so is my word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do.

So is My word that goeth out of My mouth, It turneth not back unto Me empty, But hath done that which I desired, And prosperously effected that for which I sent it.

Those who will be of you will build the old waste places. You will raise up the foundations of many generations. You will be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Paths with Dwellings.

And they have built out of thee the wastes of old, The foundations of many generations thou raisest up, And one calleth thee, ‘Repairer of the breach, Restorer of paths to rest in.’

“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy of Yahweh honorable, and honor it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,

If thou dost turn from the sabbath thy foot, Doing thine own pleasure on My holy day, And hast cried to the sabbath, ‘A delight,’ To the holy of Jehovah, ‘Honoured,’ And hast honoured it, without doing thine own ways, Without finding thine own pleasure, And speaking a word.

“A Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from disobedience in Jacob,” says Yahweh.

O Yahweh, why do you make us wander from your ways, and harden our heart from your fear? Return for your servants’ sake, the tribes of your inheritance.

Why causest Thou us to wander, O Jehovah, from Thy ways? Thou hardenest our heart from Thy fear, Turn back for Thy servants’ sake, The tribes of Thine inheritance.

For, behold, Yahweh will come with fire, and his chariots will be like the whirlwind; to render his anger with fierceness, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

a wild donkey used to the wilderness, that sniffs the wind in her craving. When she is in heat, who can turn her away? All those who seek her will not weary themselves. In her month, they will find her.

“They say, ‘If a man puts away his wife, and she goes from him, and becomes another man’s, should he return to her again?’ Wouldn’t that land be greatly polluted? But you have played the prostitute with many lovers; yet return again to me,” says Yahweh.

Saying, ‘Lo, one sendeth away his wife, And she hath gone from him, And she hath been to another man, Doth he turn back unto her again? Greatly defiled is not that land? And thou hast committed whoredom with many lovers, And turn again to Me, an affirmation of Jehovah.

I said after she had done all these things, ‘She will return to me;’ but she didn’t return, and her treacherous sister Judah saw it.

Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, ‘Return, you backsliding Israel,’ says Yahweh; ‘I will not look in anger on you, for I am merciful,’ says Yahweh. ‘I will not keep anger forever.

Go, and thou hast proclaimed these words toward the north, and hast said, Turn back, O backsliding Israel, An affirmation of Jehovah! I cause not Mine anger to fall upon you, For I am kind, an affirmation of Jehovah, I watch not to the age.

“Return, backsliding children,” says Yahweh, “for I am a husband to you. I will take one of you from a city, and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion.

Turn back, O backsliding sons, An affirmation of Jehovah. For I have ruled over you, And taken you one of a city, and two of a family, And have brought you to Zion,

“But I said, ‘How I desire to put you among the children, and give you a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the armies of the nations!’ and I said, ‘You shall call me “My Father”, and shall not turn away from following me.’

And I have said, How do I put thee among the sons, And give to thee a desirable land, A beauteous inheritance of the hosts of nations, And I say, My father-ye do call to Me, And from after Me ye do not turn back.

Return, you backsliding children, and I will heal your backsliding. “Behold, we have come to you; for you are Yahweh our God.

Turn back, O backsliding sons, I cause your backslidings to cease. -Behold us, we have come to Thee, For Thou art Jehovah our God.

“If you will return, Israel,” says Yahweh, “if you will return to me, and if you will put away your abominations out of my sight; then you will not be removed;

If thou dost turn back, O Israel, An affirmation of Jehovah, unto Me turn back, And if thou dost turn aside Thine abominations from My face, Then thou dost not bemoan.

For this, clothe yourself with sackcloth, lament and wail; for the fierce anger of Yahweh hasn’t turned back from us.

For this the earth will mourn, and the heavens above be black, because I have spoken it. I have planned it, and I have not repented, neither will I turn back from it.”

For this doth the land mourn, And black have been the heavens above, because I have spoken-I have purposed, And I have not repented, Nor do I turn back from it.

O Yahweh, don’t your eyes look on truth? You have stricken them, but they were not grieved. You have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction. They have made their faces harder than a rock. They have refused to return.

