τοτε οψη και φοβηθηση και εκστηση τη καρδια οτι μεταβαλει εις σε πλουτος θαλασσης και εθνων και λαων και ηξουσιν σοι

Your gates also shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night, that men may bring to you the wealth of the nations, and their kings led captive.

But you will be called Yahweh’s priests. Men will call you the servants of our God. You will eat the wealth of the nations. You will boast in their glory.

I will give your substance and your treasures for a plunder without price, and that for all your sins, even in all your borders.

when the king of Babylon’s army was fighting against Jerusalem and against all the cities of Judah that were left, against Lachish and against Azekah; for these alone remained of the cities of Judah as fortified cities.

^[41:7] και η δυναμις βασιλεως βαβυλωνος επολεμει επι ιερουσαλημ και επι τας πολεις ιουδα επι λαχις και επι αζηκα οτι αυται κατελειφθησαν εν πολεσιν ιουδα πολεις οχυραι

“I will give Zedekiah king of Judah and his princes into the hands of their enemies, into the hands of those who seek their life and into the hands of the king of Babylon’s army, who has gone away from you.

And Zedekiah H6667 king H4428 of Judah H3063 and his princes H8269 will I give H5414 (QalImpf) into the hand H3027 of their enemies, H341 (QalActPtc) and into the hand H3027 of them that seek H1245 (PielPtc) their life, H5315 and into the hand H3027 of the king H4428 of Babylon’s H894 army, H2428 which are gone up H5927 (QalActPtc) from you.

^[41:21] και τον σεδεκιαν βασιλεα της ιουδαιας και τους αρχοντας αυτων δωσω εις χειρας εχθρων αυτων και δυναμις βασιλεως βαβυλωνος τοις αποτρεχουσιν απ αυτων

But when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, we said, ‘Come! Let’s go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians; so we will dwell at Jerusalem.’ ”

But it came to pass, when Nebuchadrezzar H5019 king H4428 of Babylon H894 came up H5927 (QalInf) into the land, H776 that we said, H559 (QalImpf) Come, H935 (QalImpv) and let us go H935 (QalImpf) to Jerusalem H3389 for fear H6440 of the army H2428 of the Chaldeans, H3778 and for fear H6440 of the army H2428 of the Syrians: H758 so we dwell H3427 (QalImpf) at Jerusalem. ^[42:11] και εγενηθη οτε ανεβη ναβουχοδονοσορ επι την γην και ειπαμεν εισελθατε και εισελθωμεν εις ιερουσαλημ απο προσωπου της δυναμεως των χαλδαιων και απο προσωπου της δυναμεως των ασσυριων και ωκουμεν εκει

Pharaoh’s army had come out of Egypt; and when the Chaldeans who were besieging Jerusalem heard news of them, they withdrew from Jerusalem.

Then Pharaoh’s H6547 army H2428 was come forth H3318 (QalPerf) out of Egypt: H4714 and when the Chaldeans H3778 that besieged H6696 (QalActPtc) Jerusalem H3389 heard H8085 (QalImpf) tidings H8088 of them, they departed H5927 (NiphImpf) from Jerusalem. H3389

^[44:5] και δυναμις φαραω εξηλθεν εξ αιγυπτου και ηκουσαν οι χαλδαιοι την ακοην αυτων και ανεβησαν απο ιερουσαλημ

“Yahweh, the God of Israel, says, ‘You shall tell the king of Judah, who sent you to me to inquire of me: “Behold, Pharaoh’s army, which has come out to help you, will return to Egypt into their own land.

Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord, H3068 the God H430 of Israel; H3478 Thus shall ye say H559 (QalImpf) to the king H4428 of Judah, H3063 that sent H7971 (QalActPtc) you unto me to enquire H1875 (QalInf) of me; Behold, Pharaoh’s H6547 army, H2428 which is come forth H3318 (QalActPtc) to help H5833 you, shall return H7725 (QalPerf) to Egypt H4714 into their own land. ^[44:7] ουτως ειπεν κυριος ουτως ερεις προς βασιλεα ιουδα τον αποστειλαντα προς σε του εκζητησαι με ιδου δυναμις φαραω η εξελθουσα υμιν εις βοηθειαν αποστρεψουσιν εις γην αιγυπτου

For though you had struck the whole army of the Chaldeans who fight against you, and only wounded men remained among them, they would each rise up in his tent and burn this city with fire.’ ”

^[44:10] και εαν παταξητε πασαν δυναμιν των χαλδαιων τους πολεμουντας υμας και καταλειφθωσιν τινες εκκεκεντημενοι εκαστος εν τω τοπω αυτου ουτοι αναστησονται και καυσουσιν την πολιν ταυτην εν πυρι

When the army of the Chaldeans had withdrawn from Jerusalem for fear of Pharaoh’s army,

And it came to pass, that when the army H2428 of the Chaldeans H3778 was broken up H5927 (NiphInf) from Jerusalem H3389 for fear H6440 of Pharaoh’s H6547 army, H2428

^[44:11] και εγενετο οτε ανεβη η δυναμις των χαλδαιων απο ιερουσαλημ απο προσωπου της δυναμεως φαραω

Yahweh says, ‘This city will surely be given into the hand of the army of the king of Babylon, and he will take it.’ ”

Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord, H3068 This city H5892 shall surely H5414 (NiphInf) be given H5414 (NiphImpf) into the hand H3027 of the king H4428 of Babylon’s H894 army, H2428 which shall take H3920 (QalPerf) it.

