For you shall not go out in haste, neither shall you go by flight; for Yahweh will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

For not in haste do ye go out, Yea, with flight ye go not on, For going before you is Jehovah, And gathering you is the God of Israel!

“Behold, I have created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame, and forges a weapon for his work; and I have created the destroyer to destroy.

Lo, I-I have prepared an artisan, Blowing on a fire of coals, And bringing out an instrument for his work, And I have prepared a destroyer to destroy.

so is my word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do.

So shall my word H1697 be that goeth forth H3318 (QalImpf) out of my mouth: H6310 it shall not return H7725 (QalImpf) unto me void, H7387 but it shall accomplish H6213 (QalPerf) that which I please, H2654 (QalPerf) and it shall prosper H6743 (HiphPerf) [in the thing] whereto I sent H7971 (QalPerf) it.

So is My word that goeth out of My mouth, It turneth not back unto Me empty, But hath done that which I desired, And prosperously effected that for which I sent it.

For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace. The mountains and the hills will break out before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields will clap their hands.

For with joy ye go forth, And with peace ye are brought in, The mountains and the hills Break forth before you with singing, And all trees of the field clap the hand.

For as the earth produces its bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring up, so the Lord Yahweh will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.

For as the earth H776 bringeth forth H3318 (HiphImpf) her bud, H6780 and as the garden H1593 causeth the things that are sown H2221 in it to spring forth; H6779 (HiphImpf) so the Lord H136 God H3069 will cause righteousness H6666 and praise H8416 to spring forth H6779 (HiphImpf) before all the nations. For, as the earth bringeth forth her shoots, And as a garden causeth its sown things to shoot up, So the Lord Jehovah causeth righteousness and praise To shoot up before all the nations!

For Zion’s sake I will not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness shines out like the dawn, and her salvation like a burning lamp.

For Zion’s sake I am not silent, And for Jerusalem’s sake I do not rest, Till her righteousness go out as brightness, And her salvation, as a torch that burneth.

I will bring offspring out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains. My chosen will inherit it, and my servants will dwell there.

“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

‘Before I form thee in the belly, I have known thee; and before thou comest forth from the womb I have separated thee, a prophet to nations I have made thee.’

You will also leave that place with your hands on your head; for Yahweh has rejected those in whom you trust, and you won’t prosper with them.

Yea, thou shalt go forth H3318 (QalImpf) from him, and thine hands H3027 upon thine head: H7218 for the Lord H3068 hath rejected H3988 (QalPerf) thy confidences, H4009 and thou shalt not prosper H6743 (HiphImpf) in them.

Also from this thou goest out, And thy hands on thy head, For Jehovah hath kicked at thy confidences, And thou dost not give prosperity to them!

Circumcise yourselves to Yahweh, and take away the foreskins of your heart, you men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem; lest my wrath go out like fire, and burn so that no one can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

Be circumcised to Jehovah, And turn aside the foreskins of your heart, O man of Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, Lest My fury go out as fire, and hath burned, And there is none quenching, Because of the evil of your doings.

A lion has gone up from his thicket, and a destroyer of nations. He is on his way. He has gone out from his place, to make your land desolate, that your cities be laid waste, without inhabitant.

Gone up hath a lion from his thicket, And a destroyer of nations hath journeyed, He hath come forth from his place To make thy land become a desolation, Thy cities are laid waste, without inhabitant.

Therefore a lion out of the forest will kill them. A wolf of the evenings will destroy them. A leopard will watch against their cities. Everyone who goes out there will be torn in pieces, because their transgressions are many and their backsliding has increased.

Therefore smitten them hath a lion out of the forest, A wolf of the deserts doth spoil them, A leopard is watching over their cities, Every one who is going out of them is torn, For many have been their transgressions, Mighty have been their backslidings.

Don’t go out into the field or walk by the way; for the sword of the enemy and terror are on every side.

For I did not speak with your fathers, Nor did I command them in the day of My bringing them out of the land of Egypt, Concerning the matters of burnt-offering and sacrifice,

Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt to this day, I have sent to you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them.

