This is the way it shall be done: every creditor shall release that which he has lent to his neighbor. He shall not require payment from his neighbor and his brother, because Yahweh’s release has been proclaimed.

and this is the matter of the release: Every owner of a loan is to release his hand which he doth lift up against his neighbour, he doth not exact of his neighbour and of his brother, but hath proclaimed a release to Jehovah;

Of a foreigner you may require it; but whatever of yours is with your brother, your hand shall release.

If a poor man, one of your brothers, is with you within any of your gates in your land which Yahweh your God gives you, you shall not harden your heart, nor shut your hand from your poor brother;

‘When there is with thee any needy one of one of thy brethren, in one of thy cities, in thy land which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee, thou dost not harden thy heart, nor shut thy hand from thy needy brother;

but you shall surely open your hand to him, and shall surely lend him sufficient for his need, which he lacks.

You shall surely give, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him, because it is for this thing Yahweh your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you put your hand to.

thou dost certainly give to him, and thy heart is not sad in thy giving to him, for because of this thing doth Jehovah thy God bless thee in all thy works, and in every putting forth of thy hand;

For the poor will never cease out of the land. Therefore I command you to surely open your hand to your brother, to your needy, and to your poor, in your land.

because the needy one doth not cease out of the land, therefore I am commanding thee, saying, Thou dost certainly open thy hand to thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy one, in thy land.

You shall keep the feast of weeks to Yahweh your God with a tribute of a free will offering of your hand, which you shall give according to how Yahweh your God blesses you.

You shall keep a feast to Yahweh your God seven days in the place which Yahweh chooses, because Yahweh your God will bless you in all your increase and in all the work of your hands, and you shall be altogether joyful.

Seven days thou dost feast before Jehovah thy God, in the place which Jehovah doth choose, for Jehovah thy God doth bless thee in all thine increase, and in every work of thy hands, and thou hast been only rejoicing.

Every man shall give as he is able, according to Yahweh your God’s blessing which he has given you.

each according to the gift of his hand, according to the blessing of Jehovah thy God, which He hath given to thee.

The hands of the witnesses shall be first on him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So you shall remove the evil from among you.

even he who cometh in with his neighbour into a forest to hew wood, and his hand hath driven with an axe to cut the tree, and the iron hath slipped from the wood, and hath met his neighbour, and he hath died-he doth flee unto one of these cities, and hath lived,

then the elders of his city shall send and bring him there, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die.

When Yahweh your God delivers it into your hand, you shall strike every male of it with the edge of the sword;

and Jehovah thy God hath given it into thy hand, and thou hast smitten every male of it by the mouth of the sword.

All the elders of that city which is nearest to the slain man shall wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley.

and all the elders of that city, who are near unto the slain one, do wash their hands over the heifer which is beheaded in the valley,

They shall answer and say, “Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it.

When you go out to battle against your enemies, and Yahweh your God delivers them into your hands and you carry them away captive,

‘When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and Jehovah thy God hath given them into thy hand, and thou hast taken captive its captivity,

You shall have a place also outside of the camp where you go relieve yourself.

‘And a station thou hast at the outside of the camp, and thou hast gone out thither without,

You may charge a foreigner interest; but you shall not charge your brother interest, that Yahweh your God may bless you in all that you put your hand to, in the land where you go in to possess it.

To a stranger thou mayest lend in usury, and to thy brother thou dost not lend in usury, so that Jehovah thy God doth bless thee in every putting forth of thy hand on the land whither thou goest in to possess it.

When you come into your neighbor’s standing grain, then you may pluck the ears with your hand; but you shall not use a sickle on your neighbor’s standing grain.

When thou comest in among the standing-corn of thy neighbour, then thou hast plucked the ears with thy hand, but a sickle thou dost not wave over the standing-corn of thy neighbour.

When a man takes a wife and marries her, then it shall be, if she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some unseemly thing in her, that he shall write her a certificate of divorce, put it in her hand, and send her out of his house.

‘When thou reapest thy harvest in thy field, and hast forgotten a sheaf in a field, thou dost not turn back to take it; to the sojourner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, it is; so that Jehovah thy God doth bless thee in all the work of thy hands.

When men strive against each other, and the wife of one draws near to deliver her husband out of the hand of him who strikes him, and puts out her hand, and grabs him by his private parts,

‘When men strive together, one with another, and the wife of the one hath drawn near to deliver her husband out of the hand of his smiter, and hath put forth her hand, and laid hold on his secrets,

The priest shall take the basket out of your hand, and set it down before Yahweh your God’s altar.

Yahweh brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, with great terror, with signs, and with wonders;

‘Cursed is the man who makes an engraved or molten image, an abomination to Yahweh, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’ All the people shall answer and say, ‘Amen.’