O Lord, H3068 [are] not thine eyes H5869 upon the truth? Jehovah, Thine eyes, are they not on stedfastness? Thou hast smitten them, and they have not grieved, Thou hast consumed them, They have refused to receive instruction, They made their faces harder than a rock, They have refused to turn back.

Yahweh of Armies says, “They will thoroughly glean the remnant of Israel like a vine. Turn again your hand as a grape gatherer into the baskets.”

Thus said Jehovah of Hosts: They surely glean, as a vine, the remnant of Israel, Put back thy hand, as a gatherer to the baskets.

“Moreover you shall tell them, ‘Yahweh says: “ ‘Do men fall, and not rise up again? Does one turn away, and not return?

And thou hast said unto them: Thus said Jehovah, Do they fall, and not rise? Doth he turn back, and not return?

Why then have the people of Jerusalem fallen back by a perpetual backsliding? They cling to deceit. They refuse to return.

Why [then] is this people H5971 of Jerusalem H3389 slidden back H7725 (PolePerf) by a perpetual H5329 (NiphPtc) backsliding? H4878 they hold H2388 (HiphPerf) fast deceit, H8649 they refuse H3985 (PielPerf) to return. H7725 (QalInf)

Wherefore hath this people of Jerusalem Turned back-a perpetual backsliding? They have kept hold on deceit, They have refused to turn back.

I listened and heard, but they didn’t say what is right. No one repents of his wickedness, saying, “What have I done?” Everyone turns to his course, as a horse that rushes headlong in the battle.

I have given attention, yea, I hearken, They do not speak right, No man hath repented of his wickedness, Saying, What have I done? Every one hath turned to his courses, As a horse is rushing into battle.

They have turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, who refused to hear my words. They have gone after other gods to serve them. The house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.

They have turned back to the iniquities of their first fathers, Who refused to hear My words, And they have gone after other gods to serve them, The house of Israel, and the house of Judah, Have made void My covenant, that I made with their fathers.

It will happen that after I have plucked them up, I will return and have compassion on them. I will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land.

And it shall come to pass, after H310 that I have plucked them out H5428 (QalInf) I will return, H7725 (QalImpf) and have compassion H7355 (PielPerf) on them, and will bring them again, H7725 (HiphPerf) every man H376 to his heritage, H5159 and every man H376 to his land. H776

And it hath been, after My plucking them out, I turn back, and have pitied them, And I have brought them back, Each to his inheritance, and each to his land.

Their nobles send their little ones to the waters. They come to the cisterns, and find no water. They return with their vessels empty. They are disappointed and confounded, and cover their heads.

And their honourable ones have sent their little ones to the water, They have come unto ditches, They have not found water, They have turned back-their vessels empty! They have been ashamed, And have blushed and covered their head.

I have winnowed them with a fan in the gates of the land. I have bereaved them of children. I have destroyed my people. They didn’t return from their ways.

Therefore Yahweh says, “If you return, then I will bring you again, that you may stand before me; and if you take out the precious from the vile, you will be as my mouth. They will return to you, but you will not return to them.

Therefore thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord, H3068 If thou return, H7725 (QalImpf) then will I bring thee again, H7725 (HiphImpf) [and] thou shalt stand H5975 (QalImpf) before H6440 me: and if thou take forth H3318 (HiphImpf) the precious H3368 from the vile, H2151 (QalActPtc) thou shalt be as my mouth: H6310 let them return H7725 (QalImpf) unto thee; but return H7725 (QalImpf) not thou unto them.

Therefore, thus said Jehovah: If thou turnest back, then I bring thee back, Before Me thou dost stand, And if thou bringest out the precious from the vile, As My mouth thou art! They-they turn back unto thee, And thou dost not turn back unto them.

but, ‘As Yahweh lives, who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the countries where he had driven them.’ I will bring them again into their land that I gave to their fathers.