Even from the day when your fathers Went out of the land of Egypt till this day, I send to you all my servants the prophets, Daily rising early and sending,

“At that time,” says Yahweh, “they will bring the bones of the kings of Judah, the bones of his princes, the bones of the priests, the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves.

At that time, an affirmation of Jehovah, They bring the bones of the kings of Judah, And the bones of its princes, And the bones of the priests, And the bones of the prophets, And the bones of inhabitants of Jerusalem, Out of their graves,

“They bend their tongue, as their bow, for falsehood. They have grown strong in the land, but not for truth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they don’t know me,” says Yahweh.

And they bend their tongue, their bow is a lie, And not for stedfastness have they been mighty in the land, For from evil unto evil they have gone forth, And Me they have not known, An affirmation of Jehovah!

When he utters his voice, the waters in the heavens roar, and he causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth. He makes lightnings for the rain, and brings the wind out of his treasuries.

When he uttereth H5414 (QalInf) his voice, H6963 [there is] a multitude H1995 of waters H4325 in the heavens, H8064 and he causeth the vapours H5387 to ascend H5927 (HiphImpf) from the ends H7097 of the earth; H776 he maketh H6213 (QalPerf) lightnings H1300 with rain, H4306 and bringeth forth H3318 (HiphImpf) the wind H7307 out of his treasures. At the voice He giveth forth, A multitude of waters is in the heavens, And He causeth vapours to come up from the end of the earth, Lightnings for rain He hath made, And bringeth out wind from His treasures.

My tent has been destroyed, and all my cords are broken. My children have gone away from me, and they are no more. There is no one to spread my tent any more, to set up my curtains.

My tent hath been spoiled, And all my cords have been broken, My sons have gone out from me, and they are not, There is none stretching out any more my tent, And raising up my curtains.

which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the iron furnace,’ saying, ‘Obey my voice and do them, according to all which I command you; so you shall be my people, and I will be your God;

That I commanded your fathers, In the day of My bringing them out from the land of Egypt, Out of the iron furnace, saying, Hearken to My voice, and ye have done them, According to all that I command you, And ye have been to Me for a people, And I am to you for God,

Therefore Yahweh says, ‘Behold, I will bring evil on them which they will not be able to escape; and they will cry to me, but I will not listen to them.

Therefore thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord, H3068 Behold, I will bring H935 (HiphPtc) evil H7451 upon them, which they shall not be able H3201 (QalImpf) to escape; H3318 (QalInf) and though they shall cry H2199 (QalPerf) unto me, I will not hearken H8085 (QalImpf) unto them.

Therefore thus said Jehovah: Lo, I am bringing in unto them evil, That they are not able to go out from, And they have cried unto Me, And I do not hearken unto them.

If I go out into the field, then behold, the slain with the sword! If I enter into the city, then behold, those who are sick with famine! For both the prophet and the priest go about in the land, and have no knowledge.’ ”

If I have gone forth to the field, Then, lo, the pierced of the sword! And if I have entered the city, Then, lo, the diseased of famine! For both prophet and priest have gone up and down Unto a land that they knew not.

Then Yahweh said to me, “Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind would not turn toward this people. Cast them out of my sight, and let them go out!

Then said H559 (QalImpf) the Lord H3068 unto me, Though Moses H4872 and Samuel H8050 stood H5975 (QalImpf) before H6440 me, [yet] my mind H5315 [could] not [be] toward this people: H5971 cast [them] out H7971 (PielImpv) of my sight, H6440 and let them go forth. H3318 (QalImpf)

And Jehovah saith unto me: Though Moses and Samuel should stand before Me, My soul is not toward this people, Send from before My face, and they go out.

