Mark 13 (WEBP)

[1] As he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, see what kind of stones and what kind of buildings!”
[2] Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone on another, which will not be thrown down.”
[3] As he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately,
[4] “Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are all about to be fulfilled?”
[5] Jesus, answering, began to tell them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray.
[6] For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’§ and will lead many astray.
[7] “When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, don’t be troubled. For those must happen, but the end is not yet.
[8] For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places. There will be famines and troubles. These things are the beginning of birth pains.
[9] “But watch yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils. You will be beaten in synagogues. You will stand before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them.
[10] The Good News must first be preached to all the nations.
[11] When they lead you away and deliver you up, don’t be anxious beforehand or premeditate what you will say, but say whatever will be given you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
[12] “Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.
[13] You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.
[14] “But when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not” (let the reader understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains,
[15] and let him who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter in, to take anything out of his house.
[16] Let him who is in the field not return back to take his cloak.
[17] But woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse babies in those days!
[18] Pray that your flight won’t be in the winter.
[19] For in those days there will be oppression, such as there has not been the like from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will be.
[20] Unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been saved; but for the sake of the chosen ones, whom he picked out, he shortened the days.
[21] Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ don’t believe it.
[22] For false christs and false prophets will arise and will show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.
[23] But you watch. “Behold, I have told you all things beforehand.
[24] But in those days, after that oppression, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light,
[25] the stars will be falling from the sky, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.
[26] Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
[27] Then he will send out his angels, and will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the sky.
[28] “Now from the fig tree, learn this parable. When the branch has now become tender and produces its leaves, you know that the summer is near;
[29] even so you also, when you see these things coming to pass, know that it is near, at the doors.
[30] Most certainly I say to you, this generation§ will not pass away until all these things happen.
[31] Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
[32] “But of that day or that hour no one knows—not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
[33] Watch, keep alert, and pray; for you don’t know when the time is.
[34] “It is like a man traveling to another country, having left his house and given authority to his servants, and to each one his work, and also commanded the doorkeeper to keep watch.
[35] Watch therefore, for you don’t know when the lord of the house is coming—whether at evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning;
[36] lest, coming suddenly, he might find you sleeping.
[37] What I tell you, I tell all: Watch!”

Mark 13 (KJVS)

[1] And G2532 as he G846 went G1607 (PresMidPasDepPtc) out of G1537 the temple G2411, one G1520 of his G846 disciples G3101 saith G3004 (PresActInd) unto him G846, Master G1320, see G2396 what manner G4217 of stones G3037 and G2532 what G4217 buildings G3619 [are here]!
[2] And G2532 Jesus G2424 answering G611 (AorPasDepPtc) said G2036 (Aor2ActInd) unto him G846, Seest thou G991 (PresActInd) these G5025 great G3173 buildings G3619? there shall G863 not G3364 be left G863 (AorPasSubj) one stone G3037 upon G1909 another G3037, that G3739 shall G2647 not G3364 be thrown down G2647 (AorPasSubj).
[3] And G2532 as he G846 sat G2521 (PresMidPasDepPtc) upon G1519 the mount G3735 of Olives G1636 over against G2713 the temple G2411, Peter G4074 and G2532 James G2385 and G2532 John G2491 and G2532 Andrew G406 asked G1905 (ImpfActInd) him G846 privately G2596 G2398,
[4] Tell G2036 (Aor2ActImpr) us G2254, when G4219 shall these things G5023 be G2071 (FutInd)? and G2532 what G5101 [shall be] the sign G4592 when G3752 all G3956 these things G5023 shall G3195 (PresActSubj) be fulfilled G4931 (PresPasInf)?
[5] And G1161 Jesus G2424 answering G611 (AorPasDepPtc) them G846 began G756 (AorMidDepInd) to say G3004 (PresActInf), Take heed G991 (PresActImpr) lest G3361 any G5100 [man] deceive G4105 (AorActSubj) you G5209:
[6] For G1063 many G4183 shall come G2064 (FutMidDepInd) in G1909 my G3450 name G3686, saying G3004 (PresActPtc), G3754 I G1473 am G1510 (PresInd) [Christ]; and G2532 shall deceive G4105 (FutActInd) many G4183.
[7] And G1161 when G3752 ye shall hear G191 (AorActSubj) of wars G4171 and G2532 rumours G189 of wars G4171, be ye G2360 not G3361 troubled G2360 (PresPasImpr): for G1063 [such things] must G1163 (PresInd) needs be G1096 (Aor2MidDepInf); but G235 the end G5056 [shall] not [be] yet G3768.
