But in all this, I was not at Jerusalem; for in the thirty-second year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon I went to the king; and after some days I asked leave of the king,

As for that night, let thick darkness seize on it. Let it not rejoice among the days of the year. Let it not come into the number of the months.

If they listen and serve him, they will spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

I say, ‘My God, take me not up in the midst of my days,’ Through all generations are Thine years.

But you are the same. Your years will have no end.

And Thou art the same, and Thine years are not finished.

for they will add to you length of days, years of life, and peace.

For length of days and years, Life and peace they do add to thee.

Listen, my son, and receive my sayings. The years of your life will be many.

Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, And years of life are multiplied to thee.

lest you give your honor to others, and your years to the cruel one;

Lest thou give to others thy honour, And thy years to the fierce,

For by me your days will be multiplied. The years of your life will be increased.

The fear of Yahweh prolongs days, but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

The fear of Jehovah addeth days, And the years of the wicked are shortened.

If a man fathers a hundred children, and lives many years, so that the days of his years are many, but his soul is not filled with good, and moreover he has no burial, I say that a stillborn child is better than he;

And though he had lived a thousand years twice over, yet good he hath not seen; to the same place doth not every one go?

Yes, if a man lives many years, let him rejoice in them all; but let him remember the days of darkness, for they shall be many. All that comes is vanity.

In the year of the death of king Uzziah-I see the Lord, sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and His train is filling the temple.

This burden was in the year that King Ahaz died.

But now Yahweh has spoken, saying, “Within three years, as a worker bound by contract would count them, the glory of Moab shall be brought into contempt, with all his great multitude; and the remnant will be very small and feeble.”

For thus said the Lord unto me: ‘Within a year, as years of a hireling, Consumed hath been all the honour of Kedar.

It will come to pass in that day that Tyre will be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king. After the end of seventy years it will be to Tyre like in the song of the prostitute.

And it hath come to pass, in that day, That forgotten is Tyre seventy years, According to the days of one king. At the end of seventy years there is to Tyre as the song of the harlot.

It will happen after the end of seventy years that Yahweh will visit Tyre. She will return to her wages, and will play the prostitute with all the kingdoms of the world on the surface of the earth.

And it shall come to pass after the end H7093 of seventy H7657 years, H8141 that the Lord H3068 will visit H6485 (QalImpf) Tyre, H6865 and she shall turn H7725 (QalPerf) to her hire, H868 and shall commit fornication H2181 (QalPerf) with all the kingdoms H4467 of the world H776 upon the face H6440 of the earth. And it hath come to pass, At the end of seventy years Jehovah inspecteth Tyre, And she hath repented of her gift, That she committed fornication With all kingdoms of the earth on the face of the ground.

Woe to Ariel! Ariel, the city where David encamped! Add year to year; let the feasts come around;

For Yahweh has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion.