It will happen when they ask you, ‘Where shall we go out?’ then you shall tell them, ‘Yahweh says: “Such as are for death, to death; such as are for the sword, to the sword; such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for captivity, to captivity.” ’

And it shall come to pass, if they say H559 (QalImpf) unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? H3318 (QalImpf) then thou shalt tell H559 (QalPerf) them, Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord; H3068 Such as [are] for death, H4194 to death; H4194 and such as [are] for the sword, H2719 to the sword; H2719 and such as [are] for the famine, H7458 to the famine; H7458 and such as [are] for the captivity, H7628 to the captivity. And it hath come to pass, when they say to thee, Whither do we go out? that thou hast said unto them, Thus said Jehovah: Those who are for death-to death, And those who are for the sword, to the sword, And those who are for famine, to famine, And those who are for captivity, to captivity.

Therefore Yahweh says, “If you return, then I will bring you again, that you may stand before me; and if you take out the precious from the vile, you will be as my mouth. They will return to you, but you will not return to them.

Therefore thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord, H3068 If thou return, H7725 (QalImpf) then will I bring thee again, H7725 (HiphImpf) [and] thou shalt stand H5975 (QalImpf) before H6440 me: and if thou take forth H3318 (HiphImpf) the precious H3368 from the vile, H2151 (QalActPtc) thou shalt be as my mouth: H6310 let them return H7725 (QalImpf) unto thee; but return H7725 (QalImpf) not thou unto them.

Therefore, thus said Jehovah: If thou turnest back, then I bring thee back, Before Me thou dost stand, And if thou bringest out the precious from the vile, As My mouth thou art! They-they turn back unto thee, And thou dost not turn back unto them.

Yahweh said this to me: “Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, through which the kings of Judah come in and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem.

Thus said H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 unto me; Go H1980 (QalInf) and stand H5975 (QalPerf) in the gate H8179 of the children H1121 of the people, H5971 whereby the kings H4428 of Judah H3063 come in, H935 (QalImpf) and by the which they go out, H3318 (QalImpf) and in all the gates H8179 of Jerusalem; H3389

Thus said Jehovah unto me: ‘Go, and thou hast stood in the gate of the sons of the people, by which kings of Judah come in, and by which they go out, and in all gates of Jerusalem,

Don’t carry a burden out of your houses on the Sabbath day. Don’t do any work, but make the Sabbath day holy, as I commanded your fathers.

Nor do ye take out a burden from your houses on the day of rest, Yea, any work ye do not do, And ye have sanctified the day of rest, As I have commanded your fathers.

and go out to the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is by the entry of the gate Harsith, and proclaim there the words that I will tell you.

On the next day, Pashhur released Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then Jeremiah said to him, “Yahweh has not called your name Pashhur, but Magormissabib.°

Jeremiah 20:3 “Magormissabib” means “surrounded by terror”

And it came to pass on the morrow, H4283 that Pashur H6583 brought forth H3318 (HiphImpf) Jeremiah H3414 out of the stocks. H4115 Then said H559 (QalImpf) Jeremiah H3414 unto him, The Lord H3068 hath not called H7121 (QalPerf) thy name H8034 Pashur, H6583 but Magormissabib. H4036

And it cometh to pass on the morrow, that Pashhur bringeth out Jeremiah from the stocks, and Jeremiah saith unto him, ‘Not Pashhur hath Jehovah called thy name, but-Magor-Missabib.

Why did I come out of the womb to see labor and sorrow, that my days should be consumed with shame?

Wherefore came I forth H3318 (QalPerf) out of the womb H7358 to see H7200 (QalInf) labour H5999 and sorrow, H3015 that my days H3117 should be consumed H3615 (QalImpf) with shame? H1322

Why is this? from the womb I have come out, To see labour and sorrow, Yea, consumed in shame are my days!

He who remains in this city will die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, but he who goes out and passes over to the Chaldeans who besiege you, he will live, and he will escape with his life.