[8] For G1063 nation G1484 shall rise G1453 (FutPasInd) against G1909 nation G1484, and G2532 kingdom G932 against G1909 kingdom G932: and G2532 there shall be G2071 (FutInd) earthquakes G4578 in divers G2596 places G5117, and G2532 there shall be G2071 (FutInd) famines G3042 and G2532 troubles G5016: these G5023 [are] the beginnings G746 of sorrows G5604.
[9] But G1161 take heed G5210 G991 (PresActImpr) to yourselves G1438: for G1063 they shall deliver G3860 you G5209 up G3860 (FutActInd) to G1519 councils G4892; and G2532 in G1519 the synagogues G4864 ye shall be beaten G1194 (Fut2PasInd): and G2532 ye shall be brought G2476 (FutPasInd) G71 (FutPasInd) before G1909 rulers G2232 and G2532 kings G935 for my G1700 sake G1752, for G1519 a testimony G3142 against them G846.
[10] And G2532 the gospel G2098 must G1163 (PresInd) first G4412 be published G2784 (AorPasInf) among G1519 all G3956 nations G1484.
[11] But G1161 when G3752 they shall lead G71 (Aor2ActSubj) [you], and deliver G3860 you G5209 up G3860 (PresActPtc), take G4305 no G3361 thought beforehand G4305 (PresActImpr) what G5101 ye shall speak G2980 (AorActSubj), neither G3366 do ye premeditate G3191 (PresActImpr): but G235 whatsoever G3739 shall be G1437 given G1325 (AorPasSubj) you G5213 in G1722 that G1565 hour G5610, that G5124 speak G2980 (PresActImpr) ye: for G1063 it is G2075 (PresInd) not G3756 ye G5210 that speak G2980 (PresActPtc), but G235 the Holy G40 Ghost G4151.
[12] Now G1161 the brother G80 shall betray G3860 (FutActInd) the brother G80 to G1519 death G2288, and G2532 the father G3962 the son G5043; and G2532 children G5043 shall rise up G1881 (FutMidDepInd) against G1909 [their] parents G1118, and G2532 shall cause G2289 them G846 to be put to death G2289 (FutActInd).
[13] And G2532 ye shall be G2071 (FutInd) hated G3404 (PresPasPtc) of G5259 all G3956 [men] for G1223 my G3450 name’s sake G1223 G3686: but G1161 he that shall endure G5278 (AorActPtc) unto G1519 the end G5056, the same G3778 shall be saved G4982 (FutPasInd).
[14] But G1161 when G3752 ye shall see G1492 (Aor2ActSubj) the abomination G946 of desolation G2050, spoken G4483 (AorPasPtc) of by G5259 Daniel G1158 the prophet G4396, standing G2476 (Perf2ActPtc) G2476 (PerfActPtc) where G3699 it ought G1163 (PresInd) not G3756, (let him that readeth G314 (PresActPtc) understand G3539 (PresActImpr),) then G5119 let them G5343 that be in G1722 Judaea G2449 flee G5343 (PresActImpr) to G1519 the mountains G3735:
[15] And G1161 let him G2597 that is on G1909 the housetop G1430 not G3361 go down G2597 (Aor2ActImpr) into G1519 the house G3614, neither G3366 enter G1525 (Aor2ActImpr) [therein], to take G142 (AorActInf) any thing G5100 out of G1537 his G846 house G3614:
[16] And G2532 let G1994 him that is G5607 (PresPtc) in G1519 the field G68 not G3361 turn G1519 G1994 back G3694 again G1994 (AorActImpr) for to take up G142 (AorActInf) his G846 garment G2440.
[17] But G1161 woe G3759 to them that are G2192 (PresActPtc) with G1722 child G1064, and G2532 to them that give suck G2337 (PresActPtc) in G1722 those G1565 days G2250!
[18] And G1161 pray ye G4336 (PresMidPasDepImpr) that G3363 your G5216 flight G5437 be G1096 (Aor2MidDepSubj) not G3363 in the winter G5494.
[19] For G1063 [in] those G1565 days G2250 shall be G2071 (FutInd) affliction G2347, such G5108 as G3634 was G1096 (Perf2ActInd) not G3756 from G575 the beginning G746 of the creation G2937 which G3739 God G2316 created G2936 (AorActInd) unto G2193 this time G3568, neither G2532 G3364 shall be G1096 (Aor2MidDepSubj).
