Psalm 40:12 Heb. forsaketh

^[39:13] οτι περιεσχον με κακα ων ουκ εστιν αριθμος κατελαβον με αι ανομιαι μου και ουκ ηδυνηθην του βλεπειν επληθυνθησαν υπερ τας τριχας της κεφαλης μου και η καρδια μου εγκατελιπεν με

Pour out your indignation on them. Let the fierceness of your anger overtake them.

Pour out H8210 (QalImpv) thine indignation H2195 upon them, And let thy wrathful H2740 anger H639 take hold H5381 (HiphImpf) of them.

^[68:25] εκχεον επ αυτους την οργην σου και ο θυμος της οργης σου καταλαβοι αυτους

None who go to her return again, neither do they attain to the paths of life.

παντες οι πορευομενοι εν αυτη ουκ αναστρεψουσιν ουδε μη καταλαβωσιν τριβους ευθειας ου γαρ καταλαμβανονται υπο ενιαυτων ζωης

Then Yahweh’s ransomed ones will return, and come with singing to Zion; and everlasting joy will be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.”

and the ransomed H6299 (QalPasPtc) of the Lord H3068 shall return, H7725 (QalImpf) and come H935 (QalPerf) to Zion H6726 with songs H7440 and everlasting H5769 joy H8057 upon their heads: H7218 they shall obtain H5381 (HiphImpf) joy H8057 and gladness, H8342 and sorrow H3015 and sighing H585 shall flee away. και συνηγμενοι δια κυριον αποστραφησονται και ηξουσιν εις σιων μετ ευφροσυνης και ευφροσυνη αιωνιος υπερ κεφαλης αυτων επι γαρ κεφαλης αυτων αινεσις και αγαλλιαμα και ευφροσυνη καταλημψεται αυτους απεδρα οδυνη και λυπη και στεναγμος

Those ransomed by Yahweh will return, and come with singing to Zion. Everlasting joy shall be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy. Sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

και λελυτρωμενοις υπο γαρ κυριου αποστραφησονται και ηξουσιν εις σιων μετ ευφροσυνης και αγαλλιαματος αιωνιου επι γαρ της κεφαλης αυτων αγαλλιασις και αινεσις και ευφροσυνη καταλημψεται αυτους απεδρα οδυνη και λυπη και στεναγμος

Therefore justice is far from us, and righteousness doesn’t overtake us. We look for light, but see darkness; for brightness, but we walk in obscurity.

δια τουτο απεστη η κρισις απ αυτων και ου μη καταλαβη αυτους δικαιοσυνη υπομειναντων αυτων φως εγενετο αυτοις σκοτος μειναντες αυγην εν αωρια περιεπατησαν

Jeremiah 39:5 Heb. spake with him judgments

then it will happen that the sword, which you fear, will overtake you there in the land of Egypt; and the famine, about which you are afraid, will follow close behind you there in Egypt; and you will die there.

και κατεδιωξεν η δυναμις των χαλδαιων οπισω του βασιλεως και κατελαβον αυτον εν τω περαν ιεριχω και παντες οι παιδες αυτου διεσπαρησαν απ αυτου

Judah has gone into captivity because of affliction and because of great servitude. She dwells among the nations. She finds no rest. All her persecutors overtook her in her distress.

μετωκισθη η ιουδαια απο ταπεινωσεως αυτης και απο πληθους δουλειας αυτης εκαθισεν εν εθνεσιν ουχ ευρεν αναπαυσιν παντες οι καταδιωκοντες αυτην κατελαβον αυτην ανα μεσον των θλιβοντων

“Israel, you have sinned from the days of Gibeah. There they remained. The battle against the children of iniquity doesn’t overtake them in Gibeah.