He that abideth H3427 (QalActPtc) in this city H5892 shall die H4191 (QalImpf) by the sword, H2719 and by the famine, H7458 and by the pestilence: H1698 but he that goeth out, H3318 (QalActPtc) and falleth H5307 (QalPerf) to the Chaldeans H3778 that besiege H6696 (QalActPtc) you, he shall live, H2421 (QalPerf) (Qere) H2421 (QalImpf) and his life H5315 shall be unto him for a prey. Whoso is abiding in this city-dieth, By sword, and by famine, and by pestilence, And whoso is going forth, And hath fallen unto the Chaldeans, Who are laying siege against you-liveth, And his life hath been to him for a spoil.

House of David, Yahweh says, ‘Execute justice in the morning, and deliver him who is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my wrath go out like fire, and burn so that no one can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

O house of David, thus said Jehovah: Decide ye judgment at morning, And deliver the plundered from the hand of the oppressor, Lest My fury go forth as fire, And hath burned, and none is quenching, Because of the evil of your doings.

For Yahweh says touching Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, and who went out of this place: “He won’t return there any more.

For thus said Jehovah concerning Shallum son of Josiah king of Judah, who is reigning instead of Josiah his father, who hath gone forth from this place: He doth not turn back hither again;

Therefore Yahweh of Armies says concerning the prophets: “Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink poisoned water; for from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has gone out into all the land.”

Therefore, thus said Jehovah of Hosts, concerning the prophets: Lo, I am causing them to eat wormwood, And have caused them to drink water of gall, For, from prophets of Jerusalem Hath profanity gone forth to all the land.

Behold, Yahweh’s storm, his wrath, has gone out. Yes, a whirling storm! It will burst on the head of the wicked.

Lo, a whirlwind of Jehovah- Fury hath gone out, even a piercing whirlwind, On the head of the wicked it stayeth.

Yahweh of Armies says, “Behold, evil will go out from nation to nation, and a great storm will be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth.”

Thus said Jehovah of Hosts: Lo, evil is going out from nation to nation, And a great whirlwind is stirred up from the sides of the earth.

They fetched Uriah out of Egypt and brought him to Jehoiakim the king, who killed him with the sword and cast his dead body into the graves of the common people.

And they fetched forth H3318 (HiphImpf) Urijah H223 out of Egypt, H4714 and brought H935 (HiphImpf) him unto Jehoiakim H3079 the king; H4428 who slew H5221 (HiphImpf) him with the sword, H2719 and cast H7993 (HiphImpf) his dead body H5038 into the graves H6913 of the common H1121 people. H5971

And they bring out Urijah from Egypt, and bring him in unto the king Jehoiakim, and he smiteth him with a sword, and casteth his corpse unto the graves of the sons of the people.’

(after Jeconiah the king, the queen mother, the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, the craftsmen, and the smiths had departed from Jerusalem),

After the going forth of Jeconiah the king, and the mistress, and the officers, heads of Judah and Jerusalem, and the artificer, and the smith, from Jerusalem-

Yahweh says concerning the king who sits on David’s throne, and concerning all the people who dwell in this city, your brothers who haven’t gone with you into captivity,

[Know] that thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 of the king H4428 that sitteth H3427 (QalActPtc) upon the throne H3678 of David, H1732 and of all the people H5971 that dwelleth H3427 (QalActPtc) in this city, H5892 [and] of your brethren H251 that are not gone forth H3318 (QalPerf) with you into captivity; H1473

Surely thus said Jehovah concerning the king who is sitting on the throne of David, and concerning all the people that is dwelling in this city, your brethren who went not forth with you in the removal;

Thanksgiving will proceed out of them with the voice of those who make merry. I will multiply them, and they will not be few; I will also glorify them, and they will not be small.

And out of them shall proceed H3318 (QalPerf) thanksgiving H8426 and the voice H6963 of them that make merry: H7832 (PielPtc) and I will multiply H7235 (HiphPerf) them, and they shall not be few; H4591 (QalImpf) I will also glorify H3513 (HiphPerf) them, and they shall not be small. And gone forth from them hath thanksgiving, And the voice of playful ones, And I have multiplied them and they are not few, And made them honourable, and they are not small.