[20] And G2532 except G1508 that the Lord G2962 had shortened G2856 (AorActInd) those days G2250, no G3756 G3956 flesh G4561 should be G302 saved G4982 (AorPasInd): but G235 for G1223 the elect’s sake G1588, whom G3739 he hath chosen G1586 (AorMidInd), he hath shortened G2856 (AorActInd) the days G2250.
[21] And G2532 then G5119 if G1437 any man G5100 shall say G2036 (Aor2ActSubj) to you G5213, Lo G2400 (Aor2ActImpr), here G5602 [is] Christ G5547; or G2228, lo G2400 (Aor2ActImpr), [he is] there G1563; believe G4100 (AorActSubj) [him] not G3361:
[22] For G1063 false Christs G5580 and G2532 false prophets G5578 shall rise G1453 (FutPasInd), and G2532 shall shew G1325 (FutActInd) signs G4592 and G2532 wonders G5059, to G4314 seduce G635 (PresActInf), if G1487 [it were] possible G1415, even G2532 the elect G1588.
[23] But G1161 take G991 ye G5210 heed G991 (PresActImpr): behold G2400 (Aor2ActImpr), I have foretold G4280 (PerfActInd) you G5213 all things G3956.
[24] But G235 in G1722 those G1565 days G2250, after G3326 that G1565 tribulation G2347, the sun G2246 shall be darkened G4654 (FutPasInd), and G2532 the moon G4582 shall G1325 not G3756 give G1325 (FutActInd) her G846 light G5338,
[25] And G2532 the stars G792 of heaven G3772 shall G2071 (FutInd) fall G1601 (PresActPtc), and G2532 the powers G1411 that are in G1722 heaven G3772 shall be shaken G4531 (FutPasInd).
[26] And G2532 then G5119 shall they see G3700 (FutMidDepInd) the Son G5207 of man G444 coming G2064 (PresMidPasDepPtc) in G1722 the clouds G3507 with G3326 great G4183 power G1411 and G2532 glory G1391.
[27] And G2532 then G5119 shall he send G649 (FutActInd) his G846 angels G32, and G2532 shall gather together G1996 (FutActInd) his G846 elect G1588 from G1537 the four G5064 winds G417, from G575 the uttermost part G206 of the earth G1093 to G2193 the uttermost part G206 of heaven G3772.
[28] Now G1161 learn G3129 (Aor2ActImpr) a parable G3850 of G575 the fig tree G4808; When G3752 her G846 branch G2798 is G1096 (Aor2MidDepSubj) yet G2235 tender G527, and G2532 putteth forth G1631 (PresActSubj) leaves G5444, ye know G1097 (PresActInd) that G3754 summer G2330 is G2076 (PresInd) near G1451:
[29] So G3779 ye G5210 in like manner G2532, when G3752 ye shall see G1492 (Aor2ActSubj) these things G5023 come to pass G1096 (PresMidPasDepPtc), know G1097 (PresActImpr) that G3754 it is G2076 (PresInd) nigh G1451, [even] at G1909 the doors G2374.
[30] Verily G281 I say G3004 (PresActInd) unto you G5213, that G3754 this G3778 generation G1074 shall G3928 not G3364 pass G3928 (Aor2ActSubj), till G3360 G3739 all G3956 these things G5023 be done G1096 (Aor2MidDepSubj).
[31] Heaven G3772 and G2532 earth G1093 shall pass away G3928 (FutMidDepInd): but G1161 my G3450 words G3056 shall G3928 not G3364 pass away G3928 (Aor2ActSubj).
[32] But G1161 of G4012 that G1565 day G2250 and G2532 [that] hour G5610 knoweth G1492 (PerfActInd) no man G3762, no, not G3761 the angels G32 which G3588 are in G1722 heaven G3772, neither G3761 the Son G5207, but G1508 the Father G3962.
[33] Take ye heed G991 (PresActImpr), watch G69 (PresActImpr) and G2532 pray G4336 (PresMidPasDepImpr): for G1063 ye know G1492 (PerfActInd) not G3756 when G4219 the time G2540 is G2076 (PresInd).
[34] [For the Son of man is] as G5613 a man G444 taking a far journey G590, who left G863 (Aor2ActPtc) his G846 house G3614, and G2532 gave G1325 (Aor2ActPtc) authority G1849 to his G846 servants G1401, and G2532 to every man G1538 his G846 work G2041, and G2532 commanded G1781 (AorMidDepInd) the porter G2377 to G2443 watch G1127 (PresActSubj).