But, The Lord H3068 liveth, H2416 that brought up H5927 (HiphPerf) the children H1121 of Israel H3478 from the land H776 of the north, H6828 and from all the lands H776 whither he had driven H5080 (HiphPerf) them: and I will bring them again H7725 (HiphPerf) into their land H127 that I gave H5414 (QalPerf) unto their fathers. But, ‘Jehovah liveth, who brought up The sons of Israel out of the land of the north, And out of all the lands whither He drove them,’ And I have brought them back to their land, That I gave to their fathers.

When the vessel that he made of the clay was marred in the hand of the potter, he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

and marred is the vessel that he is making, as clay in the hand of the potter, and he hath turned and he maketh it another vessel, as it was right in the eyes of the potter to make.

if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do to them.

And that nation hath turned from its evil, Because I have spoken against it, Then I have repented of the evil that I thought to do to it.

“Now therefore, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, ‘Yahweh says: “Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a plan against you. Everyone return from his evil way now, and amend your ways and your doings.” ’

And now, speak, I pray thee, unto men of Judah, And against inhabitants of Jerusalem, Saying: Thus said Jehovah: Lo, I am framing against you evil, And devising against you a device, Turn back, I pray you, each from his evil way And amend your ways and your doings.

Should evil be recompensed for good? For they have dug a pit for my soul. Remember how I stood before you to speak good for them, to turn away your wrath from them.

Is evil recompensed instead of good, That they have dug a pit for my soul? Remember my standing before Thee to speak good of them, To turn back Thy wrath from them.

Don’t weep for the dead. Don’t bemoan him; but weep bitterly for him who goes away, for he will return no more, and not see his native country.

Ye do not weep for the dead, nor bemoan for him, Weep ye sore for the traveller, For he doth not return again, Nor hath he seen the land of his birth.

For Yahweh says touching Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, and who went out of this place: “He won’t return there any more.

For thus said Jehovah concerning Shallum son of Josiah king of Judah, who is reigning instead of Josiah his father, who hath gone forth from this place: He doth not turn back hither again;

But to the land to which their soul longs to return, there they will not return.”

And to the land whither they are lifting up their soul to return, Thither they do not return.

“I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they will be fruitful and multiply.

In the prophets of Jerusalem I have also seen a horrible thing: they commit adultery and walk in lies. They strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one returns from his wickedness. They have all become to me as Sodom, and its inhabitants as Gomorrah.”

I have seen H7200 (QalPerf) also in the prophets H5030 of Jerusalem H3389 an horrible thing: H8186 they commit adultery, H5003 (QalInf) and walk H1980 (QalInf) in lies: H8267 they strengthen H2388 (PielPerf) also the hands H3027 of evildoers, H7489 (HiphPtc) that none H376 doth return H7725 (QalPerf) from his wickedness: H7451 they are all of them unto me as Sodom, H5467 and the inhabitants H3427 (QalActPtc) thereof as Gomorrah. H6017

And in prophets of Jerusalem I have seen a horrible thing, Committing adultery, and walking falsely, Yea, they strengthened the hands of evil doers, So that they have not turned back Each from his wickedness, They have been to me-all of them-as Sodom, And its inhabitants as Gomorrah.

Yahweh’s anger will not return until he has executed and performed the intents of his heart. In the latter days, you will understand it perfectly.

The anger H639 of the Lord H3068 shall not return, H7725 (QalImpf) until he have executed, H6213 (QalInf) and till he have performed H6965 (HiphInf) the thoughts H4209 of his heart: H3820 in the latter H319 days H3117 ye shall consider H995 (HiplImpf) it perfectly. H998

The anger of Jehovah doth not turn back Till His doing, and till His establishing, The thoughts of His heart, In the latter end of the days ye attend to it With understanding.

But if they had stood in my council, then they would have caused my people to hear my words, and would have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.

But if they had stood H5975 (QalPerf) in my counsel, H5475 and had caused my people H5971 to hear H8085 (HiphImpf) my words, H1697 then they should have turned H7725 (HiphImpf) them from their evil H7451 way, H1870 and from the evil H7455 of their doings. H4611

But-if they stood in My counsel, Then they cause My people to hear My words, And they turn them back from their evil way, And from the evil of their doings.

For I will set my eyes on them for good, and I will bring them again to this land. I will build them, and not pull them down. I will plant them, and not pluck them up.

