that you shall set apart to Yahweh all that opens the womb, and every firstborn that comes from an animal which you have. The males shall be Yahweh’s.

Terror and dread falls on them. By the greatness of your arm they are as still as a stone, until your people pass over, Yahweh, until the people you have purchased pass over.

Yahweh said to Moses, “Walk on before the people, and take the elders of Israel with you, and take the rod in your hand with which you struck the Nile, and go.

They shall give this, everyone who passes over to those who are counted, half a shekel according to the shekel° of the sanctuary (the shekel is twenty gerahs°); half a shekel for an offering to Yahweh.

Everyone who passes over to those who are counted, from twenty years old and upward, shall give the offering to Yahweh.

πας ο παραπορευομενος εις την επισκεψιν απο εικοσαετους και επανω δωσουσιν την εισφοραν κυριω

He said to them, “Yahweh, the God of Israel, says, ‘Every man put his sword on his thigh, and go back and forth from gate to gate throughout the camp, and every man kill his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbor.’ ”

He said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and will proclaim Yahweh’s name before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.”

και πολεμος ου διελευσεται δια της γης υμων και δωσω ειρηνην εν τη γη υμων και κοιμηθησεσθε και ουκ εσται υμας ο εκφοβων και απολω θηρια πονηρα εκ της γης υμων

All the tithe of the herds or the flocks, whatever passes under the rod, the tenth shall be holy to Yahweh.

And concerning the tithe H4643 of the herd, H1241 or of the flock, H6629 [even] of whatsoever passeth H5674 (QalImpf) under the rod, H7626 the tenth H6224 shall be holy H6944 unto the Lord. H3068

και πασα δεκατη βοων και προβατων και παν ο εαν ελθη εν τω αριθμω υπο την ραβδον το δεκατον εσται αγιον τω κυριω

and the spirit of jealousy comes on him, and he is jealous of his wife and she is defiled; or if the spirit of jealousy comes on him, and he is jealous of his wife and she isn’t defiled;

And the spirit H7307 of jealousy H7068 come H5674 (QalPerf) upon him, and he be jealous H7065 (PielPerf) of his wife, H802 and she be defiled: H2930 (NiphPerf) or if the spirit H7307 of jealousy H7068 come H5674 (QalPerf) upon him, and he be jealous H7065 (PielPerf) of his wife, H802 and she be not defiled: H2930 (NiphPerf)

και επελθη αυτω πνευμα ζηλωσεως και ζηλωση την γυναικα αυτου αυτη δε μεμιανται η επελθη αυτω πνευμα ζηλωσεως και ζηλωση την γυναικα αυτου αυτη δε μη η μεμιαμμενη

or when the spirit of jealousy comes on a man, and he is jealous of his wife; then he shall set the woman before Yahweh, and the priest shall execute on her all this law.

Or when the spirit H7307 of jealousy H7068 cometh H5674 (QalImpf) upon him, H376 and he be jealous H7065 (PielPerf) over his wife, H802 and shall set H5975 (HiphPerf) the woman H802 before H6440 the Lord, H3068 and the priest H3548 shall execute H6213 (QalPerf) upon her all this law. H8451

η ανθρωπος ω εαν επελθη επ αυτον πνευμα ζηλωσεως και ζηλωση την γυναικα αυτου και στησει την γυναικα αυτου εναντι κυριου και ποιησει αυτη ο ιερευς παντα τον νομον τουτον

“ ‘All the days of his vow of separation no razor shall come on his head, until the days are fulfilled in which he separates himself to Yahweh. He shall be holy. He shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow long.

πασας τας ημερας της ευχης του αγνισμου ξυρον ουκ επελευσεται επι την κεφαλην αυτου εως αν πληρωθωσιν αι ημεραι οσας ηυξατο κυριω αγιος εσται τρεφων κομην τριχα κεφαλης

You shall do this to them to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of cleansing on them, let them shave their whole bodies with a razor, let them wash their clothes, and cleanse themselves.

και ουτως ποιησεις αυτοις τον αγνισμον αυτων περιρρανεις αυτους υδωρ αγνισμου και επελευσεται ξυρον επι παν το σωμα αυτων και πλυνουσιν τα ιματια αυτων και καθαροι εσονται

They brought up an evil report of the land which they had spied out to the children of Israel, saying, “The land, through which we have gone to spy it out, is a land that eats up its inhabitants; and all the people who we saw in it are men of great stature.

