H935 (QalImpf) into the land H776 which I have given H5414 (QalPerf) unto the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 because ye rebelled against H4784 (QalPerf) my word H6310 at the water H4325 of Meribah. H4809

‘Aaron is gathered unto his people, for he doth not go in unto the land which I have given to the sons of Israel, because that ye provoked My mouth at the waters of Meribah.

The Canaanite, the king of Arad, who lived in the South, heard that Israel came by the way of Atharim. He fought against Israel, and took some of them captive.

And [when] king H4428 Arad H6166 the Canaanite, H3669 which dwelt H3427 (QalActPtc) in the south, H5045 heard H8085 (QalImpf) tell that Israel H3478 came H935 (QalActPtc) by the way H1870 of the spies; H871 then he fought H3898 (NiphImpf) against Israel, H3478 and took H7617 (QalImpf) [some] of them prisoners. And the Canaanite-king Arad-dwelling in the south, heareth that Israel hath come the way of the Atharim, and he fighteth against Israel, and taketh some of them captive.

The people came to Moses, and said, “We have sinned, because we have spoken against Yahweh and against you. Pray to Yahweh, that he take away the serpents from us.” Moses prayed for the people.

and the people come in unto Moses and say, ‘We have sinned, for we have spoken against Jehovah, and against thee; pray unto Jehovah, and He doth turn aside from us the serpent;’ and Moses prayeth in behalf of the people.

Sihon would not allow Israel to pass through his border, but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness, and came to Jahaz. He fought against Israel.

And Sihon hath not suffered Israel to pass through his border, and Sihon gathereth all his people, and cometh out to meet Israel into the wilderness, and cometh in to Jahaz, and fighteth against Israel.

Therefore those who speak in proverbs say, “Come to Heshbon. Let the city of Sihon be built and established;

therefore those using similes say- ‘Enter ye Heshbon, Let the city of Sihon be built and ready,

The elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the rewards of divination in their hand. They came to Balaam, and spoke to him the words of Balak.

And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian go, and divinations in their hand, and they come in unto Balaam, and speak unto him the words of Balak,

God came to Balaam, and said, “Who are these men with you?”

And God cometh in unto Balaam, and saith, ‘Who are these men with thee?’

The princes of Moab rose up, and they went to Balak, and said, “Balaam refuses to come with us.”

And the princes H8269 of Moab H4124 rose up, H6965 (QalImpf) and they went H935 (QalImpf) unto Balak, H1111 and said, H559 (QalImpf) Balaam H1109 refuseth H3985 (PielPerf) to come H1980 (QalInf) with us.

and the princes of Moab rise, and come in unto Balak, and say, ‘Balaam is refusing to come with us.’

They came to Balaam, and said to him, “Balak the son of Zippor says, ‘Please let nothing hinder you from coming to me,

And they came H935 (QalImpf) to Balaam, H1109 and said H559 (QalImpf) to him, Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) Balak H1111 the son H1121 of Zippor, H6834 Let nothing, I pray thee, hinder H4513 (NiphImpf) thee from coming H1980 (QalInf) unto me:

and they come in unto Balaam, and say to him, ‘Thus said Balak son of Zippor, Be not, I pray thee, withheld from coming unto me,

God came to Balaam at night, and said to him, “If the men have come to call you, rise up, go with them; but only the word which I speak to you, that you shall do.”

And God cometh in unto Balaam, by night, and saith to him, ‘If to call for thee the men have come, rise, go with them, and only the thing which I speak unto thee-it thou dost do.’

When Balak heard that Balaam had come, he went out to meet him to the City of Moab, which is on the border of the Arnon, which is in the utmost part of the border.

And when Balak H1111 heard H8085 (QalImpf) that Balaam H1109 was come, H935 (QalActPtc) he went out H3318 (QalImpf) to meet H7125 (QalInf) him unto a city H5892 of Moab, H4124 which [is] in the border H1366 of Arnon, H769 which [is] in the utmost H7097 coast. H1366

And Balak heareth that Balaam hath come, and goeth out to meet him, unto a city of Moab, which is on the border of Arnon, which is in the extremity of the border;

Balaam said to Balak, “Behold, I have come to you. Have I now any power at all to speak anything? I will speak the word that God puts in my mouth.”

And Balaam saith unto Balak, ‘Lo, I have come unto thee; now-am I at all able to speak anything? the word which God setteth in my mouth-it I do speak.’