Their prince will be one of them, and their ruler will proceed from among them. I will cause him to draw near, and he will approach me; for who is he who has had boldness to approach me?” says Yahweh.

And their nobles H117 shall be of themselves, and their governor H4910 (QalActPtc) shall proceed H3318 (QalImpf) from the midst H7130 of them; and I will cause him to draw near, H7126 (HiphPerf) and he shall approach H5066 (NiphPerf) unto me: for who [is] this that engaged H6148 (QalPerf) his heart H3820 to approach H5066 (QalInf) unto me? saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord. And his honourable one hath been of himself, And his ruler from his midst goeth forth, And I have caused him to draw near, And he hath drawn nigh unto Me, For who is he who hath pledged his heart To draw nigh unto Me? An affirmation of Jehovah.

Behold, Yahweh’s storm, his wrath, has gone out, a sweeping storm; it will burst on the head of the wicked.

Behold, the whirlwind H5591 of the Lord H3068 goeth forth H3318 (QalPerf) with fury, H2534 a continuing H1641 (HipoPtc) whirlwind: H5591 it shall fall with pain H2342 (QalImpf) upon the head H7218 of the wicked. H7563

Lo, a whirlwind of Jehovah- Fury hath gone forth-a cutting whirlwind, On the head of the wicked it stayeth.

I will build you again, and you will be built, O virgin of Israel. You will again be adorned with your tambourines, and will go out in the dances of those who make merry.

Again I will build H1129 (QalImpf) thee, and thou shalt be built, H1129 (NiphPerf) O virgin H1330 of Israel: H3478 thou shalt again be adorned H5710 (QalImpf) with thy tabrets, H8596 and shalt go forth H3318 (QalPerf) in the dances H4234 of them that make merry. H7832 (PielPtc)

Again do I build thee, And thou hast been built, O virgin of Israel, Again thou puttest on thy tabrets, And hast gone out in the chorus of the playful.

not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, which covenant of mine they broke, although I was a husband to them,” says Yahweh.

Not like the covenant that I made with their fathers, In the day of My laying hold on their hand, To bring them out of the land of Egypt, In that they made void My covenant, And I ruled over them-an affirmation of Jehovah.

The measuring line will go out further straight onward to the hill Gareb, and will turn toward Goah.

And the measuring H4060 line H6957 (Qere) H6961 shall yet go forth H3318 (QalPerf) over against it upon the hill H1389 Gareb, H1619 and shall compass about H5437 (NiphPerf) to Goath. H1601

And gone out again hath the measuring line Over-against it, unto the height of Gareb, And it hath compassed to Goah.

and brought your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, with wonders, with a strong hand, with an outstretched arm, and with great terror;

And hast brought forth H3318 (HiphImpf) thy people H5971 Israel H3478 out of the land H776 of Egypt H4714 with signs, H226 and with wonders, H4159 and with a strong H2389 hand, H3027 and with a stretched out H5186 (QalPasPtc) arm, H248 and with great H1419 terror; H4172

‘And Thou bringest forth Thy people Israel from the land of Egypt, with signs and with wonders, and by a strong hand, and by a stretched-out arm, and by great fear,

“Yahweh, the God of Israel, says: ‘I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, saying:

Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord, H3068 the God H430 of Israel; H3478 I made H3772 (QalPerf) a covenant H1285 with your fathers H1 in the day H3117 that I brought them forth H3318 (HiphInf) out of the land H776 of Egypt, H4714 out of the house H1004 of bondmen, H5650 saying, H559 (QalInf)

‘Thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, I-I made a covenant with your fathers in the day of My bringing them forth fr4om the land of Egypt, from a house of servants, saying,

Now Jeremiah came in and went out among the people, for they had not put him into prison.

Now Jeremiah H3414 came in H935 (QalPerf) and went out H3318 (QalActPtc) among H8432 the people: H5971 for they had not put H5414 (QalPerf) him into prison. H1004 H3628

And Jeremiah is coming in and going out in the midst of the people, (and they have not put him in the prison-house),