[35] Watch ye G1127 (PresActImpr) therefore G3767: for G1063 ye know G1492 (PerfActInd) not G3756 when G4219 the master G2962 of the house G3614 cometh G2064 (PresMidPasDepInd), at even G3796, or G2228 at midnight G3317, or G2228 at the cockcrowing G219, or G2228 in the morning G4404:
[36] Lest G3361 coming G2064 (Aor2ActPtc) suddenly G1810 he find G2147 (Aor2ActSubj) you G5209 sleeping G2518 (PresActPtc).
[37] And G1161 what G3739 I say G3004 (PresActInd) unto you G5213 I say G3004 (PresActInd) unto all G3956, Watch G1127 (PresActImpr).

Young’s Literal Translation

Mark 13 (YLT)

[1] And as he is going forth out of the temple, one of his disciples saith to him, ‘Teacher, see! what stones! and what buildings!’
[2] and Jesus answering said to him, ‘Seest thou these great buildings? there may not be left a stone upon a stone, that may not be thrown down.’
[3] And as he is sitting at the mount of the Olives, over-against the temple, Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, were questioning him by himself,
[4] ‘Tell us when these things shall be? and what is the sign when all these may be about to be fulfilled?’
[5] And Jesus answering them, began to say, ‘Take heed lest any one may lead you astray,
[6] for many shall come in my name, saying-I am he, and many they shall lead astray;
[7] and when ye may hear of wars and reports of wars, be not troubled, for these behove to be, but the end is not yet;
[8] for nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles; beginnings of sorrows are these.
[9] ‘And take ye heed to yourselves, for they shall deliver you up to sanhedrims, and to synagogues, ye shall be beaten, and before governors and kings ye shall be set for my sake, for a testimony to them;
[10] and to all the nations it behoveth first that the good news be proclaimed.
[11] ‘And when they may lead you, delivering up, be not anxious beforehand what ye may speak, nor premeditate, but whatever may be given to you in that hour, that speak ye, for it is not ye who are speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
[12] ‘And brother shall deliver up brother to death, and father child, and children shall rise up against parents, and shall put them to death,
[13] and ye shall be hated by all because of my name, but he who hath endured to the end-he shall be saved.
[14] ‘And when ye may see the abomination of the desolation, that was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (whoever is reading let him understand), then those in Judea, let them flee to the mountains;
[15] and he upon the house-top, let him not come down to the house, nor come in to take anything out of his house;
[16] and he who is in the field, let him not turn to the things behind, to take up his garment.
[17] ‘And woe to those with child, and to those giving suck, in those days;
[18] and pray ye that your flight may not be in winter,
[19] for those days shall be tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the creation that God created, till now, and may not be;
[20] and if the Lord did not shorten the days, no flesh had been saved; but because of the chosen, whom He did choose to Himself, He did shorten the days.
[21] ‘And then, if any may say to you, Lo, here is the Christ, or, Lo, there, ye may not believe;
[22] for there shall rise false Christs and false prophets, and they shall give signs and wonders, to seduce, if possible, also the chosen;
[23] and ye, take heed; lo, I have foretold you all things.
[24] ‘But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
[25] and the stars of the heaven shall be falling, and the powers that are in the heavens shall be shaken.
[26] ‘And then they shall see the Son of Man coming in clouds with much power and glory,
[27] and then he shall send his messengers, and gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the end of the earth unto the end of heaven.
[28] ‘And from the fig-tree learn ye the simile: when the branch may already become tender, and may put forth the leaves, ye know that nigh is the summer;
[29] so ye, also, when these ye may see coming to pass, ye know that it is nigh, at the doors.
[30] Verily I say to you, that this generation may not pass away till all these things may come to pass;
[31] the heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
[32] ‘And concerning that day and the hour no one hath known-not even the messengers who are in the heaven, not even the Son-except the Father.
[33] Take heed, watch and pray, for ye have not known when the time is;
[34] as a man who is gone abroad, having left his house, and given to his servants the authority, and to each one his work, did command also the porter that he may watch;
[35] watch ye, therefore, for ye have not known when the lord of the house doth come, at even, or at midnight, or at cock-crowing, or at the morning;
[36] lest, having come suddenly, he may find you sleeping;
[37] and what I say to you, I say to all, Watch.’