‘Cursed is the man who maketh a graven and molten image, the abomination of Jehovah, work of the hands of an artificer, and hath put it in a secret place,-and all the people have answered and said, Amen.

Yahweh will command the blessing on you in your barns, and in all that you put your hand to. He will bless you in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.

‘Jehovah commandeth with thee the blessing in thy storehouses, and in every putting forth of thy hand, and hath blessed thee in the land which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee.

Yahweh will open to you his good treasure in the sky, to give the rain of your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You will lend to many nations, and you will not borrow.

The Lord H3068 shall open H6605 (QalImpf) unto thee his good H2896 treasure, H214 the heaven H8064 to give H5414 (QalInf) the rain H4306 unto thy land H776 in his season, H6256 and to bless H1288 (PielInf) all the work H4639 of thine hand: H3027 and thou shalt lend H3867 (HiphPerf) unto many H7227 nations, H1471 and thou shalt not borrow. ‘Jehovah doth open to thee his good treasure-the heavens-to give the rain of thy land in its season, and to bless all the work of thy hand, and thou hast lent to many nations, and thou-thou dost not borrow.

Yahweh will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you put your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the evil of your doings, by which you have forsaken me.

‘Jehovah doth send on thee the curse, the trouble, and the rebuke, in every putting forth of thy hand which thou dost, till thou art destroyed, and till thou perish hastily, because of the evil of thy doings by which thou hast forsaken Me.

Your sons and your daughters will be given to another people. Your eyes will look and fail with longing for them all day long. There will be no power in your hand.

Thy sons H1121 and thy daughters H1323 [shall be] given H5414 (QalPasPtc) unto another H312 people, H5971 and thine eyes H5869 shall look, H7200 (QalActPtc) and fail H3616 [with longing] for them all the day H3117 long: and [there shall be] no might H410 in thine hand. H3027

‘Thy sons and thy daughters are given to another people, and thine eyes are looking and consuming for them all the day, and thy hand is not to God!

Yahweh your God will make you prosperous in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground, for good; for Yahweh will again rejoice over you for good, as he rejoiced over your fathers,

and Jehovah thy God hath made thee abundant in every work of thy hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, for good; for Jehovah turneth back to rejoice over thee for good, as He rejoiced over thy fathers,

For I know that after my death you will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn away from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will happen to you in the latter days, because you will do that which is evil in Yahweh’s sight, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.”

For I know H3045 (QalPerf) that after H310 my death H4194 ye will utterly H7843 (HiphInf) corrupt H7843 (HiphImpf) [yourselves], and turn aside H5493 (QalPerf) from the way H1870 which I have commanded H6680 (PielPerf) you; and evil H7451 will befall H7122 (QalPerf) you in the latter H319 days; H3117 because ye will do H6213 (QalImpf) evil H7451 in the sight H5869 of the Lord, H3068 to provoke him to anger H3707 (HiphInf) through the work H4639 of your hands. for I have known that after my death ye do very corruptly, and have turned aside out of the way which I commanded you, and evil hath met you in the latter end of the days, because ye do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, to make Him angry with the work of your hands.’

were it not that I feared the provocation of the enemy, lest their adversaries should judge wrongly, lest they should say, ‘Our hand is exalted; Yahweh has not done all this.’ ”

If not-the anger of an enemy I fear, Lest their adversaries know- Lest they say, Our hand is high, And Jehovah hath not wrought all this.

For Yahweh will judge his people, and have compassion on his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, that there is no one remaining, shut up or left at large.

For the Lord H3068 shall judge H1777 (QalImpf) his people, H5971 and repent H5162 (HithImpf) himself for his servants, H5650 when he seeth H7200 (QalImpf) that [their] power H3027 is gone, H235 (QalPerf) and [there is] none H657 shut up, H6113 (QalPasPtc) or left. H5800 (QalPasPtc)

For Jehovah doth judge His people, And for His servants doth repent Himself. For He seeth-the going away of power, And none is restrained and left.

“See now that I myself am he. There is no god with me. I kill and I make alive. I wound and I heal. There is no one who can deliver out of my hand.

See H7200 (QalImpv) now that I, [even] I, [am] he, and [there is] no god H430 with me: I kill, H4191 (HiphImpf) and I make alive; H2421 (PielImpf) I wound, H4272 (QalPerf) and I heal: H7495 (QalImpf) neither [is there any] that can deliver H5337 (HiphPtc) out of my hand. H3027

See ye, now, that I-I am He, And there is no god with Me: I put to death, and I keep alive; I have smitten, and I heal; And there is not from My hand a deliverer,

For I lift up my hand to heaven and declare, as I live forever,

For I lift up unto the heavens My hand, And have said, I live-to the age!

if I sharpen my glittering sword, my hand grasps it in judgment; I will take vengeance on my adversaries, and will repay those who hate me.

