I have turned so as to see under the sun, that not to the swift is the race, nor to the mighty the battle, nor even to the wise bread, nor even to the intelligent wealth, nor even to the skilful grace, for time and chance happen with them all.

Before the sun, the light, the moon, and the stars are darkened, and the clouds return after the rain;

Isaiah 1:25 tin is a metal that is separated from silver during the refining and purification process.

Zion shall be redeemed with justice, and her converts with righteousness.

Zion in judgment is redeemed, And her captivity in righteousness.

Therefore Yahweh’s anger burns against his people, and he has stretched out his hand against them and has struck them. The mountains tremble, and their dead bodies are as refuse in the middle of the streets. For all this, his anger is not turned away, but his hand is still stretched out.

The Syrians in front, and the Philistines behind; and they will devour Israel with open mouth. For all this, his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

A remnant will return, even the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.

For Yahweh of Armies has planned, and who can stop it? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?”

Yahweh will strike Egypt, striking and healing. They will return to Yahweh, and he will be entreated by them, and will heal them.

and a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.

When I look, there is no man, even among them there is no counselor who, when I ask, can answer a word.

But this is a robbed and plundered people. All of them are snared in holes, and they are hidden in prisons. They have become captives, and no one delivers, and a plunder, and no one says, ‘Restore them!’

And this is a people seized and spoiled, Snared in holes-all of them, And in houses of restraint they were hidden, They have been for a prey, And there is no deliverer, A spoil, and none is saying, ‘Restore.’

Yes, since the day was, I am he. There is no one who can deliver out of my hand. I will work, and who can hinder it?”

Even from the day I am He, And there is no deliverer from My hand, I work, and who doth turn it back?

No one thinks, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, “I have burned part of it in the fire. Yes, I have also baked bread on its coals. I have roasted meat and eaten it. Shall I make the rest of it into an abomination? Shall I bow down to a tree trunk?”

And none doth turn it back unto his heart, Nor hath knowledge nor understanding to say, ‘Half of it I have burned in the fire, Yea, also, I have baked bread over its coals, I roast flesh and I eat, And its remnant for an abomination I make, To the stock of a tree I fall down.’

I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.

Now Yahweh, he who formed me from the womb to be his servant, says to bring Jacob again to him, and to gather Israel to him, for I am honorable in Yahweh’s eyes, and my God has become my strength.

And now, said Jehovah, who is forming me from the belly for a servant to Him, To bring back Jacob unto Him, (Though Israel is not gathered, Yet I am honoured in the eyes of Jehovah, And my God hath been my strength.)

Indeed, he says, “It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give you as a light to the nations, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.”

And he said, H559 (QalImpf) It is a light thing H7043 (NiphPerf) that thou shouldest be my servant H5650 to raise up H6965 (HiphInf) the tribes H7626 of Jacob, H3290 and to restore H7725 (HiphInf) the preserved H5341 (QalPasPtc) (Qere) H5336 of Israel: H3478 I will also give H5414 (QalPerf) thee for a light H216 to the Gentiles, H1471 that thou mayest be my salvation H3444 unto the end H7097 of the earth. H776

And He saith, ‘It hath been a light thing That thou art to Me for a servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob, And the preserved of Israel to bring back, And I have given thee for a light of nations, To be My salvation unto the end of the earth.’

Those ransomed by Yahweh will return, and come with singing to Zion. Everlasting joy shall be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy. Sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Therefore the redeemed H6299 (QalPasPtc) of the Lord H3068 shall return, H7725 (QalImpf) and come H935 (QalPerf) with singing H7440 unto Zion; H6726 and everlasting H5769 joy H8057 [shall be] upon their head: H7218 they shall obtain H5381 (HiphImpf) gladness H8342 and joy; H8057 [and] sorrow H3015 and mourning H585 shall flee away. And the ransomed of Jehovah turn back, And they have come to Zion with singing, And joy age-during is on their head, Gladness and joy they attain, Fled away have sorrow and sighing,

Your watchmen lift up their voice. Together they sing; for they shall see eye to eye when Yahweh returns to Zion.

Thy watchmen H6822 (QalActPtc) shall lift up H5375 (QalPerf) the voice; H6963 with the voice H6963 together H3162 shall they sing: H7442 (PielImpf) for they shall see H7200 (QalImpf) eye H5869 to eye, H5869 when the Lord H3068 shall bring again H7725 (QalInf) Zion. H6726

The voice of thy watchmen! They have lifted up the voice, together they cry aloud, Because eye to eye they see, in Jehovah’s turning back to Zion.

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him, to our God, for he will freely pardon.

Let the wicked H7563 forsake H5800 (QalImpf) his way, H1870 and the unrighteous H205 man H376 his thoughts: H4284 and let him return H7725 (QalImpf) unto the Lord, H3068 and he will have mercy H7355 (PielImpf) upon him; and to our God, H430 for he will abundantly H7235 (HiphImpf) pardon. Forsake doth the wicked his way, And the man of iniquity his thoughts, And he returneth to Jehovah, and He pitieth him, And unto our God for He multiplieth to pardon.