And I have set Mine eyes on them for good, And have brought them back to this land, And built them up, and I throw not down, And have planted them, and pluck not up.

I will give them a heart to know me, that I am Yahweh. They will be my people, and I will be their God; for they will return to me with their whole heart.

And have given to them a heart to know Me, For I am Jehovah, And they have been to Me for a people, And I am to them for God, For they turned back unto Me with all their heart.

saying, “Return now everyone from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that Yahweh has given to you and to your fathers, from of old and even forever more.

‘Turn back, I pray you, each from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell on the ground that Jehovah hath given to you and to your fathers from age unto age,

It may be they will listen, and every man turn from his evil way, that I may relent from the evil which I intend to do to them because of the evil of their doings.’ ”

If so be they will hearken, H8085 (QalImpf) and turn H7725 (QalImpf) every man H376 from his evil H7451 way, H1870 that I may repent H5162 (NiphPerf) me of the evil, H7451 which I purpose H2803 (QalActPtc) to do H6213 (QalInf) unto them because H6440 of the evil H7455 of their doings. H4611

If so be they hearken, and turn back each from his evil way, then I have repented concerning the evil that I am thinking of doing to them, because of the evil of their doings.

Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, Yahweh says, “Don’t listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying, ‘Behold, the vessels of Yahweh’s house will now shortly be brought again from Babylon;’ for they prophesy a lie to you.

And unto the priests, and unto all this people, I have spoken, saying, ‘Thus said Jehovah, Ye do not hearken unto the words of your prophets, who are prophesying to you, saying, Lo, the vessels of the house of Jehovah are brought back from Babylon now in haste, for falsehood they are prophesying to you.

‘They will be carried to Babylon, and there they will be, until the day that I visit them,’ says Yahweh; ‘then I will bring them up, and restore them to this place.’ ”

To Babylon they are brought, and there they are till the day of My inspecting them-an affirmation of Jehovah; then I have brought them up, and have brought them back unto this place.’

Within two full years I will bring again into this place all the vessels of Yahweh’s house that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place and carried to Babylon.

Within two full H3117 years H8141 will I bring again H7725 (HiphPtc) into this place H4725 all the vessels H3627 of the Lord’s H3068 house, H1004 that Nebuchadnezzar H5019 king H4428 of Babylon H894 took away H3947 (QalPerf) from this place, H4725 and carried H935 (HiphImpf) them to Babylon: H894

Within two years of days I am bringing back unto this place all the vessels of the house of Jehovah that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon hath taken from this place, and doth carry to Babylon,

I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, who went to Babylon,’ says Yahweh; ‘for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.’ ”

And I will bring again H7725 (HiphPtc) to this place H4725 Jeconiah H3204 the son H1121 of Jehoiakim H3079 king H4428 of Judah, H3063 with all the captives H1546 of Judah, H3063 that went H935 (QalActPtc) into Babylon, H894 saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord: H3068 for I will break H7665 (QalImpf) the yoke H5923 of the king H4428 of Babylon. And Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and all the removed of Judah, who are entering Babylon, I am bringing back unto this place-an affirmation of Jehovah; for I do break the yoke of the king of Babylon.’

even the prophet Jeremiah said, “Amen! May Yahweh do so. May Yahweh perform your words which you have prophesied, to bring again the vessels of Yahweh’s house, and all those who are captives, from Babylon to this place.

Even the prophet H5030 Jeremiah H3414 said, H559 (QalImpf) Amen: H543 the Lord H3068 do H6213 (QalImpf) so: the Lord H3068 perform H6965 (HiphImpf) thy words H1697 which thou hast prophesied, H5012 (NiphPerf) to bring again H7725 (HiphInf) the vessels H3627 of the Lord’s H3068 house, H1004 and all that is carried away captive, H1473 from Babylon H894 into this place. Yea, Jeremiah the prophet saith, ‘Amen! so may Jehovah do; Jehovah establish thy words that thou hast prophesied, to bring back the vessels of the house of Jehovah and all the removal from Babylon, unto this place.
