και θυμωθεις οργη κυριος επι μωυσην ειπεν ουκ ιδου ααρων ο αδελφος σου ο λευιτης επισταμαι οτι λαλων λαλησει αυτος σοι και ιδου αυτος εξελευσεται εις συναντησιν σοι και ιδων σε χαρησεται εν εαυτω

Yahweh said to Aaron, “Go into the wilderness to meet Moses.” He went, and met him on God’s mountain, and kissed him.

They met Moses and Aaron, who stood along the way, as they came out from Pharaoh.

Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it. Yahweh overthrew the Egyptians in the middle of the sea.

εξετεινεν δε μωυσης την χειρα επι την θαλασσαν και απεκατεστη το υδωρ προς ημεραν επι χωρας οι δε αιγυπτιοι εφυγον υπο το υδωρ και εξετιναξεν κυριος τους αιγυπτιους μεσον της θαλασσης

Moses led the people out of the camp to meet God; and they stood at the lower part of the mountain.

He said, “You shall not pass through.” Edom came out against him with many people, and with a strong hand.

ο δε ειπεν ου διελευση δι εμου και εξηλθεν εδωμ εις συναντησιν αυτω εν οχλω βαρει και εν χειρι ισχυρα

Sihon would not allow Israel to pass through his border, but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness, and came to Jahaz. He fought against Israel.

And Sihon H5511 would not suffer H5414 (QalPerf) Israel H3478 to pass H5674 (QalInf) through his border: H1366 but Sihon H5511 gathered H622 all his people H5971 together, H622 (QalImpf) and went out H3318 (QalImpf) against H7125 (QalInf) Israel H3478 into the wilderness: H4057 and he came H935 (QalImpf) to Jahaz, H3096 and fought H3898 (NiphImpf) against Israel. και ουκ εδωκεν σηων τω ισραηλ παρελθειν δια των οριων αυτου και συνηγαγεν σηων παντα τον λαον αυτου και εξηλθεν παραταξασθαι τω ισραηλ εις την ερημον και ηλθεν εις ιασσα και παρεταξατο τω ισραηλ

They turned and went up by the way of Bashan. Og the king of Bashan went out against them, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.

και επιστρεψαντες ανεβησαν οδον την εις βασαν και εξηλθεν ωγ βασιλευς της βασαν εις συναντησιν αυτοις και πας ο λαος αυτου εις πολεμον εις εδραιν

Balaam said to Yahweh’s angel, “I have sinned; for I didn’t know that you stood in the way against me. Now therefore, if it displeases you, I will go back again.”

When Balak heard that Balaam had come, he went out to meet him to the City of Moab, which is on the border of the Arnon, which is in the utmost part of the border.

Balaam said to Balak, “Stand by your burnt offering, and I will go. Perhaps Yahweh will come to meet me. Whatever he shows me I will tell you.” He went to a bare height.

και ειπεν βαλααμ προς βαλακ παραστηθι επι της θυσιας σου και πορευσομαι ει μοι φανειται ο θεος εν συναντησει και ρημα ο εαν μοι δειξη αναγγελω σοι και παρεστη βαλακ επι της θυσιας αυτου και βαλααμ επορευθη επερωτησαι τον θεον και επορευθη ευθειαν

When Balaam saw that it pleased Yahweh to bless Israel, he didn’t go, as at the other times, to use divination, but he set his face toward the wilderness.

And when Balaam H1109 saw H7200 (QalImpf) that it pleased H5869 H2895 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 to bless H1288 (PielInf) Israel, H3478 he went H1980 (QalPerf) not, as at other times, H6471 to seek H7125 (QalInf) for enchantments, H5173 but he set H7896 (QalImpf) his face H6440 toward the wilderness. και εξηλθεν ο αμορραιος ο κατοικων εν τω ορει εκεινω εις συναντησιν υμιν και κατεδιωξαν υμας ως ει ποιησαισαν αι μελισσαι και ετιτρωσκον υμας απο σηιρ εως ερμα

Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Jahaz.

Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan. Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.

και επιστραφεντες ανεβημεν οδον την εις βασαν και εξηλθεν ωγ βασιλευς της βασαν εις συναντησιν ημιν αυτος και πας ο λαος αυτου εις πολεμον εις εδραιν

When you came to this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon and Og the king of Bashan came out against us to battle, and we struck them.

And when ye came H935 (QalImpf) unto this place, H4725 Sihon H5511 the king H4428 of Heshbon, H2809 and Og H5747 the king H4428 of Bashan, H1316 came out H3318 (QalImpf) against H7125 (QalInf) us unto battle, H4421 and we smote H5221 (HiphImpf) them:

^[29:6] και ηλθετε εως του τοπου τουτου και εξηλθεν σηων βασιλευς εσεβων και ωγ βασιλευς της βασαν εις συναντησιν ημιν εν πολεμω και επαταξαμεν αυτους

I and all the people who are with me will approach the city. It shall happen, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will flee before them.

And I, and all the people H5971 that [are] with me, will approach H7126 (QalImpf) unto the city: H5892 and it shall come to pass, when they come out H3318 (QalImpf) against H7125 (QalInf) us, as at the first, H7223 that we will flee H5127 (QalPerf) before H6440 them,

When the king of Ai saw it, they hurried and rose up early, and the men of the city went out against Israel to battle, he and all his people, at the time appointed, before the Arabah; but he didn’t know that there was an ambush against him behind the city.

και εγενετο ως ειδεν βασιλευς γαι εσπευσεν και εξηλθεν εις συναντησιν αυτοις επ ευθειας εις τον πολεμον αυτος και πας ο λαος ο μετ αυτου και αυτος ουκ ηδει οτι ενεδρα αυτω εστιν οπισω της πολεως

The others came out of the city against them, so they were in the middle of Israel, some on this side, and some on that side. They struck them, so that they let none of them remain or escape.

και ακουσαντες ειπαν προς ημας οι πρεσβυτεροι ημων και παντες οι κατοικουντες την γην ημων λεγοντες λαβετε εαυτοις επισιτισμον εις την οδον και πορευθητε εις συναντησιν αυτων και ερειτε προς αυτους οικεται σου εσμεν και νυν διαθεσθε ημιν διαθηκην

He sent messengers throughout all Manasseh, and they also were gathered together to follow him. He sent messengers to Asher, to Zebulun, and to Naphtali; and they came up to meet them.

The children of Benjamin went out against the people, and were drawn away from the city; and they began to strike and kill of the people as at other times, in the highways, of which one goes up to Bethel and the other to Gibeah, in the field, about thirty men of Israel.

The word of Samuel came to all Israel. Now Israel went out against the Philistines to battle, and encamped beside Ebenezer; and the Philistines encamped in Aphek.

The Philistines put themselves in array against Israel. When they joined battle, Israel was defeated by the Philistines, who killed about four thousand men of the army in the field.

και παρατασσονται οι αλλοφυλοι εις πολεμον επι ισραηλ και εκλινεν ο πολεμος και επταισεν ανηρ ισραηλ ενωπιον αλλοφυλων και επληγησαν εν τη παραταξει εν αγρω τεσσαρες χιλιαδες ανδρων

They went up to the city. As they came within the city, behold, Samuel came out toward them to go up to the high place.