If I have sharpened the brightness of My sword, And My hand doth lay hold on judgment, I turn back vengeance to Mine adversaries, And to those hating Me-I repay!

Yes, he loves the people. All his saints are in your hand. They sat down at your feet. Each receives your words.

Yea, H637 he loved H2245 (QalPtc) the people; H5971 all his saints H6918 [are] in thy hand: H3027 and they sat down H8497 (PualPerf) at thy feet; H7272 [every one] shall receive H5375 (QalImpf) of thy words. H1703

Also He is loving the peoples; All His holy ones are in thy hand, And they-they sat down at thy foot, Each He lifteth up at thy words.

This is for Judah. He said, “Hear, Yahweh, the voice of Judah. Bring him in to his people. With his hands he contended for himself. You shall be a help against his adversaries.”

And this [is the blessing] of Judah: H3063 and he said, H559 (QalImpf) Hear, H8085 (QalImpv) Lord, H3068 the voice H6963 of Judah, H3063 and bring H935 (HiphImpf) him unto his people: H5971 let his hands H3027 be sufficient H7227 for him; and be thou an help H5828 [to him] from his enemies. H6862

And this is for Judah; and he saith:- Hear, O Jehovah, the voice of Judah, And unto his people do Thou bring him in; His hand hath striven for him, And an help from his adversaries art Thou.

Yahweh, bless his skills. Accept the work of his hands. Strike through the hips of those who rise up against him, of those who hate him, that they not rise again.”

Bless, O Jehovah, his strength, And the work of his hands Thou acceptest, Smite the loins of his withstanders, And of those hating him-that they rise not!

Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. The children of Israel listened to him, and did as Yahweh commanded Moses.

And Joshua H3091 the son H1121 of Nun H5126 was full H4392 of the spirit H7307 of wisdom; H2451 for Moses H4872 had laid H5564 (QalPerf) his hands H3027 upon him: and the children H1121 of Israel H3478 hearkened H8085 (QalImpf) unto him, and did H6213 (QalImpf) as the Lord H3068 commanded H6680 (PielPerf) Moses. And Joshua son of Nun is full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands upon him, and the sons of Israel hearken unto him, and do as Jehovah commanded Moses.

and in all the mighty hand, and in all the awesome deeds, which Moses did in the sight of all Israel.

And in all that mighty H2389 hand, H3027 and in all the great H1419 terror H4172 which Moses H4872 shewed H6213 (QalPerf) in the sight H5869 of all Israel. H3478

and in reference to all the strong hand, and to all the great fear which Moses did before the eyes of all Israel.

It shall be that whoever goes out of the doors of your house into the street, his blood will be on his head, and we will be guiltless. Whoever is with you in the house, his blood shall be on our head, if any hand is on him.

and it hath been, any one who goeth out from the doors of thy house without, his blood is on his head, and we are innocent; and any one who is with thee in the house, his blood is on our head, if a hand is on him;

They said to Joshua, “Truly Yahweh has delivered all the land into our hands. Moreover, all the inhabitants of the land melt away before us.”

and they say unto Joshua, ‘Surely Jehovah hath given into our hand all the land; and also, all the inhabitants of the land have melted at our presence.’

that all the peoples of the earth may know that Yahweh’s hand is mighty, and that you may fear Yahweh your God forever.’ ”

so that all the people of the land do know the hand of Jehovah that it is strong, so that ye have reverenced Jehovah your God all the days.’

When Joshua was by Jericho, he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, a man stood in front of him with his sword drawn in his hand. Joshua went to him and said to him, “Are you for us, or for our enemies?”

And it cometh to pass in Joshua’s being by Jericho, that he lifteth up his eyes, and looketh, and lo, one standing over-against him, and his drawn sword in his hand, and Joshua goeth unto him, and saith to him, ‘Art thou for us or for our adversaries?’

Yahweh said to Joshua, “Behold, I have given Jericho into your hand, with its king and the mighty men of valor.

And Jehovah saith unto Joshua, ‘See, I have given into thy hand Jericho and its king-mighty ones of valour,

Joshua said, “Alas, Lord Yahweh, why have you brought this people over the Jordan at all, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to cause us to perish? I wish that we had been content and lived beyond the Jordan!

And Joshua saith, ‘Ah, Lord Jehovah, why hast Thou at all caused this people to pass over the Jordan, to give us into the hand of the Amorite to destroy us?-and oh that we had been willing-and we dwell beyond the Jordan!

Yahweh said to Joshua, “Don’t be afraid, and don’t be dismayed. Take all the warriors with you, and arise, go up to Ai. Behold, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, with his people, his city, and his land.

And Jehovah saith unto Joshua, ‘Fear not, nor be affrighted, take with thee all the people of war, and rise, go up to Ai; see, I have given into thy hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land,