^[45:3] οτι ουτως ειπεν κυριος παραδιδομενη παραδοθησεται η πολις αυτη εις χειρας δυναμεως βασιλεως βαβυλωνος και συλλημψεται αυτην

In the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army came against Jerusalem, and besieged it.

In the ninth H8671 year H8141 of Zedekiah H6667 king H4428 of Judah, H3063 in the tenth H6224 month, H2320 came H935 (QalPerf) Nebuchadrezzar H5019 king H4428 of Babylon H894 and all his army H2428 against Jerusalem, H3389 and they besieged H6696 (QalImpf) it.

^[46:1] και εγενετο εν τω ετει τω ενατω του σεδεκια βασιλεως ιουδα εν τω μηνι τω δεκατω παρεγενετο ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλευς βαβυλωνος και πασα η δυναμις αυτου επι ιερουσαλημ και επολιορκουν αυτην

But the army of the Chaldeans pursued them, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho. When they had taken him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; and he pronounced judgment on him.

But the Chaldeans’ H3778 army H2428 pursued H7291 (QalImpf) after H310 them, and overtook H5381 (HiphImpf) Zedekiah H6667 in the plains H6160 of Jericho: H3405 and when they had taken H3947 (QalImpf) him, they brought him up H5927 (HiphImpf) to Nebuchadnezzar H5019 king H4428 of Babylon H894 to Riblah H7247 in the land H776 of Hamath, H2574 where he gave H1696 (PielImpf) judgment H4941 upon him.

Now when all the captains of the forces who were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed to him men, women, children, and of the poorest of the land, of those who were not carried away captive to Babylon,

Now when all the captains H8269 of the forces H2428 which [were] in the fields, H7704 [even] they and their men, H582 heard H8085 (QalImpf) that the king H4428 of Babylon H894 had made Gedaliah H1436 the son H1121 of Ahikam H296 governor H6485 (HiphPerf) in the land, H776 and had committed H6485 (HiphPerf) unto him men, H582 and women, H802 and children, H2945 and of the poor H1803 of the land, H776 of them that were not carried away captive H1540 (HophPerf) to Babylon; H894

Moreover Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were in the fields, came to Gedaliah to Mizpah,

^[47:13] και ιωαναν υιος καρηε και παντες οι ηγεμονες της δυναμεως οι εν τοις αγροις ηλθον προς γοδολιαν εις μασσηφα

But when Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were with him, heard of all the evil that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had done,

But when Johanan H3110 the son H1121 of Kareah, H7143 and all the captains H8269 of the forces H2428 that [were] with him, heard H8085 (QalImpf) of all the evil H7451 that Ishmael H3458 the son H1121 of Nethaniah H5418 had done, H6213 (QalPerf)

Now when all the people who were with Ishmael saw Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were with him, then they were glad.

Now it came to pass, [that] when all the people H5971 which [were] with Ishmael H3458 saw H7200 (QalInf) Johanan H3110 the son H1121 of Kareah, H7143 and all the captains H8269 of the forces H2428 that [were] with him, then they were glad. H8055 (QalImpf)

Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even to the greatest, came near,

^[49:1] και προσηλθον παντες οι ηγεμονες της δυναμεως και ιωαναν και αζαριας υιος μαασαιου και πας ο λαος απο μικρου εως μεγαλου

Then he called Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were with him, and all the people from the least even to the greatest,

So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, didn’t obey Yahweh’s voice, to dwell in the land of Judah.

^[50:4] και ουκ ηκουσεν ιωαναν και παντες οι ηγεμονες της δυναμεως και πας ο λαος της φωνης κυριου κατοικησαι εν γη ιουδα

But Johanan the son of Kareah and all the captains of the forces took all the remnant of Judah, who had returned from all the nations where they had been driven, to live in the land of Judah—

Of Egypt: concerning the army of Pharaoh Necoh king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates in Carchemish, which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon struck in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah.

και εγενετο εν τω ετει τω ενατω της βασιλειας αυτου εν μηνι τω δεκατω δεκατη του μηνος ηλθεν ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλευς βαβυλωνος και πασα η δυναμις αυτου επι ιερουσαλημ και περιεχαρακωσαν αυτην και περιωκοδομησαν αυτην τετραπεδοις λιθοις κυκλω

but the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.