και εξηνεγκαν εκστασιν της γης ην κατεσκεψαντο αυτην προς τους υιους ισραηλ λεγοντες την γην ην παρηλθομεν αυτην κατασκεψασθαι γη κατεσθουσα τους κατοικουντας επ αυτης εστιν πας ο λαος ον εωρακαμεν εν αυτη ανδρες υπερμηκεις

They spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, “The land, which we passed through to spy it out, is an exceedingly good land.

και ειπαν προς πασαν συναγωγην υιων ισραηλ λεγοντες η γη ην κατεσκεψαμεθα αυτην αγαθη εστιν σφοδρα σφοδρα

Moses said, “Why now do you disobey the commandment of Yahweh, since it shall not prosper?

And Moses H4872 said, H559 (QalImpf) Wherefore now do ye transgress H5674 (QalActPtc) the commandment H6310 of the Lord? H3068 but it shall not prosper. H6743 (QalImpf)

και ειπεν μωυσης ινα τι υμεις παραβαινετε το ρημα κυριου ουκ ευοδα εσται υμιν

“Please let us pass through your land. We will not pass through field or through vineyard, neither will we drink from the water of the wells. We will go along the king’s highway. We will not turn away to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed your border.”

Let us pass, H5674 (QalImpf) I pray thee, through thy country: H776 we will not pass H5674 (QalImpf) through the fields, H7704 or through the vineyards, H3754 neither will we drink H8354 (QalImpf) [of] the water H4325 of the wells: H875 we will go H3212 (QalImpf) by the king’s H4428 [high] way, H1870 we will not turn H5186 (QalImpf) to the right hand H3225 nor to the left, H8040 until we have passed H5674 (QalImpf) thy borders. παρελευσομεθα δια της γης σου ου διελευσομεθα δι αγρων ουδε δι αμπελωνων ουδε πιομεθα υδωρ εκ λακκου σου οδω βασιλικη πορευσομεθα ουκ εκκλινουμεν δεξια ουδε ευωνυμα εως αν παρελθωμεν τα ορια σου

Edom said to him, “You shall not pass through me, lest I come out with the sword against you.”

And Edom H123 said H559 (QalImpf) unto him, Thou shalt not pass H5674 (QalImpf) by me, lest I come out H3318 (QalImpf) against H7125 (QalInf) thee with the sword. H2719

και ειπεν προς αυτον εδωμ ου διελευση δι εμου ει δε μη εν πολεμω εξελευσομαι εις συναντησιν σοι

The children of Israel said to him, “We will go up by the highway; and if we drink your water, I and my livestock, then I will give its price. Only let me, without doing anything else, pass through on my feet.”

And the children H1121 of Israel H3478 said H559 (QalImpf) unto him, We will go H5927 (QalImpf) by the high way: H4546 and if I and my cattle H4735 drink H8354 (QalImpf) of thy water, H4325 then I will pay H5414 (QalPerf) H4377 for it: I will only, without [doing] any thing H1697 [else], go through H5674 (QalImpf) on my feet. και λεγουσιν αυτω οι υιοι ισραηλ παρα το ορος παρελευσομεθα εαν δε του υδατος σου πιωμεν εγω τε και τα κτηνη δωσω τιμην σοι αλλα το πραγμα ουδεν εστιν παρα το ορος παρελευσομεθα

He said, “You shall not pass through.” Edom came out against him with many people, and with a strong hand.

And he said, H559 (QalImpf) Thou shalt not go through. H5674 (QalImpf) And Edom H123 came out H3318 (QalImpf) against H7125 (QalInf) him with much H3515 people, H5971 and with a strong H2389 hand. H3027

ο δε ειπεν ου διελευση δι εμου και εξηλθεν εδωμ εις συναντησιν αυτω εν οχλω βαρει και εν χειρι ισχυρα

Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his border, so Israel turned away from him.

Thus Edom H123 refused H3985 (PielImpf) to give H5414 (QalInf) Israel H3478 passage H5674 (QalInf) through his border: H1366 wherefore Israel H3478 turned away H5186 (QalImpf) from him.

και ουκ ηθελησεν εδωμ δουναι τω ισραηλ παρελθειν δια των οριων αυτου και εξεκλινεν ισραηλ απ αυτου
